@ falcon lady Hello, this year I want to try heating cables in bows for haris hawk. In winter it is -5 ° C to -17 ° C, with goshawks it is not a problem. I don't want to heat the entire Mews. The raptors must burn fat stores in winter and pathogenic microbes do not multiply in mews.

I would like to use the power of 10 W and the length of 3.5 meters. Wrap it under the braid bow sitting. Temperature control is a problem. If the outside temperature is below the set temperature, the thermostat switches on. But if the predator does not shut down on the bow, because the outside temperature is still low, but the predator's legs are warm, this is the place for the greatest heat loss. First I have to find out if the predator burns his legs during a very long sitting. Therefore, the power of only 10 W. The temperature on the bow even when insulated feathers must not rise above 15 ° C. If it works, then I can use it with predators. I'm sure I'll let you know.

No worries! We actually don't want any loops or holes in the flying jesses, anything besides a smooth piece can get caught in trees which could possibly be fatal. That's why we switch out the mews jesses for the flying jesses when Mohave goes out for free flying. We have an episode coming soon in which Mohave gets dressed, which will detail the process! :) -leah

Hi, you need medium-sized predators like haris
6 mm eyelets, for large predators like golden eagls 10 mm.
