some of them yes... but some are quitely dangerous. I met a dangerous yakuza before but now he changed for as a better person for his wife and children. He is really kindhearted man now.
And before I forgot, what's really happened with the Yoichi Nakamura, also known "lion of Ginza". He died of heart attack or one of he old buddies kill him? I'm asking cos I rewatched "The Twilight of Yakuza" and in the end was reported he passaway. Thank you.
Some sources say that he died from heart attack on the same year the documentary was released. Then the other source says that he disappeared, possibly, for being involved in the documentary. Don't know the answer, my friend, but will look into it!
Interesting fact: Some yakuza families were acting as a muscle for the whole organization (you, as a boss, call that clan when you need some physical violence), so these people had to constantly train. Bodyguards of the bosses are also often ex kickboxers, kyokushin karate or sumo guys, who have to work on their skills since that's their job.
