This is the only product that I will use! My wash n gos last a week+. Also, thank you for shark black owned products. The fact that you don't have to do this, but do it anyway! I think it's great and appreciated. 😊
The kinky curly knot today doesn't have any water in it if you look at the ingredients so I would recommend putting it on soaking wet hair to help distribute it and then microplopping to get the water out. I would also recommend the kinky curly come clean shampoo. It's a great clarifying shampoo and will definitely remove any gunk from your hair
That's a good point. I hadn't even thought about the lack of water in the ingredients. Definitely some good advice here. Another thing I might try is mixing it with water in my hands before applying. Maybe that would help too. I've heard a lot of great things about the Kinky-Curly Come Clean, so if I have a chance to grab it, I definitely will! Thanks for all your great recommendations.
Biracial girl here! Black mom and Irish and Scottish dad. I absolutely love these products! I’ve been using them for yrs. I’m actually using them today after my wash routine. Thanks for supporting 🙏🏽🪄✨🤍
I love the custard, and get consistent results whenever I use it. I have used the conditioner as a leave in, and a rinse out, on soaking wet, as well as damp hair. I find it extremely hard to detangle, and it does not leave my curls moisturized at all. I know people get amazing results with it, my hair just does not take to it well. That being said, I love the fragrance of both of them, but that custard smells like a cupcake and I am here for it lol! ❤️
Yeah, I've definitely found that the conditioner really doesn't work to detangle. But that's fair. It's interesting how different each persons hair is and how one product can work well for some and not others. I'm glad the custard works well for you. I need to experiment with it as well. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that! I thought I was going crazy when my first thought was "...cake?". 😂 But it's a big plus in my books.
I have been using their products for awhile and i really like them. The shampoo is so good and it's moisturizing. For my baby fine super soft hair I use the conditioner as a rinse out. I get better clumping with this product than any other. My hair is so fine that i don't get great clumps, but this stuff helps. Unfortunately, I can't use the gel because it has chamomile and i'm allergic to it. Their ingredient list is short, which I like also. There products don't have a lot of junk in them.
That's good to know! I'll definitely have to grab the shampoo if I get the chance and I'll try the conditioner as a rinse out. I remember you saying that about the chamomile in the Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic too. That's too bad, but I get it. I'm just curious what your favorite gel is to use with that in mind. I know a lot of the more natural gels have things like chamomile or wheat in them.
I bought the kinky curly custard, but it has been sitting in my bathroom for about a month (it looks so intimidating haha!). Maybe I’ll give it a try today!! Thanks for the review! :)
I definitely get that. I'll be honest, I have a few of these kinds of products too 😅 I've found it pretty easy to work with though, so I hope it goes well for you!

Thank you for your comment! This really is such a great product. I'm probably going to have to rebuy it soon. ☺ It's amazing how well it works.
