- Ahoy Let’s Think! Today we are going to answer the question “Why Do We Celebrate Ramadan” Ramadan is a special time for Muslims all around the world. It's a whole month when they do something called fasting. This means they don't eat or drink anything from the time the sun comes up until it goes down. They do this because it helps them become better people and it's an important part of their religion.
Here's why Ramadan is celebrated:
Getting closer to God: Fasting during Ramadan helps Muslims feel more connected to God and learn how to be better people.
Understanding others: When Muslims don't eat or drink all day, it helps them understand how some people don't have enough food or water. This makes them want to help others more.
Spending time with family and friends: Ramadan is a time when everyone comes together to break their fast, pray, and have fun.
Becoming better: During Ramadan, Muslims think about how they can improve themselves and be better friends, family members, and neighbors.
At the end of Ramadan, there's a big celebration called Eid al-Fitr. This is a happy time when Muslims thank God for helping them through the month and enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
