Its a fun little cover song that would be a fun b-side track....but to choose this as their debut English single is like the weirdest choice ever. Idk what Starship were thinking with this one....ntm they had absolutely zero promo to hype up the release. Idk its all just odd tbh when everything Ive has put out so far has been fairly cohesive with a clear vision.
Once I discovered Kpop I kinda switched over cause they cover multiple genres spanning from 80's synth, Y2K, Influences from western rappers, and mid 2000's edm. They make it engaging with the switch ups and different song structures. American music sounds mediocre to me and don't take as much risks.
I'm really surprised NO ONE put together the fact that IVE is about to go on a world tour. This song just seems built just for that, like they just wanted an uptempo kind of song to hype the crowd. Don't think it is meant to be an actual charting single per se, just an all english cover with a club beat. I mean I could totally see this being one of those songs during the tour set that they drop to get everyone jumping, maybe halfway thru the set to get that energy flowing again...beat drops, confetti falls...everyone screams and jumps....something like that. Watching peeps in various comment sections get all bothered about it has been hilarious - it AIN'T THAT SERIOUS people...
