Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.
Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer.

At the beginning of the year I read after US and UK ,,,Turkey was 3rd, now this news of no Summer shows.

I really like this series but it’s moving extremely slow, I think it should be shown on weekdays instead of weekends. Dareya makes me sick the money is for her husband health and debts she’s too greedy
Mukkadar, Beyzan and Deerya all make me sick, just wish the Hancer would stand up/speak up more for herself. Would be nice to see Cihan get a little jealous by sending a man to pursue Hancer

1.Honestly. I am not sure what to make of this trailer.
2.Derya in drama land are clearly destined to be bad people. I can't remember whether I saw a 'Derya' in Kan cicekleri or Esaret but she was a horrible person there too.
Anyway enough of that, I hope Hancer will finally tell Cihan about her brother's illness. And finally clear that misunderstanding at the very least

Why is it always 1 step forward and 10 steps backwards..? 😵💫 these characters are not complex or multidimensional enough for the attempted mental gymnastics… so many nuances have been overlooked, which could have added to the complexities of Cihan and Hancer, or at least given them realistic depth…
Things that don’t add up: Cihan not running a full background on Hancer’s family, Hancer not doing a internet search on Cihan to find out he’s married, Hancer not looking for employment or further education-why would she ask Cihan for money upfront, instead of asking him for even an entry level job, since she is supposedly a proud woman..? Why is Derya overly entitled to Hancer’s life with Cihan..? As a woman, why does Mukadder think it is acceptable to take her granddaughter away from her own daughter..?
None of this is adding up…

You're looking at Hancer as a woman of the world. She's not! She is very sheltered by Cemil and has stayed very close to him since they were young children and their mother left them. Remember, Derya had left Cemil when Gelin first started. So Hancer was Cemil's housekeeper, so to speak. Derya only came back after Cemil's terminal diagnosis AND she found out about the money Hancer was getting from Cihan. Because of her sheltered life, Hancer wasn't prepared to encounter people like Cihan and his mother, who were cold and mean! She didn't have the wherewithal to investigate Cihan when she agreed to be his wife in exchange for giving him a son. Cemil's illness forced her to agree to their proposal and she asked for the money to pay Cemil's debts and medical bills. Cihan still doesn't know WHY she wanted the money OR that she gave it to Derya to handle the bills!!! That was like letting the fox into the hen house! NOW, Derya's apparently wanting even more money!!!! Derya isn't any better than Mukadder to me!!! 😡
@@melanieevans8860 Hancer’s naivety and sheltering is something I struggle to find as dominant characteristics… sure they exist, but Hancer also has a clear sense of self-preservation, endurance, and resilience.
Even if the only benefit to marrying Cihan was to ensure her brother was financially taken care of, she ultimately accepted the fact that she became a commodity to Cihan. And because she accepted the money in exchange for her body, there is a monetary value that she had a hand in placing on herself… I’m not sure the insecurities she has, and the mistrust she and Cihan both have won’t lead them to a “real” consummation anytime soon…
And let’s be honest, she didn’t need all of that money up front from Cihan, because look what ended up happening to some of the money once Derya found it… If Hancer had asked Cihan for a job and a salary advance, at least she wouldn’t have lost so much of her pride and independence.
Also why can't she take the money and settle all the debts. Why give it to Darya? Clearly they have not been managing well. This is logic. Why potray Hancer so naive and sheltered? Makes no sense at all to the extent you cannot even see between evil and goodness!

Sve glupo ! 130 ep a da se nisu maknuli od pocetka.Toliko dugo udata a nikako da sazna da je Bejza bivša žena.Nikako da pita ili ode kod doktora za brata i operaciju ,a još gluplje,da nikako ne kaže kroz razgovor sa Džihanom da je novac uzela za liječenje brata.Kada Džihan sazna da je novac uzet za liječenje a ne iz pohlepe ,e tada možemo očekivati zanimljive epizode i scene.Ja koliko vidim,nema od ove serije ništa ,2 puta sedmično po sat i ništa konkretno.
