I'm a plumber and just bought myself 3m one, I'm a bit worried that there will be difficult to use over such a long distance or it will damage and I'll need to replace the entire thing. I'll let you know how it was
A scope like this is primarily what’s used in the medical field for endoscopies/colonoscopies to check the stomach/colon. Probably why you don’t see scopes this sophisticated that often. Of course plenty of shops use them for engines but primarily it’s designed for healthcare.
Have you ever put a Bore scope down into.... a nearly empty gas tank...? I'm intrested in seeing what sediments are floating around. Obviously not inserting it into fuel. My 007 Lexus IS350 has 171,400 miles and I'm seriously considering changing the fuel filter but would like to see what's in there.
Just the picture quality alone is worth it.
right?!
porsche owners need this for bore scoring/cylinder wall wear
Great for Automotive Inspection, cars repair. Must have.
yesss

can you just imagine that threaded end pice coming loose and falling into your cylinder while you were looking for carbon deposits?
It happened! Got it with one of those claw tools lol
Great video, but what’s the name of the item?
Here's a link to it amzn.to/3WbpRqu
Can you see into the engine?
Removing a spark plug will allow you to have a clear view and access into the engine.
Does the camera have a fixed focus distance or does it have a focusing.feature?
fixed focus
Good review is it possible to submerge this in diesel fuel?
I'd venture to say nooo 🤔
Nice!

You don't need to do a bore scope if you work on the fuel pump or something. Then you can clean it out
I would not take anything that has electrical current going through it even if it's minimal into a gas tank.
@@kimoclyde Something else is there are usually siphon guards so it could be difficult taking the camera cable back out.
almsot empty will still have octane fumes please don't risk it
Most have. Awsome review
thank you!
I use mine to inspect heat exchangers on rooftop units
