LG makes good products but I'm surprised that the quality of the speaker. I've never heard a speaker the same size as JBL 110 be comparable. Both have good bass and highs. Both the price and light show on the JBL win hands down. The LG sound was separated and very clear. However, The 'space' between the sounds is so wide it creates a sense of emptiness. JBL has space also but not as open, the sound is more balanced.

Hi, love your reviews. I'm looking to purchase a speaker for this weekend for use outside in the garden. Costco has the xboom xl5s for £249 but i was also looking at jbl 310. Which would you recommend for clear sound and good bass for Rnb & Hip hop etc?
The 310/320 is a better speaker than the XL5s in a few ways. Mainly, volume output and bass. However, if you can pickup an XL5s for that price, and as you’re only using it for the garden, it will be more than enough. It still has impressive bass and audio quality, while still being more than loud enough I imagine.
Came here for the comparison and got a tear from the track. Kinda sums me up at the moment....
is it possible to use this LG xBoom x5ls as soundspeaker to my TV and Turntables?
As long as your tv / turntable has an aux (3.5mm) output. But it would be in mono since it only has 1 woofer and is in 1 unit%
From what i heard, it looks like lg has more boomy bass? I tested the lg rn7 in the store with a single 8 inch woofer but the bass is so boomy and has a low bass too, im really impressed with the lg and it's so loud too.
Maybe a little more boomy but because of that it doesn’t sound as deep. It’s really hard to put into words 😂
can the strobe lights on the LG be turned off while the LED still lights?

LG won it all both speaking Twitters and boss,it is well balanced,clear and listenable sound,not a jamparked JBL sound,if u raise the volume of that JBL now the twitter will go deeper than as it is now and the only thing u will be hearing is bass so is of no use. If u feel like clubbing and getting a better clear twitter and bass LG is the winner 🏆🎉❤

La jbl e bassul prea cu bubuială.Nu e pe gustul meu. Lg suna mult mai bine, are aceea claritate Na, gusturile diferă de la om la om.

Both speakers are at the same price on Amazon $250, which one do you recommend I buy?
I prefer the 110 overall. Purely due to personal preference in the sound profile. It’s got great balance and awesome bass.

If you can get it that cheap then yes of course. Go for it.

You can use them while charging yes. However the batteries are internal and cannot be removed

just came home frome testing both in person. came home with the LG. sounds more clean for me. JBL sounded more distorted and it feels like just bass from around 100m distance.

Deeper I would say the JBL. But the LG is slightly punchier.

Probably the LG, as the sound is slightly clearer and louder. Only just though
This is what makes me choose LG over JBL even though I really like the sound of JBL.
The sound of the mic is way better in the LG or maybe an incompatibility issue of my mic to JBL but either way, I still chose LG due to this.

A great comparison... The jbl is far more balanced. The LG sounds like I'm putting it through a filter....
The JBL takes the cake here from what I heard over the camera. The XL5S does sound fuller in the midrange and have more deep bass surprisingly however it has noticeably more distortion and a closed-end soundstage in comparison due the lack of stereo seperation and highs.

Surely the prices are comparable once converted to USD?
The 710 is an awesome speaker so that’s a great choice. I think people find it boring when I say JBL is the best all the time but every time I sit down and listen to music, I prefer the sound profile of a JBL speaker. It all comes down to opinion. They manage to be clear and loud but at the same time producing a lot of bass with minimal distortion at high volumes.

I like... but I THINK it's too expensive for me XDDD and absolutely :3 you have a nice personality, fun to listen to, there's no reason not to enjoy your reviews ^.\\ Yup I like to have one that's like small and portable for household stuff, taking showers and doing things in the garage and then a big one to take in the backyard for party days. :3 So far (and I have a HUGE catalog of music) I have yet to play a genre of music that doesn't sound good on the 710. That's how you know they did a smashing job on it. the EQ was genius because it is so bass heavy so having the Option to turn that bass down if needed is a necessity. I've seen Some people online say the 310 is Better than the 710... but I imagine they only say that because the 310 is easier to move and has a battery xD I prefer higher volume & power over those two things honestly. not to mention I can't really justify the wattage drop when the 310 is only $200 lower than 710... I mean $500 for 240 watts but $700 for 800 watts. pfff... the 710 is clearly a better choice xD imo
Idk o-o i've only owned a handful of speakers honestly... it's an interesting topic to me because i'm such a huge music person. I do have an Oontz Angle 3XL Ultra. I think it's the first speaker I ever bought and i've had it Forever dude... I think i've had it for like.... 6 years now? o-o or 7.. and it's still going strong. Replaced the battery in it once so far. Best portable speaker I've ever had. Never found a portable speaker that was better. Especially for 24 watts? pffff... it's pretty damn good. Best $100 I ever spent. Then I got the Bumpboxx Flare 8 Which.. wasn't a Disappointment per se... I just wanted extra tweeters and a Bit louder, that's why I went on the search and you directed me to the almighty 710.... which I love more than anything now ;.; it was either that or the Soundboks gen 3 but the 710 is literally perfect for me. also costs $300 less than a Gen 3 would've. If you haven't reviewed the Oontz speaker yet that wouldn't be too bad o-o you might even want one for yourself it is Crazy good. I even use it when I'm watching youtube videos and stuff. perfect for everything. Could even do Ion Pathfinder speakers o-o I was thinking about getting some of those at some point they look fairly nice. sorry for the book xD... >>'..
edit: Ok I'm looking up the Oontz speaker I have and I can't find any of it o-o.... I hope they didn't discontinue it that wouldn't make sense it's Such a good ass speaker.. maybe they might be about to release a new model or something :c
@@666Lachrimae666 The 710 literally doesn’t disappoint anywhere. Like you said you definitely need the option to turn the bass down for some music genres.
I’ll take a look into the Oontz Angle speaker you mentioned. I can’t see one called the 3XL. Only the 3. Looks like it isn’t as easy to get your hands on in the UK. got quite a long delivery time.
The soundboks gen3 is a great speaker but doesn’t compare to the 710 in bass or lights 😁 you made the right decision there.
Personally I use the LG XG7 for home use for PC and that works excellently.
@@HammoTechReviews Yeah I can't find it anywhere o.o it might be discontinued idk. The 3XL has two bass radiators on the side that are silver o3o. At least you have a speaker that you like :3 it's kind of hard to request things for you because what might be available here in the US might not be available for you:c
@@HammoTechReviews I think that he 710 has a major downside as having no battery that's a absolute deciding factor for me to be honest I think that's disappointing but there are leaks that a 510 with battery will come out this summer hyped for that also what do you think of teufel

Here in Germany the xl5 is 299€ and the 110 is 319€ also I think the bass is more or less equal but from LG past it will probably lose a little less bass at max volume compared to the 110
I think that is accurate in regards to losing bass at the top end. Still impressive though. Strange the pricing is that different

@@emanrov yeah a 310 for that money is a very good deal. You don’t get too many speakers with the portability and performance of the 310 so you won’t be disappointed.

Its hard to choose winner here. Jbl has clear voice but the lg has boomy bass. But i think lg will loses its bass on higher volumes because, its only have 1 woofer and jbl has 2 woofers
I think you’re spot on here.
You’ve got to decide what’s best for you basically. Depending on what genre of music you listen too and what volume you prefer.
For me the JBL takes it just because it sounds slightly clearer and I think the bass is deeper lower down. But for sheer volume and thumping the LG might just win it over

@@pixelreflectorpro it's not the same size, in between 310/710 should understand 510 is, what it's Gap and how monster it is. 710 have no battery but the bass create some earthquakes inside of house or indoors.
Ignore people saying the massive bass roll off. Totally disagree. Massive?? If massive roll off even the partybox 1000 should cannot create some earthquakes like bass in max Volume. But it is completely the opposite. What stupid people saying is they don't understand the bass was only buried of too much mids and highs. The bass is literally very powerful, but those problems stupid cannot understand peoples that won't hear the full acoustic Frequency and said the bass was lose or roll off etc etc in falls news.
Where is the massive bass roll off if you said the massive bass roll off the bass way completely missing and at max Volume should not vibrate anything indoors, even outdoors, still create some vibration in backyards.
Listning to this at my JBL 710 and the LG sounds so mutch better, Bass is mutch better and the 110 just soundet alot more messy. Cool that LG is catching up.

False, you forget the LG is narrow sounding. Partybox sounds way more convincing, even though I'm using only phone's speaker, i can tell the difference in sound.

@@jann8490 i can tell that pretty obvious the LG has more bass. Because it is 200W rms now. And don't be in your mind that wattage is nothing to do. Wattage is my based if bass is my main concern. But sound Wise the soundstage isn't great here
Sound isn't based on wattage, it's based on input sensitivity and great tunning
