Gojira’s Atomic Breath in 1954 to 1955 has been been confirmed to be a Beam of Light, just like every other iteration of Goji’s Atomic Breath. It just appears as mist in the movies, however, it becomes more apparent that it is a Beam of Light if you watch the colorized versions of the films.
People has to undertand thoose are *1955* movies. Sppecial effects were harder to make look great back then. Hell some movies if you look close enough you see planes or anything flying has the ropes/strings attached. It is more of a tech limitation

Isn't it actually that in-universe the 1954 breath was invisible (like how radiation is), and that the only reason we can see it is that the director wanted something for the audience to see?
Best one imo is the shin Godzilla one. He looked like he was vomiting that breath, like it is incontrollable and keeps increasing in power. That scene in the movie with the music in the background was breathtaking.

Shin was like a horror movie, it had no emotions and was just some monster that kept evolving to destroy humanity like nature was trying to kill off humans. Best Godzilla if they were going for fear but the newer ones are better if you want him to be a likeable character.

Heisei Godzilla has a red beam, too, and was the first to have it, starting in 1993. He also had a purple/blue spiral beam used one time in 1991.
Godzilla Earth from the anime trilogy has an atomic breath, too, they just didn’t show it because it’s the exact same visually as the smaller version from the same anime.
And then obviously the video is only as of 2021, so since then we’ve had Godzilla Minus One, Monarch, and Godzilla x Kong.
we also have gemstone goji, who is basically canon
Not to mention Hanna-Barbera Goji's Lazer Eyes, or Godzilla Earth's Scarlet form.

@@gojiberrii1261 The director of said film made it is a sequel to a fan made film of his from a fw years ago and key word you used is "in cooperation" that doesn't mean toho sees it as canon to what they made prior. Just because they made the suitmation short films for example doesn't make those short films canon to FW or the showa era. Until we get official confirmation, toho hasn't confirmed it or denied it being canon to anything.

7:00 First Godzilla movie I watched ever was Godzilla vs Destoroyah. Absolute peak film for the Heisei era and I had that on VHS too. I remember as a kid running downstairs after dinner to my grandma's room and watching it with her before bed. Great times.

Shin Godzilla is the best iteration and incarnate of what I truly believe Godzilla should be even today. An animal going off of pure instinct and trying to survive from the thrashes that humanity keeps throwing at it. They didnt do Shin right in the video cause the movie scene was unbelievable. Shin still had several more evolutions to go through only to be frozen.
It honestly makes sense why godzilla would spew mist/vapour as he could heat up the water inside his body with his radiation and then would shoot radioactive water vapour our of his mouth

- The cyclops with the chainsaw hands is the assassin alien monster Gigan and he appears in Final Wars
- The insect is Megaguirus
- The last one is Mechagodzilla or also called Kiryu from Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla
I grew up with the oldies, but Shin Godzilla is by far my favorite.

Think of the original atomic breath as more of an actual breath instead of beam. In his original concept it was more focused on him spraying more radiation around Japan after the bomb strikes and every aspect of him being toxic.

The reaction to Godzilla Ultima from Singular point matches with how the fans recieved the character, love and hate.
Godzilla being this transdimentional singularity that makes existence collapse, is one of the most over the top concepts that couldn't be portrayed properly in a short anime like Singular point was.

@ProtogamingBlu I do too, though the only ones I admittedly have problems with are the Monsterverse, Singular Point and Earth. Mostly it's just story issues and bad writing, or just complete confusion in SP's case, but I'd don't actively hate them or anything. ... the Godzillas anyway, lol.

GMK is my favorite design, and Monsterverse is what I find the most badass because it's more expressive due to the CGI.
I still think suitmation is cool, and I think that the Showa suits were some of the goofiest ones, but I like the modern looks mostly. (Again, GMK suit is GOATED tho)
I think if I had to complain about the MV it has to do with the storyline 100%, the only "good" one was 2014 imo. But that's also due to 2014 feeling more grounded.

a quick update on Godzilla the animated series.
I'm sure you understand that Zilla in the animated series was one of the eggs that survived in movie at the end of the film.
the egg hatched and quickly attached itself to the main protagonists and become an adoptive child to the human, protecting him from other mutants and monsters.
The villians (or antagonists) of the series were these aliens that planned to dominate earth, but through hostile means. Zilla Jr was a threat and a wall to their operations, so they later retrieve a dead body that was completely identical to Zilla jr, and yes this dead body was in fact the same Zilla that died in the movie and nested in New york city, and was cybernetically modified to at first control Zilla jr reminding it that it was his original parent, and if it would fail, then Cyber Zilla would terminate Zilla Jr.
i hated that zilla got shat on. i get that it was bashed on during its release due to how it was seen as a milking product of the original franchise and later it was considered a joke by the OG godzilla producers and developers as "soulless"

but the movie itself was still pretty decent in my opinion. it held its ground and tried to throw in some continuation with the animated series which was what i loved about my childhood.
i don't need to be some grown adult to understand the science, politics and the making of the animated and movie series, but as a kid i just loved seeing every godzilla varient kicking ass man.

i understand most people cannot understand the older film limitations, but CGI didn't come about until 1958 and began more wide usage in 1972.
the actual dawn of CGI capabilities didn't start until the 1990's, and was hella expensive then. nowadays it's a crutch in movie making and has sort of removed some of the magic

@@Kaiju-bm4ts never watched the sequel, just the show and first movie, it was a good movie compared to all it's predecessors, but it's still epic, this Godzilla is literally a big ass lizard, climbing buildings, burrowing into the earth... Sure the movie didn't have as good of a script as Godzilla final wars or all out attack and also the newer legendary movies, but the actors did a hell of a job, and the writing and logic and shit, not to mention overall how you learn stuff just by watching that movie, especially as a kid lol. That's Godzilla if we actually ever have one..

@@PuffPuffPass123 Dude godzilla the series IS the sequel, g98 isn't a good movie compared to anything as it fails at the 1 thing it's meant to be. Comparing it to the showa era is a bit of a low blow as even the early showa flicks had better writing by comparison. Comparing g98 to even the heisei era which came out that same decade isn't even fair 😅, especially with the heisei era being possibly the best era out of toho's classic 3.
Godzilla in a nutshell is a big lizard across all his incarnations, plus...you don't learn anything from this movie. Sure it will was the first G film for many fans but those same fans admitted this movie lead them to who godzilla truly is in his Japanese and later American films. Plus...what male animal reproduces asexually? That's just 1 scientific fact the movie tried to make sense but still got wrong.
And in case you didn't know....kaiju sizes have ALWAYS been inconsistent, it's for dramatic effect. This has been a thing since king kong 1933. Even godzilla 2014 did it. Also...it wasn't a dinosaur and dinosaurs walk on all fours or on two legs...so...saying it never walked like a dinosaur is just a bit odd....when walking on all fours or two legs is something dinosaurs did...

Actually Godzilla 1998, it was not originally Godzilla and was intended to be a really dangerous monster from monsterverse but they named it Godzilla to catch audience
But when you read Godzilla comics, you will see godzilla will fight this same monster shown in 1998! So it was not Godzilla but was introduced as Godzilla

2. The monsterverse was established in 2015. Godzilla 98 in no way or form ISN'T connected to the MV. It's only connected to godzilla the series (and through some loopholes, gmk and FW too).
3. G98 was always intended to be godzilla, just not a good executed one.

The movie didn't take itself seriously....it's pretty obvious...the build up to godzilla's appearance was good but the movie immediately went to dumb fun and not serious territory in terms of tone immediately afterwards
