- The Class A division of spectator drags at Motor Mayhem where cars must be street legal and are allowed mods, antique plates, dealer plates, and 100 treadwear or higher street legal tires.
Once it get's down to the final two cars, they do a coin flip to determine who gets the inside advantage in the finals.

Jumped the start AND pulled a PIT maneuver on a car who was beating him! How do you allow this? Not sure what worse: the despicable driver who does this or the track “officials” who let him keep his “win”!

"Beating" even though the guy in the Cutlass audibly let out several times behind the Audi, fell back 40 feet and caught back up again in 3 seconds. He was clearly faster. WAY faster. Don't bring your $2,500 garbage Audi to a spectator drag thinking you are gonna smash everyone just cuz you have a worthless older Audi, and then block a clearly faster car from passing. This is what happens at spectator drags.

@@ramsay4804 I don't disagree that every time you bring a car out there you run the risk of someone crashing into it, but the crash it should be unintentional in nature, and not what we saw in this video. There's usually great races here, evidenced by all of the rest of the races from that night, but that one was really sour, and the organization should have DQ'd him

@Andromuda Galaxy I can see mistakes such as seeing people loose control, we see that in this with the Cadillac in this and if he was next to someone they could have collided by accident, but that cutlass driver intentionally rammed the other car which I'd say is only fine if both people knew each other and were putting on a show.

The concern, at least to me, is not who won. I'd be more concerned about things like retaliation, fights in the lot after the races, or just competitive people always looking to toe the line on rules for any advantage they can get

The guy in the Cutlass didn't deserve to win, rubbing is racing up to a certain point, but taking someone out because you are losing isn't racing, this isn't Days of Thunder and he isn't Russ Wheeler...
There's no way in hell they should have let the Cutlass move on with a move like that. If someone in one of the regular weekly classes had done that they would have gotten a black flag and it should be treated the same in spectator drags.

Audi had him cleared so the lane choice was his, the cutlass should've went high if the Audi was too slow in turn 1. But instead he tries to go low on a lane that isn't there. And then just absolutely drills him in Turn 3 and continues to push him after he's already got him sideways, there is absolutely no justification for what the Cutlass did.
And let's not forget him driving down on the Audi coming out of Turn 4
@@jayallen408 FYI, the exit of turn 2 is the slickest part of the track. With the exception of the guys running drag radials, we all have to lift right there or lose control. It wasn't a "brake check" at all, we all lift right there and the guy in the Cutlass is well aware of that. If you watch the finals from last October you will see that the blue RX-7 did the exact same thing to me. I could have gotten into him but I moved to the outside lane, drove around him and beat him to the line. With those drag radials the guy in the Cutlass could have easily done the same thing, he chose not to. If the guy on the outside clears you going into the turn and comes down in front of you, it's no longer your lane. It's his. Audi ran a perfectly clean race until turn 4 and by then I don't blame him for being pissed, I would have been too.

The audi handled that REALLY well. We wouldn't make it out of turn 1 again with either car in tact if it was me. Can't pass me on the outside, take the grass to the inside, or end up with a totaled car.

Wow, you got this one up quick! This was my most disappointing event yet, my engine stated skipping just before we went onto the track. I've been wanting a shot at that Monte for a long time but the car wasn't up for it when we finally got the opportunity. Sucks too, pretty sure it would have been a fun race. I believe I've found the problem and hope to have it fixed in time for October. As always, thank you for being there and recording these races! 👍

@@LGSRIDE most of us are out there to have fun with our street cars. We enjoy competing with each other but we also respect each other and the fact that we are out there in cars that we care about. Unfortunately, some guys have no respect. These guys are the reason our car counts are so low. I know a lot of people who would love to come out and do this but they aren't willing to risk a few thousand dollars damage to their cars trying to win $150 and a plastic trophy. Incidental contact is bound to happen from time to time but when someone deliberately and unnecessarily slams into another car, it takes all the fun out of it.

Nothing happened. Cutlass drove straight onto his trailer, strapped the car down and left.
If I was the one in the audi I would of waited by his trailer and knock 1 teeth out his mouth I under stand is a spectator's race and anything could happen but that was on purpose..

@@juniorthird7952 What I see is the Audi takes the low line going into one. He does drift up a little bit coming onto the backstretch and came back down to hold his position. The fact is that there was never a full lane below the Audi. The Cutlass tried to force his way onto the bottom lane rubbing fenders and causing damage while also running up onto the curb because there wasn't a lane there. He should have tried to go around the outside. Instead, he got pissed because he felt he got blocked and wrecked the other guy. The guy overreacted and he is lucky there wasn't any retaliation. It would be fun to buy a POS car no one cared about with the hopes of getting into a race with him again. Then it would be ON! The white car would exist no more.

Audi was holding his line he got the jump and took the inside edge. Cutlass was a D bag move. If he can't take the outside for a clean overtake then no need to race.

I used to race the IS (improved street) class at the BEAC Track meets every other Saturday, and some of the competitors were also part of the tech crew. They would build a full race car for open class and then tech it for street or IS class. Then when people beat them with class rules cars, they would get real mad and try to wreck some of the other cars because they couldn't drive their cars to a win even with more power and better handling. I saw quite a few limited edition and custom vehicles get severely damaged by their pride and ego's.
We got our car (Escort GT) claimed for beating their AE86 wide body track car.
We had 800 into it including the price of the car (100 auction) bolt ons w/adjustable cam gear, Rally cam, sticky tires, gutted, driver mod! 😁
But it's all good, we had 3 Escort GTs and so we built another one for even less from spare parts from the first one. Then we joined SCCA and began our real racing!
So I guess crappy people can help others to become better by the way their poor decisions affect others.
Cutlass needs to be given a couple warnings then kicked off if damage continues.

The race with Audi and white cutlass everyone commenting about, go watch it again that Audi driver cocked blocked that cutlass and actually swerved not mistaken braked a little that made the cutlass go off the track a tad , then the cutlass driver said fck it u wanna go , he steamed roll his azz , If you block someone trying to pass and you don't have enough power to out run them , don't be surprised if they decide to go through thru you , hats off to the cutlass on showing what can happen on a real track , looks like the driver of the white cutlass has racing experience
@ giant , I think pussies need to stay off this track especially guys that are bringing their every day cars to race , that Audi showed that he wanted to play a certain game and that white cutlass showed him how that game is played , their is a video of that white cutlass and a bad ass blue chevy racing that same track and the gave it hell sliding all over the place with out wrecking one another , the reason why ? Is they both could drive and were not some little premaddona out there with their finger up their ass

@ giant , those guys know what they are getting into they sign a waiver before the race , they understand the risk they are taking, reminds me of people who play the victim when things don't go their way , it's definitely not a picnic they are going too , why do you think the white cutlass was able to continue, duh ! That Audi did curve in on that cutlass , because he didn't want him to pass on the inside , and didn't have the run to pull off

In all fairness that Audi didn’t hesitate to jump in front of him taking his lane and slowing down...cutlass should have went on the outside or waited for an opening but that’s racing sometimes

Ive been doing Spectator Drags at multiple Tracks across the Northeast since 2006. From winning events, to leaving with a wrecked car. If you're gonna chop someone then get on it!!! (its an unwritten rule thats actually mentioned in most drivers meetings) Having said that, I dont agree with the conract in turn 3 . Seeing how the Audi saved it, the guy can drive, and the car cleary has the power. Why The Audi wanted to run his mouth and confront him on the infield is beyong me. He should've just Run his CAR and would never need to run his MOUTH!!!
@@brianmakein1561 The contact at turn 3 is what everyone is pissed about. That Cutlass clearly had the grip and power to go around the outside and instead intentionally hit and wrecked him.

6:04 Honestly I cant really tell with this camera angle but it looks like the Audi came down on the Cutlass, and if they did that's a stupid move. I see why the Cutlass would dump them into 3 after that and I can't say I wouldn't do the same. Shame to see either car get bent up though.
There was no room on the inside on first turn. Monte tried to drop to the inside and the audi did as well. Not sure that means the audi cut him off or just took the same line. At turn 3 there was room on the inside, but the monte punted the audi instead of taking the inside and making it stick.

This is when AWD causes more problems than it solves. Great launch but no power to stay ahead, all it did was get him in front of a car that was going to steamroll it, and did.
