On June 2024, i flew with this flight from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, most of the passengers on this flight are connecting flight since if they use the land transport it's quite inconvenient because mainland and HK checkpoint are different, so they have to clear the CIQ again in HK if they use the land one.
How long was the flight? Pretty short I know, but just how short? Were there any HK locals? I am assuming this flight is strictly for transfer passengers, so I would imagine there would hardly by any HKers on the flight? GIven the distance between HK and Guangzhou is at most, about a 100 miles, one would not take a flight just between HK and Guangzhou?
Air time is around 30 minutes because the flight has to circle around. It is a bit inconvenient for locals to go back and forth between two airports since neither of them are near the city center.

Yeah, flying definitely makes more sense in this case.
I flew this route in JAN2024. Since the crusing level is so low 15700ft. It is good for me to spot some landmark en-route.
