After Thoughts about the Video: Works fantastic. The length of the stubby arm plays hugely into the force/leverage you can apply. However too long and it starts flexing and getting into the way. I settled on 3" from center of bolt to center of 1/2" socket. I just need to build a 3/8" version.

I am 60 seconds into this video, and I yelled out "Wow this is a great idea!!".
I saw the thumbnail and said the same thing.
I posted a similar "I'm 20 seconds in " and then once I posted I read yours. We all need to go weld one up
I'm 2:00 in and I was like, man I need a dog 😆
You should put a patent on that
Don't worry. Somebody else will now.
I'm sure I have seen something similar.
Snap-on sells hand impact wrenches under blue point.
I have a very similar tool to the Toledo, T+E, Laser Tools versions, I bought it pretty cheap many years ago on ebay.
2ft long 1/2inch drive.
Only real difference is the black square drive head doesn't pivot, it's fixed 90° to the handle/hinged part👍
@@philmickey7247 This style tool has been around for years, I'm sure they would've come out with their own version by now, if they haven't already🤣
You'd be the funnest neighbor on earth!
he would hate me cause id be over his house all the time lol
Nah, I would love to live near him like 20 houses away but directly beside him working on his stuff all the time no, thanks. I would love to be his friend and hang out, work on stupid stuff but not every day and all the time.
@@huninmunin1732 Yeah you gotta be a real man for that. It's like a white noise machine for men
@@ThatJerkFromCaligotta be a real man not everything is about you, I would love to run a power hammer in my garage, but I have a family....
@@huninmunin1732 I have a family as well but mine understand how a man should be I don't use soy in my coffee
I have never been disappointed by clicking on your tutorials. Great job, thank you for sharing!
Ole Uncle SixtyFive keeping up the good fight for innovation!!!
Everytime I watch your channel I learn so freaking much! This is just awesome!
Glad you enjoy it!
I simply have to get a welder! So many activities I could do from all of your ideas!
If you get one the projects never end. Sometimes stuff just breaks for fun so you can weld it...
@@sixtyfiveford
😂👍
You really do need a welder. My harbor freight welder is the best $170 I have ever spent.
You're not, really, living, until you start welding. Opens sooo many vistas for projects.
You are extremely intelligent my friend!
I’ve said it before this guy is a genius! Great video.
Man, that's one of those tools that you put in the back of the box and don't use until you need it and it saves the day...and your knuckles. Awesome work! ... about to drop my rebuilt engine/trans/tcase on the Defender. Fingers crossed it works out, haha.
That's going to be fun to have it back together.
you never cease to amaze me with your genius garage inventions!
Great tool.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
I can admit it, other people can have good ideas too, not often but it can happen
Can't count how many times I could have used that. Woodworker for 25 years but I think I could pull that off with my brother helping me weld. Which I need to learn anyway. Thanks for your time showing us some skilled work.
as always , love the heeler content :D .... this is freaking brilliant ..... i'm a millwright , and i am now realizing "why haven't i run across this idea yet" .
Love the low-key style of your videos. And always interesting.
I only saw the thumbnail and already wanted one!
Someone else here mentioned your paint can shaker video and I just remembered some things I did to augment that when I fabricated my own.
I used lids of various sizes, cut off cans with a safety can opener so there were no sharp edges. Used multiples of those to beef up the attachment to the central bolt instead of washers because the additional lids distribute the force over a larger area.
I drilled a hole in one of my overhead beams to screw it into the beam so it’s always right there overhead next to my bench.
I also use multiple sections of scrap rubber membrane roofing to wrap around various spray cans to secure them inside the shaker so I can invert it if I feel the need. I’ve found that being able to hold the can in a vertical, horizontal or inverted orientation helps to get the shaker ball inside to act upon more of the contents.
I’m currently working on other iterations of this tool utilizing smaller cans to accommodate paint pens, which also require vigorous shaking before use.
I am 20 seconds in and already planning on welding one up
That's the best idea of this century so far 🎉
Great Tool! So many times I could have used this. Years ago had a combine that had lots of bearing issues, in very hard to reach spots. This tool would have been perfect
This is brilliant. I'm going to make this, but with a threaded end so I can attach my slide hammer. That'll let me go in the opposite direction. Well done, sir. Thank you.
Sounds great!
I swear you are smarter than 99% of actual engineers. And I wouldn’t be surprised if a part of that is because you’ve had to outsmart them to fix things as well as you do. This is a genuinely genius idea!
You, sir, are a genius.
Very cool. I made one of your spray paint shakers, love it work great. Thank you
Pretty cool tool. Love your ingenuity Moe.
stop by my forge and add a different dimention to your creativity, love the way your mind works
If it loosens really tight bolts then you have created magic. As always thanks for sharing.
That is freaking genius
And all this time, i thought fine threads were stronger because of more surface area! Coler me embarrassed! Thank you, Mr 65ford!!
Great idea. Sometimes you need it and the alternative is taking a bunch of stuff off to get enough leverage. btw, your lack of gloves scares me, we don't want you to get hurt.
That’s too cool now I have to build one
Just love your ingenuity and creativity. Your dog is awesome!
This is great, have to make one myself. Thanks!
Its another tool i never knew i needed, but certainly could have many uses for it, but have the fabrication skills of a rock. I've always had to improvise and find unconventional ways to get that nut
off.
That's great I'll have to build one of those!
Excellent idea! That will be very handy to have around for sure!
Cool build!
Nice!! We had something similar at work that had interchangeable wrench ends instead of the breaker bar side to remove fan hubs. You could also use either a hammer or an air hammer to impact the other end. I think the breaker bar end makes it waaay more useful!
Love it! Gonna make one.
What an ingenious idea! It looks to work really well.
Thanks
Genius…and I second the patent
Interesting concept, good work. Thanks
Cool tool! Thanks!
I cannot wait to use some of your great ideas!!
Glad you like them!
This is gold.
Ive seen some one on a old youtube video make one before way back ,they are worth the time making one🌊👍☺
There is a tool already available (or it was years ago) I bought one it was marketed for breaking free crank bolts especially on FWD Hondas. I can’t remember who made it but I think it was Lisle or some “off” brand
Any still a great idea and I can appreciate the effort in making the tool and then video. Thank you
Private brand tools 1/2" power bar. It's still available
My heeler doesn't like to hang out in the garage with me, think she doesn't like the noise. Cool tool.
Awesome dogs with tons of personality
They are the best @@sixtyfiveford
i have a special chair ( a leather front seat our of a 2001 dodge ram ) for my heeler and a screen to shield her from welding flash .... but when things do get loud , she leaves and sits outside the shop until it is less noisy
Laser Tools Hand Impact Wrench 1/2"D 4590
Hadn't imagined it yet. I didn't know it. I didn't wanna. Now I need it. Dang it!
I found out a long time ago that frozen,or stuck bolts and nuts often came loose when hammering on the tool right where it wraps around the fastener.. Apparently the impact or shocking helped to jar it loose like an impact does.. Another great idea there Moe !
Thanks
You do come up with some great tips and idea's thats for sure. This is definitely one I could use many times.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
Great tool, good dog!
Another great idea, I built my wrench extender from you other video and love it!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
Good idea. From the thumbnail, I thought you were putting a slide hammer on the shaft, like a dent puller. Your build has the option for bigger hammers, is better.
What a cool idea.
Bought one ages ago, used to borrow open from another mechanic. Great tool, well known and available lots of places,
It does exist but not well known at all.
@@sixtyfiveford I’m from Australia so maybe more known down there. Best tool for crank bolts prior to impact guns and now they are having a comeback with how narrow the access is to a lot of bolts nowadays. I like your videos
Pretty Cool Moe ! Thanks For The Idea !
Why are these not commercially available?!!!!! Genius idea! [Sam Kinison voice] Oh..OH...OHHhh!!!!!!!! (Like another commenter said, I have got to get a welder!)
Pure Genius !!!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
Absolute Genius!
Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍👍
That's pretty awesome
They'll be one on HF shelves soon. Thanks for the upload
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
way to go! Making my life easier one video at the time! 👏👏
I've had one of these tools for about 10 years now. Mass produced. Look up Toledo power bar.
very nice . many thanks
Hey thanks
This is for when youre done asking nicely lol. Also id made a wrench extension years ago based on your video. Love that thing. I did bend mine though to give it an offset
Good stuff and Ginger was looking for a hammer handle! Bless Yall!
Nice very versatile. Love this idea
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
Great idea..wish I'd had that 40 years ago..you always do great things..that Ginger.. she's something else..take friend..see you on the next one cheers 🍺🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks
Great idea. Had a simulare idea i've been using for years, hit the end of the powerbar/ratchet with a soft face hammer or small deadblow. No sparks/metal flakes/sharp edges left on tooing/ lower noise impulse
might be usful if you are looking to design a product to incorperate something link Mastercraft Breaker Bar With Ratchet Head. It would allow you to have a fast reset from realy stuck bolts or nuts
P.S. I forgot Matt love all your inventions inspires me to keep thinking. You made another excellent invention 🔧⚒👍
You are the bomb when it comes to cool ideas and fun videos.
Have a super weekend,
tHanks for the video!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
I love that dog...
This is a great idea! I vote we call it the "slugging breaker bar" (like slugging wrenches). Also, Moe, you should contact a manufacturer and hook them up with the idea. This needs to be a tool that's available for purchase.
Great idea
Thanks I'm glad you liked it. That's a good looking red 66 you have there.
@@sixtyfiveford thanks, She’s my around town truck. It’s a 65 with a 66 grille.
Dude you need to make these and sell them absolutely brilliant i am making one myself now
Apparently it's already patented and sold mainly in Australia.
Genius.
Genius!
Definitely need to build one of these things! I have one of the indexable head ratchets from hobo freight. It didn't survive a few taps of the hammer. Ended up finding a fan clutch remover, It attaches to the air hammer with interchangeable wrenches. They have a hook on the end, Amazon $50 saved the day.

자주올께요~🥰❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Nice job👍
I have a 2ft long, 1/2inch drive version of this tool I bought on ebay many years ago, it wasn't too pricey, only difference is mine has a fixed drive at 90° where you used the pivoting style breaker bar head, so your's is actually a bit more useful for leverage when flipped out straight.
I've used mine a few times for front crank bolts, flywheel bolts and transmission bolts in tight spots and it works great.
I've been trying to think of what to make from a 2ft breaker bar handle, which I broke the head off a while ago.
This video gives me a good idea, I think I might make a 3/8 version out of it, like you mentioned👍
Love it!
Hadn't thought about thread depth as it relates to fastener strength... tucking that gem of wisdom into my hat!
In my defense, during most of my professional work a 1/4" fastener was considered to be BIG! I dealt with mostly #6, #4 and smaller.
Looks useful!
Thanks Thats a good one
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
Fantastic!
Glad you like it!
The new cordless impact gun!
Lol
great idea. Sealey vs786 and Laser 6414 are similar
That's a great idea. You are operating a tool design R&D lab.
I like it. 😮
Beware Ginger may take over this channel. Well done on the shock breaker for difficult situations.
I like it.
I love this channel. It is so practical. I think you also live in Utah.
Thanks. Yep Utah.
Cracking idea wish u were my neighbour i have sooo many thing i could use welded lol
Very cool!
Very cleverly designed wrech/breaker bar 👍.
Ginger is a really smart dog, but she didn't like the sound of your band saw.
I have that exact same tap and die set, my brother gave it to me as a Christmas present in 1980.
These older Craftsman are still some of the best taps/dies out there.
Yes you should get patent on that!
I like it. Also, it might be a good idea to offset the pin about 5 degrees. This buys +/- 5 degrees by flipping it. This could help in a really tight spot. My 0.02
Pretty cool, your brain doesn't stop does it? Good job ginger.👏
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it
