Might be nice as a disabled person to see a news story where disabled people are not presented simply as a policy problem for the government. No perspective of a disabled person or disability rights organisation here, no one from the medical profession. Its always just about the money

very concerning lack of empathy for very real disabilities in these comments, I wonder and sometimes fear if society is degenerating into depravity

A lot of these things are not 'disabilities', particularly behavioural disorders. Ridiculous.

    • @InfiniteCookie3-jo2bb

“Disability” can include behavioral and other mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, or conduct disorder, to the extent that it interferes with the child's ability to thrive at school.

seriously now, any even vaguely complex project involving multiple parties takes now triple the time and effort, same task would a mere 10 years ago. all these regards are now in the workforce, and thanks to DEI are given positions where they have actual responsibilities.

Behavioural issues should not be compensated. The parents should attend workshops with their spawn to learn how to parent properly. Having money for ADHD isn't helpful, just a reason for awful parents to claim for PIP to spend on tattoos, booze & fake eyelashes. Imo of course, of seeing first hand who these type of parents tend to be.
