Destiny was kind of in the same state as apex when bungie and activision split up. People thought activision was the reason for everything bad (little new content, monetization, basically like in apex). After the split there was even less content but way more monetization through microtransactions and general pricing of dlcs skyrocketed.
So what i want to say is there is no hope, just let go😀🎉

Its not just EA lol respawn doesnt just do everything they say bro they have their side of the blame. There is a reason barely any original devs are still at respawn.
EA isn't the reason apex has the worst audio is gaming history. EA isn't the reason i get kicked from the party or placed outside of my party match constantly. EA isn't the reason we don't get fun, cool and creative game modes on rotation like we did in season 2/3. EA isn't the reason the matchmaking sucks. EA isn't the reason Ranked rewards aren't worth my time.

The reason why OG Fortnite works is because Fortnite ACTUALLY updates the game with every season. Fortnite adds new weapons and change the weapon pool with every season, which makes OG season very different to what the game was at that point in time. Meanwhile, if Apex does an OG season, it'll just be similar to what we already have, because Apex adds jackshit every season.
True but also fortnite adds alot of shit that no one wanted and people hate. I have zero friends left who play fortnite and most of them had 8-10k hours. They all say game is shit compared to what it was, so i don't think fortnite is as perfect as you make it.

Compared to Apex, Fortnite is perfect. By itself no but Fortnite’s formula could damn well be used in Apex but they missed out on that years ago. Apex is dead.

They have added alot and things that matter alot like evo shields etc. Yea apex doesn't have constant weekly updates like fortnite but you also need to understand that fortnite has no limits with the things they can add into the game because how their game has designed. Lets throw spider man in there or hulk smashing around etc. Other games don't have that luxury:D Most of my friends who had 10k+ hours in fortnite have quit the game a while ago and they all say game is shit and nothing like it used to be, filled with stupid updates and OP shit that no one wanted. No it wont
Even OG Apex won't fix the game. It's like putting decent wallpaper over top of a cracked and dirty wall. Only this is more like if the wallpaper was transparent because typically wallpaper will cover the flaws, but Apex is so broken, unplayable, and TRASH that even the wallpaper cam't hide the crumbling foundation.
OG Apex will still have all the cheaters, the unbalanced matchmaking, the garbage servers, all the forced wokeness and gayness, etc.
As much as I miss OG Apex and I DESPISE all the changes they made over the last 2 years (I'm sorry but this upgrade ability system we have now is so fucking stupid).
I'm done playing for good. It's not worth my mental health.

My favorite memory was playing ranked mode with my friends. Playing other people the same rank as us, that was actually rewarding
No game can be fun when there's more cheaters then legit players
9 times out of 10 I get players on my team that can't shoot or move. Yet I always end up getting lazered by prefs diamonds and cheaters
I think the game truly is dying. I have played Apex everyday since 2021, and this is the first time of lost interest since starting in playing.

the reason Fortnite OG was so successful is because the game is unrecognisable in 2024 due to the amount of updates that game has had,
compare that to Apex where all we've gotten is some new legends (that have the lowest pick rates anyway), guns and a couple of poi changes, reverting to OG apex isnt gonna change much
So if recycling content isn’t going to make u play more are u implying U don’t think the games old content was ever good? If u don’t think it was then why are u even here, and if u do think the old content was good then you would get an automatic good experience applyfied with nostalgia plus updates the main game which could also be fun. why go in with such a surface level interpretation of what the content is on the surface when u could just have fun.

I’m literally gold 3 and I ran into ttv preds and masters badges on their banner but it said they are in silver and bronze. It’s so frustrating
I've had the same struggle. I have photographic evidence of playing in bronze against pred ranked players.
Here’s 3 thing I think could save the game or help the game
1. Give wraith,bloodhound,Bangalore ,and caustic there dive trial since they don’t have one
2.Give every prestige skin trackers,pose,and banners
3.change the battle pass money
ive gotten so done with apex that i deleted it, im so tired of all of these big AAA game companies not caring about their players and only caring about their profits, its no shocker that the games that are poppin off rn are small devs and indie devs, cuz those guys understand that the game u make is dependent on ur players. nothing is stopping AAA games going back to what they were back in the early 2010's, yk back when games were actually fun (im lookin a chu BOP2)
I'll say this again, I truly don't even care about EA being money hungry. That's no surprise at all, what I can't forgive is that even with the billions of dollars they won't take the time/investment into IMPROVING the games many flaws, and that ultimately lies on Respawn themselves. Put in the work, and you will be rewarded with more players and players spending more money, everybody wins 🤷♂️
The OG aspect seems alright if you've been playing since then but I just imagined people coming back from not playing since season 2 and seeing everyone neo/tap strafing, supergliding, superjumping and just how sweaty the game is now 😂😂. They ain't gonna stay long 🤷♂️
I personally loved arenas. It was such an amazing way to practice with specific guns while not being bound to the firing range or mixtape loadouts. Plus it was super fun to do movement on
The battle pass change has confirmed its death in my mind
the thing is we won't be able to "wait and vote with our wallets" or even see about that, since the very first new battle pass _IS_ free for everyone to earn, so even everyone that doesn't want to buy it can get it. I really wish they would revert it, but with them just staying quiet it feels like they won't care and just wait it out for over a season now.
Apex OG will be fun for 10 minutes, then the nostalgia will be gone from all the cheaters joining the mode. Apex is dead
They need apex 2.0, that will save all the players they are losing right now. They need to maintain the current player base before trying to attract more people or it will be a never ending cycle of new people playing for a few days/weeks then quitting.

I’ve wanted the return of at least the OG map versions for a while, but to be honest if they truly do this it would pacify the community and the temporary satisfaction would lead to more money grabbing from the investors as soon as there’s a glimpse of player count rising
Yeah, as I said in the video, if they pair an OG event with actual positive changes/fixes and not some stupid cash grab event then it would be a good recipe for success, but it’s EA so I’m not hopeful 😂

The owners of the game need a consistent feeling of loss both financially and player count-wise if they are gonna feel enough pressure to fully listen to the players

Nobody is bored of the game , it’s genuinely the cheaters , that’s the number 1 problem , it’s not even about the content they are releasing. You can’t enjoy the game anymore or are bored of it because you genuinely go up against cheaters.
Any player base of a game that has been out for years is gonna miss the old version of the game because of the simple nature of trying out a new game and then they wonder why the game doesn’t feel as good now

We had the Genesis collection event back then with the OG maps like OG KC and WE but no one cared after a week coz the maps were horrible on their 1st version. Cant wait to see ppl complaining about wraiths instant q, getting 2 tapped by wingmans, pk n mastiffs etc.
I would prefer stable servers and less cheaters to have a better gaming experience
And remove tap-straf Neo cheaters too.

Game's been out a fair few years now, EA doesn't see it is the primo game any more, so they hike their BP and store prices or strip them of any consumer value as they don't care if it dies.

I saw the title, and I was skeptical… yet intrigued
gotta say, it's peak apex when i'm playing quads and get third partied by a squad of three ppl over 10k kills, with one having 37k on wattson and another having 11k on r99, almost winning but the remaining 3 of us get killed by their fourth teammate, a plain skin, no banner pathy at lvl 27 with the most damage (sure buddy, real legit gaming there), get like tenth with about one kill, only to drop next to a squad that includes a gibby with 70K kills (ign 'Spartan' 21st highest kill gibby)
meanwhile i'm some 3k kill octane farting around with 3 randoms like what i hadn't even won a game that session
Respawn needs to break their partnership with EA. Just bad for the community. They treat apex players like ts is madden or 2k and have completely decimated a beloved masterpiece
With the "Let's send Horizon back" arc going on right now, I can totally see this becoming a full "reset" of Apex. If time begins to fracture, we could see a temporary take-over in which it is season 0 and season 22 starts to bleed through.
So... If we are resetting Apex to season 2 (not 0...), can we reset the players too please? It's really hard to catch up for people who've been playing half the time of everyone else. I've been playing since 0 and have enjoyed finding update quirks and miss the old silly teamplay. Really though people need to be in skill-based matches to truly enjoy a game. I don't like losing, but I don't like it when I rerun a match and see that players are either bots or not nearly as experienced.
I’ve sat through apex ignoring its player base for years doing there own thing. Personally for me it’s reached a breaking point where I’m voting with my wallet and not playing or spending anything on this game until they figure this shit out.
They’d have to keep the OG LTM as a permanent game mode.

The matchmaking problem is a result of the lack of player base, the lack of player base is a result of both the cheating and the lack of little fun causal content like a game such as Fortnite has
Would really love a trios game, but having it not allow party ups, so you can enjoy randoms and not get sniped by 3 stacks all the time
Match making should be based off your KD not your rank. It would fix all the issues with skill match making.

I ended up getting major fatigue of apex and have been getting into fighting games recently and im having a blast.

Apex has a EA problem. Wish someone else was in charge. The game needs more creativity with updates events skins and more. The game needs new weapon sights we've had the same ones since day one.
Apex needs to make custom lobbies available via a code to anyone free to play, so you can get like 5 friends together and play in a map just you guys.
I think all games should have an “OG mode” or takeover I wave of nostalgia would be nice

Or, hear me out. They just fix the cheater problem and the battle pass. And, stay with me now, they never let the game reach such a state ever again. A game mode or two by themselves will NOT revive this game. OG apex would be cool for like 30 seconds. Those 30 seconds being the character select, and the jump from the drop-ship because once you’ve landed you’ll get 1 clipped by a default skin lifeline from halfway across the map
Og apex won't do anything. The fact that apex still only has a battle royal and not something similar to a creative mode is insane.

As soon as black ops 6 comes out my current squad in Apex have decided to uninstall Apex. No sense in complaining to EA, I've played on 160+ ping for the last 5 years the least they can do is improve servers but to do that they need a new engine. Black Ops will allow me 2ms ping so at least I won't be shot around corners and won't have to lose to hackers anymore :
I will continue to say it. The main reason Apex isn’t fun is the SBMM. No reason I’m dropping 1000+ damage and my teams can’t combine for 500 in 10 minutes of gameplay. But the teams I’m running into are triple stacked 5000+ kills. 4K damage. Master rank player in my Silver 3 lobby.

nothing will matter if the BP change is not reverted. there will be a massive drop of f2p players(me included), and the game will die out. There are a lot of things apex needs to fix, but that was a final nail in the coffin, so yeah, they don't change that BS = apex dead in 1 year

This is one of the most competitive games in the past five years that has an event every year for over $1 million but somehow there’s still audio issues the servers are somehow a lower tick rate than Minecraft and Roblox.
Then, all of a sudden, one day after all the problems we’ve had in the past few months, they decided they want to double the amount of the battle pass and not allow you to buy the battle pass with coins.
But no, let’s ride off the success that was Fortnite OG and not fix any of the problems so when you load up apex og it’s gonna be the same game with the same problems instead of nostalgia.

I really don’t think this is enough. I saw another comment mentioning that Fortnite adds a bunch of things every season to make the original different enough. The game has stayed the same from season to season. It needs more new things. Furthermore, maybe this is just me, but I don’t know if I’d want to play a game with a cut down roster just because that’s how it used to be. I don’t understand why they always have to replace things or take things away just to add something else. Choice is what makes a game fun.

hahah og mode not gonna do shit for me, its literally the same mechanics, weapons and legends on the current kc map with about 4 or 5 poi added back, the reason why fortnite og is so good is because you get to go back to chapter 1 with different movement mechanics, og weapons and best of all a map you havent played since 2019, i mean ffs respawn here cycling the same skins for the last 5 seasons while fortnite dropping a new one every other day and a new collab every other week, thats called passion and drive EA should learn from that. Imagine having to pay 5 whole dollars for a fucking recolor joke of a game and im over it
I uninstalled apex and start playing battlefield 1 again and It feels amazing, not going back to apex until they fix SBMM, server problem, cheaters.
