That's great you use eco glitter, what is it made of (it wasn't mentioned). I live my the Atlantic so we need to be careful what we use (especially because the whales migrate nearby)

Yes, but too much additional oils and butters can make your soaps too soft. We recommend using a maximum of 1 tablespoon of extra oil or butter per pound of soap.

I believe I saw a teaser yesterday regarding a soap makers contest on TV with you, Ann-Marie, and LeeAnn Rimes as judges? Am I correct? I was watching My Lottery Dream Home lol and then there was something showing a soapers contest but as I went to look at my cable station guide to see the name of the show, I had to refresh my screen and the next thing I knew, it went back to the next episode of My Lottery Dream Home. So am I right??
if someone can help, I love Bramble Berry ideas, products and designs, but I have been feeling frustrated with this melt and pour layers. I have been watching my temperature to pour the second layer very carefully, and still separate when cutting or when using. I use the alcohol 99%, spray not to much not to little, I let the first layer hard, did not work. I let the fist Layer to form hard skin, did not work. temperature is always about 140 to 135, sometimes decide to pour little hotter, does not melt the fist layers but still not stick enough when cutting or using. if anyone had another Idea I am all ears. thank you everyone for the good comments.
If you are putting it in the fridge, don't do that. Leave in the mold overnight and don't mix different brands of soap base. Other than that, I don't understand why your soap is separating when you cut it. Hope this helps.
Hello! I made a soy wax candle and it doesn't smell when it burns, at a 370 gram glass I used 342.59 soy wax and 27.41 perfume I melted at 85 gr and I added the perfume then I poured in a glass at 60gr can you tell me where I'm wrong? Thank you very much!
Am I correct in understanding that the main reason melt and pour doesn’t swirl like cold process it’s because it sets too fast and doesn’t stay at the thick liquid stage long enough? In theory if I could keep my melt and pour soap at 125~ liquid state fora longer period of time could I swirl it like cold prices? I have a warming box that I can do my soap making in then remove the mold from the box after… it wouldn’t heat much but just keep it from setting too fast….
I usually keep the melted base on the counter in a glass bowl next to the stove (I use double boiler to melt mine) while waiting for bottom layer to harden, keeps the base warmer. Also the type of base you use might harden faster.

Please do a maker review throughout December like an advent calendar!! It'd be a fun way to see other customer and creators.
Thank you for an amazing tutorial, Anne-Marie! Can you use 70% rubbing alcohol for removing bubbles and adhering layers?
Nice Xmas gift idea! Can additives such as oils or butters be added? If so, at what measurement?
Yes, but too much additional oils and butters can make your soaps too soft. We recommend using a maximum of 1 tablespoon of extra oil or butter per pound of soap.
@@bramble-berry Perfect....thank you!!!
What is the pouring temperature for fragrance oil?
Well done.👏🏽
Why layers seperate when I cut the soap?
Hi,just wanted to ask it’s compulsory to add olive oil in cold pressed soap recipe?

this was the first soap i made. but when i made this, my layers broke apart when i cut it. i was so dissapointed. well, that was last year. do you know how to prevent that this year? i didnt use the same baces that they used... maybe that was it?
This happens to me sometimes when I take it out the soap out of the mold too early. Overnight is best because it gives the layers time to adhere
3:41 When melting the soap base you mentioned that its not to go below 135 or below for layering, is that Fahrenheit or Celsius? @brambleberry
Great question! It's Fahrenheit 💜
@@bramble-berry Thank you!
Can I put my Pyrex measuring cup in a pan on the stove in water and let it melt slowly instead of using a microwave?
You can always use a double boiler setup for melt & pour soap, but never put the melting container directly on the heat surface.
I have a question, is there such thing as too many layers?? I like lots of layers and stripes when I use MP
Is it okay to heat the pyrex in the microwave?
How do you know how much to melt so there isn't too much or too little?

Anne-Marie will be a guest judge on the soap episode of Meet Your Makers Showdown! It starts streaming on November 27 on discovery+.
Is it ok to sprayed lots of rubbing alcohol to the soap, i mean is it ok for sensitive skin to use the soap?
Yes - the alcohol evaporates from the heat of the soap.

We use 99% Isopropyl alcohol when we're making melt & pour soaps.

How to avoid the layers split? I have make layers before and it split while showing 🙄😩
I stopped doing melt and pour, however when I used to do it and I tried layers, it always detached. My layers never stuck together

I have seen people swirl melt and pour but it doesn’t look exactly like cold process or have that height at the top but it is possible
explain well..
My M&P always gets a skin and becomes thick so fast. How do i stop that from happening?
I think that’s because you’re heating it up to high.
And try stirring while it’s heating and even while it’s cooling

made these, not too hard, just very time consuming when you have to keep melting the bases each time you have to wait for the bottom layer to Harden
