AUDIENCE REVIEWS coming Monday. Outtakes too. New song cover is next on the agenda. It's been a while.
I don't know where you'd fit it in, exactly, but I hope you end up using a Christopher Walken or a Jack Nicholson
I hope we hear a Roger Ebert and/or Siskel Ebert impression.
@@carter_lovejoy or Nostalgia Critic or Chris Stuckmann or the Sardonicast boys lol. That'd be funny

*The perfect way to make fun of the Rotten Tomatoes' Critics.*
People need to understand that Rotten Tomatoes doesn’t have their own critics, what they do is take reviews from the newspaper, articles, and online reviews and put them together in a average consensus. and the score is meant to say “what percentage of critics recommend this movie”
There is just no room for a little childlike wonder in this cold, heartless world we've been indoctrinated to survive in.
So the key to being a critic is to come up with kewl puns? Got it!
lmao
And poor grammar.
no no
they have to be

That entire thing is a run-on sentence.
Modern day movie critics, ladies and gentlemen.
Clearly you need to be a die hard fan to understand the VERY deep lore from Super Mario and the in depths stories within
Fr, you could not find a more clueless bunch of reviewers if you tried. Some of the puns didn't even make any sense.
The Gameboy is battery powered
Bruh
😂😂😂
Should've said Nintendo. I gave that review... a 1 out of 10.
Also, damn. Beat me to it.
Just tells you how out of touch they are
Critics really think because their critics, they have to act like the one from Ratatouille
To celebrate the Mario Movie, I recommend singing Jump Up, Super Star in Mario voices. (Which could be interpreted as either characters from the Mario franchise or different voices of Mario from various iterations.)
I second that 😁!
toad sings Thunderstruck
@@notdemomantf2294😂 we can only imagine
Let’s be real, we all stopped talking rotten tomatoes seriously after cuties
And The Last Jedi.
@@ChristianFrates1997 The Rise of Skywalker has a critic rating of 52% and an audience score of 86%. But sure, keep trying to push that narrative.
And now that I'm reminded of cuties, I just threw up in my mouth a Little bit
We don’t speak of that hideous film.
Honestly when ever I need to know if the movie i'm about to watch is good I look at the rotten tomatoes audience score or watch a non-spoiler review on RUclips
In the end, it comes to show that all those critics are wrong. The Mario movie is most certainly a good movie to behold and they don't know on what they're missing out on.
Well they're sorta right when it comes to talking about the story and characters which admittedly do need some proper fixing.
But as for what they said about the source material and its fans, um yeah, screw them!
Most of them are just adults who hate wonder and creativity.
dude the mario movie sucked.
There are legit criticisms to be had about the movie, and I have a few myself.
But I can't help but think there's still a bit of that video game stigma lingering in these people's minds.
"As fun as an unplugged GameBoy".
Like you have at least a dozen major consoles to choose from, and you pick a battery powered one.
Serious movie reviewers when the Mario kids movie is fun and light and isn’t a slowburning atmospheric thriller with a heavy subtext and a twist ending: 🤯🤬😡
You don't need those to have a good movie, but you need more than endless references.
And also just because it's a kids movie that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to make the movie good!
Consumers when critics don’t think The Super Advertisement Bros Movie is perfect:
10/10 film. It’s in my top 5 favorites.
The fact the sheer the number of people saying "it loves the source to much" or "not enough references"
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t…
Can we just have one franchise that isn't super serious? A franchise that isn't about questioning the folly of the human condition and is instead just about watching a colorful mustache man punch a turtle really hard?
Exactly!
@@rasengdori13 Not every movie can be deep and complex, y'know.

I have not seen the movie yet but if I end up not liking it I'd still laugh at this video because I got a sense of humor 😂

"THEY MAKE MOVIE TO MAKE MONEY? WHAT?????????"
U nailed this. This is FUCING AMAZING
Critics when the animated movie doesn’t have a realistic depiction of a panic attack
so puss in boots 2?
😂😂😂👍🏻 I’ve never bothered with critics and the way RUclipsrs I watch are dragging them has been wonderful. Thanks for this video.
I found the movie quite riveting
Critics when a movie isn't some pretentious award bait bullshit:
I mean, a couple of them are valid. It’s a really fun movie for the kids and casual Mario fans, but it’s not a heartstopping contender to the Sonic movies. One of its biggest faults is some of its voice acting choices.
Also lmao, all of the gaming puns here.
Who was cast wrong though?
@@user-Tod-The-Toadster Mario, mainly.
@@TimeLord675 how? He sounds like a realistic Brooklynite which is exactly what he is in the movie, you can't say a different take on a character is incorrect because you don't agree with it
Most of these critics were spot on as well. Like i liked the movie well enough, bit its also so very safe and by the numbers.
"The mario movie has the charm of an unplugged gameboy"
Guys who's going to tell him
The 2 extremes of the Mario Movie discourse:
1. "This children's movie based on a video game franchise with little to no story is childish and has little to no story. It's automatically a horrible abomination because of that."
2. "THE MARIO MOVIE IS AN AMAZING CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE IT IS MY CHILDHOOD COME TO LIFE ANYBODY WHO THINKS THIS MOVIE IS BAD IS JUST AN IMMATURE BABY THERE IS NO VALID CRITIQUE THAT CAN BE LEVIED AT THIS MOVIE I WANT THIS FILM TO MARRY ME!!!!!!!!"
Or the option 3: the mario movie was pretty fun overall and does the source material justice but has some pacing issues and some of the characters like luigi should have had a bit more screentime
the rainbow gum analogy was actually pretty fitting... and at least they didn't try saying the movie should get a "reboot" or the writing compartment could've used a "second player" who's "actually good at their job"... the video game puns were so cheesy, im surprised those people proof-read their review and said "this is ready for submission"
Love the reviews as always!
Way to go Brock! Just missing Gracist Randolph’s review.
In all seriousness, it’s painfully ironic that critics trash this movie yet they praised the Avatar sequel, The Way of Water, which was literally the same derivative garbage as the first terrible movie.
Congrats you just discovered opinions.
"The Super Mario movie has all the charm of an unplugged Gameboy."
- If you're going to use a Nintendo console for a pun: you're not doing yourself any favors if you don't even know how that console works. Gameboys use BATTERIES! 😂
"They make movie to make money? WHAT?!"
These critics just scream
r/iamverysmart
You nailed it with this one. Must say though, having watched the movie I enjoyed it but felt the licensed music and a lack of Luigi kind of killed it. Jack Black is always fun but his song about Peach was real cringe. Otherwise, it's alright but I feel like there could've been a bit more to it since some of it felt rushed. I mean, what would you expect from the crew who made the Teen Titans Go to the Movies movie. Most disappointingly was the finale where it's Peach that breaks herself out rather than Mario himself. At least Charles had a fun cameo in all languages which is cool.
Wow, this is like reading reviews from people (moviegoers) on Rotten Tomatoes.

... game boys are handhelds... they don't need to be plugged in.
Well, what did these "critics" expect from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, SHAKESPEARE????? I bet these "critics" have either never played a video game in their lives or are just a bunch of anhedonic, quadrilateral baby-boomer aged AWFFULs - Adults Who Find Fun Unbearably Loathesome. Hell, they don't know what fun at the movies is unless it shoved a bag of hot, buttered popcorn down their warp zones. BTW, great video, Brock!
I almost expected a squidward voice

"All the charm of an unplugged Game Boy" ... ??? .... WTF does that even mean? That was what it was designed for! That was the charm of a Game Boy!!
‘All the charm of an _unplugged_ GameBoy’? What is that supposed to mean? What does that even _mean???_
These reviews are wild.
This was fantastic.
Thank you, James!
I can just picture the thought process of the dude that was clearly 90 that compared the movie to an unplugged Gameboy.
Most of the audio reminded me of the Devil from CupHead missing KAKAKAK
I enjoyed the snooty voice 😂😂😂
Ok, I'm fine with people not liking the movie, but my god these reviews are pretentious. Even watching Brock read them in his awesome voice was torture.
Reminder; Critics really do not have a point anymore, thanks to the internet. Even this is more attention than they deserve.

Surprised you didn't do it as Mario & Luigi.
Come on, people. Who plays a Mario game (or in this case, watch a Mario movie) for the plot? The whole pint of Mario as a series is that what it lacks in a compelling narrative, it makes it up with banging soundtracks, eye-popping visuals, and memorable characters & moments. Not to mention wonderful gameplay.
This, right here. In that respect, it's a perfect adaptation.
Then play the video games.

Y’all can roast me all you want, I didn’t really love the Mario Bros movie. But critics using fancy verbiage to describe how “trite” and “unsophisticated” it is are goobers lol
the film was completely lacking any semblence of chun-li
Anyone else in the minority feeling that this is like Marvel or Star Wars blindness ? I love Mario but this felt like a nothing movie that looks kinda like a 3d mario game sometimes (I got sonic frontiers vibes at some point lmao). Why does nobody want to admit that no plotpoint or character they introduce have any real impact on the story ? All they made up is the great Kong army but they literally put it down the drain halfway through.
Alan Alda?
Karens at it again.
Snooty opinions that couldn't make it in the New Yorker.

Lmao
People who complaint about the story of the movie have never played a Mario game before
People who complain about people who want a good story in a cinematic medium have never seen a film before.
It’s hilarious how thinly skinned people on the internet get when a movie critic has a different opinion than them and don’t think a soulless advertisement film is perfect.
It's sad how you seem to put movie critics up on a pedestal
You call it a soulless advertisement while defending soulless reviews. 🤔 Now THAT'S hilarious!
Wahoo
LOL XD
The fact that these critics expect people to take themselves seriously and look to them as the authority on media is somehow both depressing and hilarous.
Most of these critiques were spot on, wdym?
I can’t believe the Mario Bros Profile Pic channel is going to bat for a billionaire corporation’s advertisement film!
Mario's always sucked, I don't know what people expected.
Lol, my review would fit in well with these since it doesn't wholeheartedly praise the movie like 80% of people. Please roast me! Here it is:
The reviews that mention the movie is for "die-hard fans only" irritate me the most. As a huge fan (not sure what defines a die-hard fan), the movie was a disappointment to me for its lack of references. Zero references to the RPG games, the Party games, the sports games, the lack of characters that aren't just the rehashed, mainline cast. The movie was made for fans who played Mario on their Wii when they were little and havent played anything since. Essentially just a nostalgia bait appealing to the casualest (i know its not a word) of the Mario casuals
Bowser's relationship with Peach was so painfully cringe. They absolutely butchered Bowser in that regard. I feel like acknowledging him as Bowser is a disservice to the character
Shallow "Mario rescues Peach from Bowser" plot. Even modern Paper Mario has more effort in their stories and its purpose is for playing, not watching
Jack Black did alright at Bowser but it would've been MUCH better if he added more gravel to his voice. They should've got a Lou Albano and a Danny Wells sound-alike to voice Mario and Luigi
They sidelined Luigi pretty hard despite him being just as important as Mario
I could go on honestly. 7/10 as a movie, 3/10 as a Mario movie
'promo sm'
I bet all the critics are butt hurt as they watch this.
they are mostly butthurt that the movie made, $1.1 billion worldwide
