    I still remember the day my father-in-law and I were watching television, and we saw the first commercial for a Polaris RZR. We looked at each other and said, "That's cool!" Then spent the next 30 minutes talking about how this new RZR could change things. I'm grateful I've been able to watch and experience the evolution you beautifully described in this video. It's been fun, and I'm intrigued as to where it will go...now that the machines have reached almost ridiculous levels of capability and performance.

    Can't wait to see where the future of Sport UTV goes. With the suspension from the Textron Wildcat XX, the technology from Polaris RZR XP, and the power from Can-Am Maverick X3, launch control from Yamaha YXZ, and that leaves us wondering what the Honda Talon will bring to the table, and the rumored Kawasaki Sport UTV. I'm more of a Polaris fan, but I enjoy seeing the growth that the Yamaha Rhino and Polaris RZR 800 started with 10-15 years ago, to where we are now, and where we are going.

    I like both the RZR and the X-3 they both are very comfortable with plenty of leg room My only problem is that the X-3 trying to get down in it to sit is a pain, it's fine once I'm in it. I haven't yet drove it but my brother has a RZR 900XP and for a sport SXS it's great, the only thing is I've got a Commander and I've got several sets of wheels and tires for it so if I got I might would go with the original Maverick XMR

      20 years ago, I agree with you, then came the Rincon, 2nd Gen Rancher, 700CUV Big Red, and now the problem laden P1K. They are still good machines, just have issues like all the others. I have owned several, love 'em, but have cost me the most with reliability issues.

    Hey Mark! I beg to differ on the stampedes “own unique design”. Is it just me, or does the design not resemble the Kawasaki teryx? Seems like a copycat to me.. Regardless great review, and all in all I think this machine has great potential and plenty of bang for your buck!
    Cheers,
    Brad

    The Dynamix is underrated.. If you like to push it hard through trails it's the best machine going.. We have XX too but if you can get the Dynamix near 21k it's a much better deal..

  • @twowheelsshy
    @twowheelsshy 6 лет назад

    I have to disagree that the consumer benefits from the on-going back and forth between the manufacturers to make these vehicles better. Some of us aren't looking for an 80 MPH UTV, but this segment inevitably trickles to the utility side which increases the price. These things are unbelievably expensive already whether sport or utility oriented and even a used one in good condition costs more than two new trucks that I've owned in my life. I'd like to see some real base model side by sides or some true depreciation after some use. Everyone knows that you buy these machines to play hard, so why do they retain their value after 2 or 3 years of abuse?

      Apologies, just considering the quality/safety(fire) issues Polaris has, it's a real factor for long term ownership. I do love your show. The videography is absolutely stunning, the production is top level, relevant, and well executed. Mark, Luke, and AJ are true professionals. Cheers

    Textron really needs to step up their fit and finish game. Looked at Polaris, CanAm and Textron side by side at the same dealer, light years of difference, the Textron would better compete with the inexpensive Chinese clones in the fit and finish realm. Hoping Textron picks it up, it appears they want to push the envelope, just need to pick up their game to be in the game.

  • @TheBandit7613
    @TheBandit7613 6 лет назад

    We have 2 X3's and a new Maverick Sport 1000R aaannnnd, an XP1000 and our close friend has the new Dynamax (or whatever) Polaris.
    Side by side, no comparison. Can Am has stepped it up. Compare the trailing arm on a Can Am and Polaris side by side. The Polaris is cheap spot welded sheet metal, the Can Am is automotive quality. The interiors of the Can Am are beautifully finished and make the Polaris look downright cheap.
    And let's not even get into the fires, recalls and other Polaris problems.
    Polaris obviously must not test new models before releasing them into production. They might need to slow down the release of new models and actually engineer them and then test the designs first. I wonder how much they spend settling lawsuits from kids who have burned to death?
    I watch the channel and don't comment much. This particular video made me kinda sick.
    Maybe start labeling certain videos ad advertising vs. reality.

      Just look back through their videos, you're sadly mistaken, plenty of very positive Can Am videos and shoot outs. This is one video about how the RZR started the sport utv revolution. Polaris has an almost 50% market share for a reason. And please try spell check, kind of lacks credibility. Just saying.

    Since when did this channel become all about polaris? Every single comparison and market analysis you make turns around polaris, there are almost WHOLE epidodes, like this one, that turns exclusively around polaris! Even while testing the textron you wouldnt shut up about polaris! You say vehicle reviews?! You guys dont to reviews anymore! All you do are polaris comparisons! I miss the old-school DT TV...for whatever its worth, im am this close to unsubbing...just my 2Cs...

      Thanks for your comment. You are a great, regular commenter and we appreciate your opinion and take what you say seriously. Keep in mind this season we've already featured Can-Am at the King of The Hammers, The Wolverine X2 and KingQuad intros, our Can-Am mud build, the Havoc, Wildcat XX, our Arctic Cat budget evaluation, racing our Outlander mudder, the ZForce 1000, Textron Stampede and the next 4 new episodes don't appear to have any Polaris products featured. We feel confident we're delivering variety to our viewers. Please be patient if one episode features more content of one brand than you'd prefer. Remember, someone else is loving it and hating when we show your brand. Thanks again for commenting and for your ongoing support.

      Dirt Trax Television yeah i know and i dont mean to be a dick...its just that imo this constant polaris comparisons and phrases like the ever-repeating "can this product go up against the market leader, highly innovator polaris?!" are not fair. Sometimes (most times) this brand is rated as the absolute market standard, which imo is simply not true. Yeah they sell the most, but anything above and beyond that is highly subjective when rated as "leader" or "innovator". Sometimes it feels like youre just giving that old school "media influenced push" for this brand. And again, i have absolutely NOTHING against polaris! Ive ridden and liked many of them. Just make sure when you review a different brand that you stick to it! Quit the ever ongoing polaris "sideline" comparisons....i know sometimes i might come across as a hater on my comments, but its just that ive been watching this channel god knows how long, and ive watched first hand this market biased evolution here. That all being said, i love you guys and the channel..

    • @dirttraxtv
      @dirttraxtv  6 лет назад +1

      Again, we appreciate your comments. We will usually always compare Polaris to something for a few reasons. We have the vehicles on hand to do the comparison, they are the market leader in sales and they have a vehicle in every category. Our opinions aren't based on brochure reading. We're jumping from one vehicle to the next and putting on mega mileage to make sure our opinion is factual. However, they are just opinions - factual, knowledgeable and experience-based, but just opinions. Thanks for your continued support and please keep commenting good or bad. We have thick skin and can take it.
