Considering that Grimmel, the villain for the third movie, claimed that he'd killed all of the Night Furies but hadn't even realized Toothless existed, it's highly possible he hasn't killed them all. I'd bet there r otherwms out there somewhere
ya know. i think the reason being is sometimes when around stronger life, the other life becomes stronger with it being able to endure much longer in a certain region then others who haven’t been around stronger life. how that ties into this next part is basically all the knowledge grimmer has about night furies might not apply to toothless. the night fury settled in the cold and was trained to fly farther and faster. as well as to recognize weapons or aggression. and probably no furies ever reached alpha status. as a result, grimmer tried to play smart and not killing the alpha too early. and making good sure the alpha can’t order to attack. *all this was probably unnecessarily long or not needed*
@@nickkozak4763 drago from the second movie wore a Cape made from most likely night fury ,also in the first movie toothless recognises the knife as a threat multiple times therefore he experienced humans somewhere .
I think what grimmel did was only killing some of them and after not seeing any of them he tought they got extint, thr world is giant and maybe only some night furys got on those island loosing theyre group
I have a theory, maybe night fury's arent native to the Viking regions Some of them might venture in to the Viking regions, so they might be native to more southern regions This might explain why Toothless was always heating up his bed or he is a skilled swimmer, or the fact that he has fins like a fish
The swimming and fins part is plausible but the heating up the bed part doesn't make sense. If he is native to the southern regions then cold shouldn't be a problem to him in viking regions. If he comes from colder climates he'll be used to the cold and when he gets somewhere warmer it'll feel like the weather is 120 C° to him, for example get a person that lives in antarctica and put him in America, somewhere like california and see what happens
Aside from Toothless, I think that it is not entirely impossible for all to die for several reasons: (I'm open to exceptions in all my claims)... #1) They probably didn't go to the Hidden World, b'coz NFury eggs are layed on mountain tops so they are a) away from predators, & b) where there is lightning. NFury eggs need to be struck by lightning to hatch. #2) It's possible they went to the Hidden World, but NFuri (like many irl animals) *probably* live in a specific area of the world. Like the eastern side of the Archipelago, (farther from THW), & LFuries probably made it b'coz they're a subspecies that just lives closer to the west. They might migrate, *but* if an animal doesn't naturally migrate, they *maybe* wouldn't. They are smart, but still.😊😊 #3) If the director himself says it's so, & if you agree w/ cannon, then that's what happened.😊 #4) Our reaction to this says a lot about us. That's why I'm okay with it. Ex: my inability to cope w/ the fact that the franchise is over. Hidden World taught me I can appreciate the lessons/ experiences of a journey, but I shouldn't be stuck in it. For me, the franchise is much like my childhood: I need to not cling to b'coz of my life ahead of me, but it was fun & I won't forget the best parts of it.
One of our watchers brought to our attention that the Light Fury doesn't teleport, but merely disappears by mirroring her scales to environment as a sort of cloaking mechanism.
don't forget this the creator sent a link of a night fury egg and info and they eggs only hatch if struck by lightning and are on top of mountains and screaming deaths is a night fury predator so I doubt its in the hidden world.
on what information is this Assumption lean on? in my opinion, in the movies, it will turn out to be some kind of illusion. it will definitely won't be teleportation, in my opinion, at least, it makes no sense for it to teleport.
In reality yes, more Night Furies seem plausible and I was hoping Toothless would find one/his real mate/more of them in the hidden world.Dean DeBlois confirmed that while there are other Light Furies, Toothless is the last of his kind. Also, Dean confirmed that the Light Fury is not teleporting. She is simply cloaking. She super heats her scales and being white, they mirror the environment, effectively turning her invisible so she can fly away unseen.
That is a good point. Dean DeBlois literally said Toothless is the last Night Fury though Also the Light Fury didn't teleport. She uses that blast to heat her scales in order to turn them mirror-like, and so they reflect against the environment. She doesn't teleport; she cloaks.
Yes but Didn’t he also claim there may be more because of the hidden world? Even if the Hidden World was not a factor, as a writer myself, authors sometimes will restate the narrative that is set for the characters at that point in time. Someone who is in love with someone may not be in the second book. A world populated by mythical monsters may not be in the third, and so on so forth. Writers often say what they WANT the readers or audience to keep their focus on. In the previous movies we were told by the narrative that Toothless was the last of his kind ever... in this new movie we see that he clearly isn’t.
Thanks for the link, Kawaii! This clears up the cloaking thing and honestly, that's pretty cool. She evolved from black scales cloaking the night to white scales being able to cloak anywhere. There was somewhere else where Deblois said there "might" be other Night Furies, but I'd have to hunt it down. Nevertheless, it seems like one of the things they'll just leave up in the air as it would make things too competitive if Toothless had another suitor after his girl and it wouldn't make sense to introduce that as the creators are trying to close out the series. It would be quite interesting if they added that into the miniseries or comics. Kawaii, this actually gives us another idea for a video. This is awesome!
Exactly thats what im saying. Also it makes no sense that the dragons would give the WHOLE EARTH to the humans when they most likely evolved before humans walked the earth. I doubt all the dragons in the whole world went to the hidden world,it just seems so out of place. These dragons have adapted to their environments and now have to adapt to there ancestral home just because of humans.
Good point. But ppl adapt, & I'm sure som1 w/ the right skills & mind could *eventually* figure out how to. That's something that makes me sad about the modern day is we are told all these cliches about "you can do anything", "you can change the world", & we say them without knowing why. We treat them like cliches (b'coz they are). Well, humans are special. We evolved to be problem solving prodigies, we are builders, doctors, and creators as well as conquerors. We can crush mountains or build shelters, we can level forests or regrow them, tame seas, harvesting what it provides and keep it healthy too. And we underestimate ourselves a lot. We underestimate these trappers too. Obviously, what they do isn't helpful, but those abilities could've been put towards something awesome. See, we aren't limited to instincts or being just good or evil, we defy that to create a better tomorrow. We are never limited to our boundaries we can train, build, or think beyond them. Don't let som1 make you think other wise souly b'coz you were born human. Not perfect & gifted. ...you guys are awesome, okay.😊😊
I think he didnt got them all okay it can be true that he killed a lot but probably there are still other nightfury's out there maybe in the hiddwn world far in the hidden world hidden somewere were no other dragon dare to come were they cant hear toothless roar or any other dragon

I don't think Toothless is the last of his kind, he may be the only one in the archipelago, but not the last one overall. Night furies could be native elsewhere, and some just wandered into places they weren't supposed to. Like Hiccup said in the first film, "No one has ever killed a night fury". If Grimmel was so well known for his night fury genocide, it should have reached Berk too. Stoik knew him, otherwise Grimmel wouldn't have commented on how great of a chief he was. Also, wouldn't they have gotten Grimmel to come kill Toothless if they knew what he did in the first film? Some plot lines just don't add up there. On top of that, like Alteori said, night furies are among the smartest dragons in their world. They would know if they were in danger, and they would go into hiding to protect themselves. Grimmel may claim to have killed them all, but i highly doubt he did. He can't have killed a whole species in his lifetime, especially such an intelligent species like the night furies. Night furies are elusive, and well as highly evasive due to their speed, agility, and camoflauge, especially in dark areas. This is why i have high doubts that Toothless is the last one. Grimmel may have killed the ones he found, but he would have to go very much out of his way to try killing all of them, but even then, he is very unlikely to have done that. Night furies learn, and adapt. They would know to hide, and they have very good tools at their disposal to do just that. Even if the director said Toothless is the last one, it doesn't make any sense from a realistic standpoint which is why i don't believe it. There are more, We just haven't seen them.
It doesn't make sense, if Grimmel has killed every nightfury but toothless, then he would've met Valka, or atleast seen the mountain she lived in. Yes, Grimmel could've killed the nightfuries when they were outside the alpha's mountain, But then he would investigate that specific mountain because, if there were nightfuries that were near the mountain, he would probably think that mountain contains many other Nightfuries.

A thing I gotta mention, I don’t believe grimmel killed every single night fury. However I do know he killed many, but he probably claims that based on the frequency he had seen them
I really love the concept of more living night furies, and I would’ve loved seeing the interaction of toothless and his old family, flashbacks on what happened to his family, or meeting a foreign clan of night furies in an unknown area.
I Have A Theory. The LightFury And NightFury Are 2 Separate Species. But They Haven't Diverged Enough To Make Hybrids Impossible Between The Two. So At The End. The Night Fury Might Go Extinct After Toothless Die In A Way. But The Offsprings Will Be Part NightFury So No At The Same Time. Or Maybe Toothless Is Part Of One Of Several Subspecies The NightFury Contains
Possibly. It is still an interesting theory that more may be out there albeit, not many. Coelacanths were thought to be extinct until we found out they weren't.
Actually i think there are alot of night fury's hiding and that hybrid's are possible BUT it will not be a pure breed night fury unless toothless finds another night fury. Directors confirmed that the lightfury is a subspecies and quote on quote "isn't the last of her kind unlike toothless". there isn't a way to hunt a dragon near extinction there will always be more that will be away from the dangers of humans. i don't believe that toothless is the last nightfury
I just wanted to tell you something REALLY important in the German version of the trailer Grimmel said that he CAPTURED every Nightfury except Toothless (I know that because I live in Germany and so I can speak German) and my theory is that they aren't extinct just captured in traps and closed away in cages from the rest of the world like we see in the trailer with the Lightfury I hope that helps you and keep making videos Alteori
The How to Train Your Dragon 3 trailer debunks your theory. In the trailer the hunter named Grimmel says that he killed every single Night Fury except Toothless so he IS the last one. PS The director of the How to Train Your Dragon movies confirmed in a recent inteview that the Light Fury is NOT in fact a Night Fury and unlike Toothless she is not the last of her kind.
It has been confirmed that their are other light furies however not night furies. They are also confirmed to be different species so the light furies could be the only furies with cloaking for all we know. She has now seen it
Tommy The omega nerd Yeah, Hello Future Me did a video about how there are probably more than one species of fury (examples: Nightfury, Lightfury, Sandfury (dont know if it is actually what it is called but it is from one of the games)

Im not trying 2 be rude: The light fury doesn't acctually teleport. It changes its scales to its surroundings, like the invisibility cloak in Harry Potter. WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD OF THIS PART!! Toothless is in fact the last of his kind. You find this out in the new httyd film. The new enemy is said to be the smartest dragon hunter out there and that if he leaves tracks behind it's deliberate. The moment the new dragon hunter knows about Toothless the people that work for him actually say " looks like one of them slipped past your grips" you also find out that Grimmel (I think that's his name) acctually hunted down every night fury execpt that Toothless escaped, as Toothless is the same age as hiccup the night furys may have gone extinct when Toothless was young, a baby, and so he wasn't taught the abilities that Toothless acctually had because he had no teacher, because Grimmel hunted them down,. Sorry this is long. Please don't complain I gave every one a warning before this section of information. I was not trying to come across a rude either. I was just trying to state facts.

HTTYD 3 Theory: Astrid “Toothless has a girlfriend now.” I’m guessing this means that possibly Toothless can breed with the Lightfury in order to make a hybrid or make the species increase. Many of you probably know that the Lightfury is a subspecies of the Nightfury. In the trailer it shows eggs when they enter the Hidden World which looked like tiny Lightfuries (or Nightfuries). So maybe the Lightfury has children already?
people always assume that the light fury is a subspecies of the night fury, when they are not! they are different species, like lion and tigers, that evolved from a common ancestor and are very closely related. right on point though for the rest
@@雷-t3j True, but different species don't naturally want to mate. You have a point, but what you described is like a subspecies on this case, right? From a common ancestor, and they are common enough to mate.
You are right. Aside from Toothless & his babies, I think that it is not entirely impossible for all to die for several reasons: (I'm open to exceptions in all my claims)... They are smart, but still.😊😊 #3) If the director himself says it's so, & if you agree w/ cannon, then that's what happened.😊 #4) (Side Note:) Our reaction to this says a lot about us. That's why I like it. Ex: my inability to cope w/ the fact that the franchise is over. Hidden World taught me I can appreciate the lessons/ experiences of a journey, but I shouldn't be stuck in it. For me, the franchise is much like my childhood: I need to not cling to it b'coz of my life ahead of me, but it was fun & I won't forget the best parts of it.
i think light fury and night fury is like a persian cat and angora cat, they are different race but still a cat and they can mating and have a hybrid offsprings.

Toothless is the last night fury, the creators of how to train your dragons have said as much, they have also said that the light Fury is not a Night Fury but rather it is a subspecies of the Night Fury that has adapted differently to its own individual environment, and unlike toothless our light Fury is not the last of her kind this has also been said. And she doesn't teleport, when she flies through the fire and smoke that black smoke covers her scales allowing her to blend into the night sky, so it's basically an illusion, just like an octopus squirting ink.
They’re not just absent on Berk. They’re absent from Berserker Island, as Dagur the Deranged once exclaimed, “They’re real! I thought they were just a myth” when he first saw Toothless. Same with the Edge and every island within several hundred miles.
basically all night furies moved far away from humanity to escape potential threat, but toothless got a bit too curious. yeah that actually does sound like a pretty plausible scenario
I almost thought so too.

Nightfuries maybe live in warmer biomes or near the equator and also live in caves up in the mountains. But no I never thought such an intelligent dragon could get that low on the charts unless they went out like the dinosaurs, haha, they are so adaptable that it’s kind of hard to kill them off without murdering most spices.
I always thought the Light Fury was just an albino species of Night Fury. Also, I'm not sure. I suppose there COULD be more Night Furies out there than just Toothless.
I did too. When I saw the poster, I thought this would be the plot. In the behinning, we see hiccup in distress feeling sad about his dad, or even feeling regrets about being cheif. Our new villian comes in, and mentions the fact that he hunts nightfuries and that there is a way to find them, hiccup hears this and snatches a map or some notes of some sort showing ways to this island. Hiccup and Astrid travel there, and hiccup gives toothless his own tail and bides a farewell as he and Astrid further explore the island and let toothless find the nightfuries. They find the lightfury, who happens to simply be an albino nightfury with genetic deformities, the fact that she is totally smooth and lacking any fins and nubs renders her FLIGHTLESS, and she is almost like a jewel hidden away in the masses of nightfuries. But the lightfury is the daughter of the alpha of the nightfuries, we see the night furies from toothless's perspective, he's flying on a coast and sees the lightfury. And she darts into the brush, toothless follows and we expect him to hit something but he opens his eyes, in bewilderment he sees a giant cave lit by corals, fireworms, and the blue illuminating light from the crystal stalactites. And it looks like some sort of utopia for dragons, toothless lands on a cliff in the caves and nightfuries are flying about, and then the alpha confronts him. And he's curious, he's welcomed in without the nightfuries knowing he's in fact the alpha of dragons, noe moving to hiccup and Astrid, they walk along the other side, and find a cove, they talk and flirt before they decide to look for the nightfuries. When they round a corner the villian pops up. With a knife to hiccups throat, stormfly comes in and spike shots scaring them away, Astrid and hiccup flee, trying to find a way to build forces to protect the island. Let's say their talking, planning, and hiccup trips, falling into the same hole toothless went into, he lands on a small cliff and Astrid climbs down. They see all the nightfurys and explore around, and we see babies and such. nightfuries surround them and toothless comes through the crowd, hiccups pets toothless and the alpha follows behind toothless sniffing him, some stuff happens, then hiccup try's to bond with the alpha, and the lightfury gets more developed into the story through some scenes were toothless and her bond. Similar to what we see in the 3rd movie trailor :) then, hiccup gets the alpha to get the nightfuries together to attack and protect the island. And they attack the villian who comes in on several ships, but eventually toothless and hiccup get separated, and all the nightfuries get lured away somehow, maybe by fear, idk. The lightfury stays and trusts hiccup, toothless flus, to the nightfurys and gets them to join their forces again, toothless goes into alpha mode after the alpha nf challenges his honor, he leads them back into the fight and they win. After this, there's a moment on a hill with toothless and the lightfury, Hiccup holds toothless as he says his final goodbyes, he goes to stormfly and gets on the back seat with Astrid, and they fly to berk. Hiccup talks about how the dragons have to go, and he explains why. Wich is because he realised as long there are dragons there are people who want to harm them. He leads all the dragons back to the giant island wich was where the nightfurys where, and the last scene is hiccup at berk, older. And wiser, and he says, there were dragons when I was a boy. And only a few know where they are now. *just a note, the island is literally somewhere nobody would find it. Not even us humans nowadays* It's really scrappy but I wasn't planning on developing it very well since I'm obviously not dean. These aren't scene ideas, this a plot. So it's not detailed anyways. I thought the fact the lightfury would be an oddball and flightless would be awesome.
Goldy beis I really enjoyed reading this thx for taking the time I’m sad that that’s the last movie but I think I would have still enjoyed it the same if that was the plot cause toothless wouldn’t be lonely

I think Toothless is instinct. But I also think there are a lot more of the light furies, according to all the eggs of light furies in the hidden world.

I have a theory that night furies can survive in the cold if they found a hidden Arctic volcanic island Grimmel stated that night furies can’t survive were it is cold so what about a Arctic volcanic Islands because volcanos Are hot & warm and can sustain many night furies and over time the night furies that live inside of these hidden volcanic Islands will soon adapt to the cold and survive but also come back to the volcano to rest and sleep and go out to hunt fish like cod or haddock

In how to train your dragon 1 when hiccup was talking about where the place was located solidly on the meridian of Missouri and 12days north of freezing to death would you go there and look for dragons to see if they exist

yes they are extinct, only toothless left. The white one is a Light fury. Need a confirm? here *"The Light Fury is a species name given to her by Hiccup and Astrid. We deliberately didn’t give her a personal name, because we wanted to keep her wild. She isn’t a Night Fury, she’s a variation of the species with her own traits and abilities. Unlike Toothless, she is not the last of her kind."* Dean DeBlois HIMSELF wrote that. so he confirmed hes the last of his kind!

She has been with dragons for 20 years remember. In that scene it is shown that she moves her fingers down his neck to the spot she might have just felt something hiccup never bothered to notice before because he was to distracted
No there should be more of them . Like they mentioned that Bork the bold knows about a island Full of night furies.so there should be more night furies hidden anywhere. As in how to train your dragon 3 grizmo hunted every night fury in the world except toothless. But I think that there would be more night furies. Like there should be toothless's family hidden somewhere.
I don't think that he's the last of his kind bc what if there is a chance in the hidden world that hiccup and toothless comes across another Night Fury or Light Fury? Sure, we know that it's not likely for this to happen but think about it. In the hidden world trailer we see that there are some kind of dragons inside of the dragon eggs in the trailer. So would that be like a whole new species of Night Furies or are they just another new dragon? What I'm saying probably doesn't make sense but just some thoughts here and there.
Sure because the place they were in the hidden world sure isnt the whole place i think maybe somewere far/deep in the hidden world there are lot of nightfury's and because they are so deep in the hidden world they cant hear toothless and any other dragon and the dragons that know it probably dont dare to come to that place because of the nightfury's grimmel is probably like drago saying he hunted every nightfury but that is imposible knowing were nightfury's are capeble of the director is saying that the nightfury's are extinct but they arentso its gonna be a suprise
The blue eyes nightfury looks like my fanfic nightfury Her name is Eclipse and she is Toothless’s oldest sister. (I decided he needed at least one family member.) She is an alpha too and she is missing her right tail fun but can fly cause she lost it when she was a baby

Claire: we have to save the dinosaurs Eli Mills: toothless is the last of hes kind Claire: bruh this ain't Jurassic Park anymore [insert forbidden word] off.
Nate Zero Bro. Acctualy ligth furies and nigth furies are two diffirent spieces of the fury family (thats how i call it) but they could mate just like donkeies and horses it makes a mule, mules being a hybrid so we migth see a ligth fury and nigth fury Hybrid
It would be cool if the lightfury was an oddball, and if she was 100 smooth without any fins and so that would render her flightless. Maybe in the past nightfuries had a huge colony. Hidden away in a giant super hidden island.
The light fury doesn’t have the ability to teleport to the hidden world. She just turns invisible when she flies throw her fire so people think she disappears
in the 3rd movie trailer the villain said "I have hunted every nightfury except yours hiccup" soooo... they are extinct (lightfurys are technically a different species but are not extinct)
Grimmle can’t confirm that toothless was the only one that slipped out or if there are night fury’s in the hidden world or if there are night fury’s randomly scattered around the world or if there in a safe spot somewhere Grimmle or any human can get them
A little late i know but there is a comic that came out three years before HTTYD The Hidden World called The Last Night Fury that hinted The Night Fury Species is native to the British Isles around Scotland and it center's around another Night Fury couple, Eli and Luna, who are not related to Toothless but are well aware of who he is.
Dean DeBlois might have been referring to living night furies when he explicitly implied that Toothless was the last Night Fury. Opinionatedly, it’s very difficult to believe that Night Furies all departed from the Hidden World, the network of huge caverns where literally all dragons originated from. And I honestly doubt that Grimmel hunted them to the Hidden World because he would have been butchered by all the dragons dwelling there before he could even attempt to disguise himself. Maybe there were Night Fury eggs that were still unhatched inside the Hidden World. It would be like a Game of Thrones logic, where the last dragon(which in this case is Toothless) is actually the last hatched dragon, while eggs of that dragon do still exist. Therefore it’s totally possible that DeBlois didn’t include the unhatched Night Fury eggs as members of the species hence why he said that Toothless was the last Night Fury, because only hatched ones were considered. I believe that Skrills might discover these eggs as in the movie they were shown to inhabit the Hidden World. This would imply that Toothless might be challenged, as one of those Night Fury eggs might hatch and become a Titan Wing, an elite class of dragon that not even Toothless has attained. Now that would be interesting
I have a theory!! So.. We have only ever seen a male Nightfury and a female Lightfury.. Are there ONLY male nightfurys and ONLY female lightfurys? Some animals do look different due to their gender.. And this would make sence.
Raptor_ Extreme I’m depressed we won’t get more movies but maybe/hopefully we get ep of Astrid’s and Hiccups kids growing up or ep for after the wedding seeing the new berk come to be and all that
to be fair, they didn't know a lot about night furies because they don't contact the rest of the archipelago often and they'd only ever been tormented by toothless or maybe his parents, though it is very unlikely that they wouldn't hear about it sooner than the time the third movie rolled around.
Honestly a good theory I found on Reddit (regarding their colour, dislike for cold and other things) theorises that they came from somewhere further down south in w warmer climate, so they may be just not in the area.
If we can see another Light Fury on the hidden world when Toothless Roars Means theres some hiding Night Furys there too or maybe anothwr hidden world of dragons?

I always thought toothless would find another night fury to continue the night fury bloodline with, but instead me meets the light fury and creates a hole new species; Night Lights. A night fury light fury hybrid.
For the most part toothless seemed to not need the spines on his back for the whole lot of stuff he did with hicupp. Same as the glowing blue while challenging the alpha
The light fury doesnt have spikes like the night fury does (toothless), then the fins on their tails are a lot like a whales tail fin to possibly propell themselves in the water (the creators got inspiration from a whale for him too-) so maybe the light fury is a species that mainly lives near the water or in watery climates because they have a mini sail on their back instead of spikes (Also in the books of how to train your dragon Toothless had gills right behind his ears- maybe he still has gills? I dunno-)
“Unholy offspring of lightning and death itself” My brain: So, you remember Thor Ragnarok and Hela? Me: ... BRO, WHAT THE HECKY HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! Brain: I mean, that’s qualify. Unholy. Lightning. Death. And if Loki could produce an eight legged horse, etc. then I mean... Me: Do you even know how much I hate you? WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!?!?!
I simply cannot and will not accept that Grimmel - a mere human - was able to kill off Night Furies. Makes no sense! If they're so powerful and OP, a group of Night Furies could have simply cloaked, flown away or beat the living shite out of him. The directors just wanted to be like... Okay, they died. By the hand of ONE man 😂😂 come onnn
OMG! Didn't anybody understand?!! When the light fury disappears into a "DIFFERANT" dimension or whatever, she isn't!! She's just being invisible! clearly nobody watched the movie that well
I never thought they were extinct, no one Dragon Hunter can simply hunt down and kill off a *highly* intelligent and *extremely* powerful creature with just a small army. It's practically *impossible,* and adaption to certain or many environments can make that even more so. Just what I think, well 1/10 of what I think about the whole "Night Furys are extinct" thing.
Toothless is the last of he’s kind. The villain killed every single night fury other than toothless and the light fury goes invisible. How do I know this? I seen the movie but toothless is no longer the last of he’s kind because light fury and baby’s
Personally I love this theory a lot. Although yes Dean confirm Toothless is the last of his kind I love the idea of the night furies being smart enough to not be found. I believe that this theory and other theories make great seeds for a "What if" story.
PIN MEH OR TOOTHLESS WILL MURDER THE HUMAN RACE
Thepphakan (Marcel) Guillory he still will if we don’t obey the nightfuries
That can't happen not even red death or bewilder beast can kill the human race we are simply to strong.
Yes but toothless is secretly creating an army of genetically modified dawn and dusk furies
All hail lord mishka the ca-I’m dead
Thepphakan (Marcel) Guillory you are selfish.
@@thesilentmothtrapper4373 i wonder where the Night fury experienced weapons??! BERK?!
it was there in the prologue
I think what grimmel did was only killing some of them and after not seeing any of them he tought they got extint, thr world is giant and maybe only some night furys got on those island loosing theyre group
@@nickkozak4763 a good summary
I have a theory, maybe night fury's arent native to the Viking regions
Some of them might venture in to the Viking regions, so they might be native to more southern regions
This might explain why Toothless was always heating up his bed or he is a skilled swimmer, or the fact that he has fins like a fish
THAT IS TOTALLY POSSIBLE! That's a great theory!
Indoraptor Unstopable exactly! Night Furies are from a different part of the word, Grimmel only hunted the ones he fuound, and that's not all of them
Alteori
also, Toothless is still alive so.... Night Furys arent extinct right?
The swimming and fins part is plausible but the heating up the bed part doesn't make sense. If he is native to the southern regions then cold shouldn't be a problem to him in viking regions. If he comes from colder climates he'll be used to the cold and when he gets somewhere warmer it'll feel like the weather is 120 C° to him, for example get a person that lives in antarctica and put him in America, somewhere like california and see what happens
Aside from Toothless, I think that it is not entirely impossible for all to die for several reasons:
(I'm open to exceptions in all my claims)...
They are smart, but still.😊😊
#3) If the director himself says it's so, & if you agree w/ cannon, then that's what happened.😊
#4) Our reaction to this says a lot about us.
Alteori hmm Sounds Similar to Toothless in the first movie
don't forget this the creator sent a link of a night fury egg and info and they eggs only hatch if struck by lightning and are on top of mountains and screaming deaths is a night fury predator so I doubt its in the hidden world.
on what information is this Assumption lean on? in my opinion, in the movies, it will turn out to be some kind of illusion. it will definitely won't be teleportation, in my opinion, at least, it makes no sense for it to teleport.
Wow dragons have retro reflection panels?!
Still they could have used that to hide
In reality yes, more Night Furies seem plausible and I was hoping Toothless would find one/his real mate/more of them in the hidden world.Dean DeBlois confirmed that while there are other Light Furies, Toothless is the last of his kind.
Also, Dean confirmed that the Light Fury is not teleporting. She is simply cloaking. She super heats her scales and being white, they mirror the environment, effectively turning her invisible so she can fly away unseen.
That is a good point.

Nice lol
Im dying
Toothless is a Night Fury. So, it ain't extinct
RainchenYT clever boy/girl
I was about to say the same
Nice logic
They say he's last
RainchenYT ur right and he has kids so that means there’s going to be more
Dean DeBlois literally said Toothless is the last Night Fury though
Also the Light Fury didn't teleport.
The last bit ain’t confirmed at all
At least in the movies
Oh ok I respect you
Thanks for the link, Kawaii!
If night fury's are so hard to kill how would they be extinct. They are so strong. If anything they would make humans go extinct.
Well the bad guy in HTTYD 3 are the one who kill all night FURRY except Toothless
C - Man explain that to Grimmel
C - Man there are not true believers are so annoying
There is no way that one guy hunted them all down
How can you be sure you got them all

It's sad & weird to me that Grimmel is like humanity, they hav lots of misconceptions around them & hav ppl talking crap befor ppl even know the full story. I read this whole thing on him befor the release of THW, & his story was made, just not mentioned in the movies. It even went w/ the tradition of the other movies, the source of conflict being understandable. But I guess b'coz of what happened previously, Grimmel's purpose in the story wasn't to hav us feel bad for him. Maybe none of his story was relevant, aside from the fact that during his study he happened to never see dragons' good side.🥺
In short, I read that Grimmel wanted to eliminate the threat, b'coz every1 he knew, & wat they endured solidified his beliefs of dragons being dangerous. He even had friends revealing the might & wonder in ppl that he wanted to survive.😥 He loved the ppl around him enough he just hated the thing that appeared to hurt them. It seems a bit pitiful, but really, his past was the usual lose, fear, & destruction. It wasn't all ego, & he just happened to never find a reason to care about dragons. He went from potentially good to determined, & unapologetic. He cared about ppl a lot mor than I imagined, just also being mean.😊
The truth is, he was doing wrong things 4 understandable reasons. Same way previous sources of conflict did.🤔 G had reason & knew why he was a hunter, & didn't need justification b'coz his truth has evidence, it just isn't perfect. Ppl don't usually believe somthing strongly to be stubborn/ hears their polar opposite belief & role w/ it, so I don't see G as stupid, just misguided, similarly to Stoick.

Also, he didn't just go around walking on/betraying ppl. He had som honor, he just doesn't care if #1) they betray/disrespect him first, & #2) if they were a treat to him trying to help ppl.

True, but night furies are probably already rare species.
Hate to break it to ya but i dont recall who but one of the bad guys did admit to it...
@PatchesPlaayz Oh sorry i didn't realize
I think Valka has seen night furies before because she is the one who triggered the fins on his back meaning she had studied them before.
“I’ve hunted every nightfury but yours”
This line in the trailer continues to claim that nightfurys are extinct.

MidNight 11 The directors confirmed the light fury is a subspecies
I think that females are light, and males are dark to hunt
Actually i think there are alot of night fury's hiding and that hybrid's are possible BUT it will not be a pure breed night fury unless toothless finds another night fury. Directors confirmed that the lightfury is a subspecies and quote on quote "isn't the last of her kind unlike toothless". there isn't a way to hunt a dragon near extinction there will always be more that will be away from the dangers of humans. i don't believe that toothless is the last nightfury
But if the directors said “she isn’t the last of her species UNLIKE toothless” doesn’t that mean they confirmed he’s the last night fury?
I just wanted to tell you something REALLY important
in the German version of the trailer Grimmel said that he CAPTURED every Nightfury except Toothless (I know that because I live in Germany and so I can speak German)
and my theory is that they aren't extinct just captured in traps and closed away in cages from the rest of the world like we see in the trailer with the Lightfury
I hope that helps you and keep making videos Alteori
The How to Train Your Dragon 3 trailer debunks your theory. In the trailer the hunter named Grimmel says that he killed every single Night Fury except Toothless so he IS the last one.
PS The director of the How to Train Your Dragon movies confirmed in a recent inteview that the Light Fury is NOT in fact a Night Fury and unlike Toothless she is not the last of her kind.
Dominik Świątek. what about the female there might be more a crost the would
To be fair he thinks he has. Maybe there's more but so far I'm guessing it's just Toothless and the Light Fury.
The thing is that the director of the movies confirmed that Toothless is the last of his kind.
How can Grimmel be sure he got them all
He can't search every corner of the world
Agreed. Someone believing they have killed them all doesn't necessarily mean they have.

I’m guessing this means that possibly Toothless can breed with the Lightfury in order to make a hybrid or make the species increase. Many of you probably know that the Lightfury is a subspecies of the Nightfury. In the trailer it shows eggs when they enter the Hidden World which looked like tiny Lightfuries (or Nightfuries). So maybe the Lightfury has children already?

@@雷-t3j True, but different species don't naturally want to mate. You have a point, but what you described is like a subspecies on this case, right? From a common ancestor, and they are common enough to mate.

Also, he didn't just go around walking on/betraying ppl. He had som honor, he just doesn't care if #1) they betray/disrespect him first, & #2) if they were a treat to him trying to help ppl.
Details on his story could've helped. I think it could've added to his purpose, his view, & the decision that both mankind & dragons are better not harming each other.😊

After this, there's a moment on a hill with toothless and the lightfury,
Hiccup holds toothless as he says his final goodbyes, he goes to stormfly and gets on the back seat with Astrid, and they fly to berk. Not even us humans nowadays*
It's really scrappy but I wasn't planning on developing it very well since I'm obviously not dean.

I think Toothless is instinct. But I also think there are a lot more of the light furies, according to all the eggs of light furies in the hidden world.

Who would win in a fight? Nightfury/Toothless or Indoraptor/Ripper
Codfish Productions one can fly, is the fastest dragon and the smartest, and shoots plasma balls. Ita not really a fair fight
Totes Toothless! But I know T enough to know he’d let Ripper live.
The last art of Toothless scared me ;w;
If the night fury and the light fury had a baby wouldn’t it be like a yen yang fury or something
in the film they....
TW King Omega yeah it’s black and white
Maybe like a fog fury or cloud fury!
What if..they are called..NIGHT LIGHTS 😀😀😀
They do and their called NightLights
I have a theory that night furies can survive in the cold if they found a hidden Arctic volcanic island Grimmel stated that night furies can’t survive were it is cold so what about a Arctic volcanic Islands because volcanos Are hot & warm and can sustain many night furies and over time the night furies that live inside of these hidden volcanic Islands will soon adapt to the cold and survive but also come back to the volcano to rest and sleep and go out to hunt fish like cod or haddock
No they’re not extinct.
Toothless exists.
Therefore the species is not extinct.
but as soon as toothless dies the species will be extinct IF there are truly no more night furys.
They're Endangered
Ur talking about the night furies in the film, cuz they don't exist in the real life
Agreed.

yes they are extinct, only toothless left. Unlike Toothless, she is not the last of her kind."*

This is my Theory , remember the dramillions? From race to the edge , the dramillions could shoot plasma blasts but toothless didn’t shoot one first , so the dramillions must of seen a night fury before

I don't know if this question has been answered but....
How did Valka know about Toothless' "spines" if she has never seen one?
The blue eyes nightfury looks like my fanfic nightfury
Her name is Eclipse and she is Toothless’s oldest sister. (I decided he needed at least one family member.) She is an alpha too and she is missing her right tail fun but can fly cause she lost it when she was a baby
I think all the night furries are in the hidden world
Ye and are hidden far in the hidden world were nearly no other dragon comes
Nice video Alteori
Well not yet he might get it on with the light fury
T😂😂😂
He does... but in a cute, innocent way.

Nate Zero Bro light fury's are a subspecies just like a wolf is a species while a husky is another thing
Nate Zero Bro the director himself said that the light fury is a different species with different characteristics and abilitys
Light furies are subspecies
Hannah Browning exactly
The thumbnail is absolutely terrifying
You talk about more on Toothless than the other dragons in the movie and series franchise. Hookfang, Stormfly, Meatlug, Barf and Belch need love too
Ikr lots of PPL love toothless more I think DreamWorks Is Making toothless to cute.
It would be cool if the lightfury was an oddball, and if she was 100 smooth without any fins and so that would render her flightless. Maybe in the past nightfuries had a huge colony. Hidden away in a giant super hidden island.
Well, as discovered in RTTE, Night Furies are absent in the entire archipelago. That’s a lot of islands, as seen in Hiccup’s map in HTTYD 2
Fun fact, dragons can live up to 500,000,000 years and fire dragons can sleep under lava for 3,000 years
The light fury doesn’t have the ability to teleport to the hidden world. She just turns invisible when she flies throw her fire so people think she disappears
By the way i really love your channel
in the 3rd movie trailer the villain said "I have hunted every nightfury except yours hiccup" soooo... they are extinct (lightfurys are technically a different species but are not extinct)
The thumbnail looks so terrifying
i realy already thought this but thx for putting this into words
The visible mockery in the end asking us if we thought Toothless was the last felt great because he actually was.
Ya know,I had a dream last night that if toothless shot five blasts right after each other it would make the BIGGEST BLAST IN HISTORY
Now we now they re not extinct.
But its sad this was the last movie...
Raptor_ Extreme I’m depressed we won’t get more movies but maybe/hopefully we get ep of Astrid’s and Hiccups kids growing up or ep for after the wedding seeing the new berk come to be and all that
@@joseph-vt9ep I hope so maybe the serie Race to The Edge dont stop
the light fury is not a night fury it's a breed of night furies
The HTTYD 3 The hidden world explained that the new Antagonist has "Hunted every Night Fury, except yours...." which is aimed towards Toothless.
to be fair, they didn't know a lot about night furies because they don't contact the rest of the archipelago often and they'd only ever been tormented by toothless or maybe his parents, though it is very unlikely that they wouldn't hear about it sooner than the time the third movie rolled around.
Honestly a good theory I found on Reddit (regarding their colour, dislike for cold and other things) theorises that they came from somewhere further down south in w warmer climate, so they may be just not in the area.
Love the Thumbnail.
If we can see another Light Fury on the hidden world when Toothless Roars
Means theres some hiding Night Furys there too or maybe anothwr hidden world of dragons?
Back then I thought
Speaking of Night Furies near extinction, there are some things about Grimmel I need to voice:
If this is too long, you can visit either 'grimmelsgirl' on Tumblr or 'swangrizly' on instagram.
(Everything hereafter is not to say killing dragons is good, or that Grimmel's justified. Just voicing som fun facts).😊
(Not that G is Stoick😋, but to say it's not bad to hav a different *opinion* ).
Also, he didn't just go around walking on/betraying ppl. He had som honor, he just doesn't care if #1) they betray/disrespect him first, & #2) if they were a treat to him trying to help ppl.
Details on his story could've helped. I think it could've added to his purpose, his view, & the decision that both mankind & dragons are better not harming each other.😊
(Sorry this was long...)😊
I'm not saying Grimmel's right, but that he's not dumb.
No matter. A villains a villain, & despite him wanting to make "a better world" it was still "misguided passion". Still tragic, tho.
That thumbnail made me laugh so hard XD
Right?😄😄

Fun fact : the night fury actually has jet blue scales because they blend better with the night sky
I think this video was posted exactly one month ago
The light fury doesnt have spikes like the night fury does (toothless), then the fins on their tails are a lot like a whales tail fin to possibly propell themselves in the water (the creators got inspiration from a whale for him too-) so maybe the light fury is a species that mainly lives near the water or in watery climates because they have a mini sail on their back instead of spikes
(Also in the books of how to train your dragon Toothless had gills right behind his ears- maybe he still has gills? I dunno-)
0:47 I Love It!!! (Toothless Falling Down)
“Unholy offspring of lightning and death itself” My brain: So, you remember Thor Ragnarok and Hela?
Sorry I was meant to say had
Actually that is where you are wrong cause those babies are hybrids called nightlights.
They should make a part 4 and should us where the night fury have been all this time
Alteori i realy like your vids cause httyd is my best series
Personally I love this theory a lot. Although yes Dean confirm Toothless is the last of his kind I love the idea of the night furies being smart enough to not be found. I believe that this theory and other theories make great seeds for a "What if" story.
