    Disclaimer: I am not a structural engineer, so the examples used in this video is for educational purposes only. An engineer would be required to do load calculations in order to determine the correct proportions of material (sand, cement, gravel, water), and steel; as well as the type of column and beams that would be required to support the slab.
    Now, because I have done many slab plans in the past, I think I know enough to be able to teach you the "basics". However, for the engineers out there, please correct me where I am wrong. ☺
    In this video, I explained the basics of how a slab reinforcement plan in produced. First, its important understand how concrete and steel work and why combining both of these materials together makes for great construction.
    I do hope that by the end of this video, you will have a better understanding/appreciation of slab reinforcement plans and how to produce one in AutoCAD.

    Thanks for the video. I have a question for you. A question that I keep asking without any answer so far. For the top bars (OSB - Over Support Bars) there is a clash at the four corners, that is, they cannot be at the same Top/Top (T/T) or T1 level at the four corners. Hope you can help me on this. Sometimes there are situation where the main bars does not span across the shortest span. Can you speak on this? thanks.

    what is the normal size of a slab before considering over load support?
    I also would like to know at what slab size do you consider sleeping beam?
    Thanks

    How do i determine the spacing between the main , ditribution and over support bars

    • @TDVision_U
      @TDVision_U  2 года назад

      Those are usually calculated, so an engineer would help out with that. I used typical numbers for this example.
