    Thank God you put this up and made my fix easier. I have a 2022 2500RL and found the same issue looking at the tires and suspension while winterizing. Main line got broke off the front tire tap connection. Wasn't sure if those connectors did a trick or were fused. You answered my question and now I can go ahead and fix. I even know how to test after I'm done. Great job and important video. Thanks for posting.

      Thank you for joining us. I have to tell you, now before I go on another trip my inspections are to another level. Just finished repacking the bearings. Checked the brakes all looked great after 21,000 miles. Probably could of packed the bearing with new grease a little earlier. However, bearings looked great! I’ll be putting out a video soon on that project. Super easy to do! Blessings, Stan

    How did you know which wires went to what? Looks like 2 green coming from hub and 2 white coming from connection point on front of trailer and then the 2 wires coming from the axle which are white and red? Any help would be great to know.

    • @OverTheHillAdventures
      @OverTheHillAdventures  Год назад +1

      Bryan, all I did was matched what was on the other axle. I also checked how the wire was cut.

    Upon inspection of the brakes on our 2500RL I found the adjuster in 2 pieces inside one of the brake drums and the spring poking out the the adjuster hole. I was able to get the parts at a local trailer shop for the repair. It pays to do the inspection. Thanks for sharing Stan.

    Thank you for showing this it is super important to take a look and see for yourself.
    We found out the hard way and we have an underbelly covering.
    We just took a short weekend trip to make sure everything is working great before our big out of state trip. On the way home we saw some smoke. Our Rv has under belly we found the wiring was hanging down swinging and rubbing on a piece of L frame and was cutting through our wires. My husband has now lowered the under belly to find the horror of wire mess hidden 😱under there and has now fixed a bunch of items. We are just passed our one year warranty mark.
    I am so glad we looked before our trip.

      Tammy, this is a great comment. This is the kind of stuff that needs to said. Unfortunately quality control went to the way side when they think it is hidden. I am going to our manufacturer tour on Monday. I love our Grand Design Imagine. I have a few choice words I want to share with them. So proud of you guys on your test adventure and fixing the problem. More of us need to do what you did then to run to the dealer for every little thing. It’s a our little home in the road. The little thing are our responsibility!! We love it❤️. Thank you for sharing. Till the next time, Stan and Rhonda

    My trailer has a metal cover under the whole frame. No way to visualize the components. I don’t really like it but it was a trailer we could afford.

    EXCELLENT VIDEO! Nobody should discount the importance of a pretrip inspection. Finding something like that or a knot on a tire can turn a small repair at home into an expensive trip ending fiasco or worse. As far as the video goes Rhonda is right! Old hats who have fixed and been willing to monkey with stuff all their life tend to assume everybody else is the same. I'm appalled sometimes how little people know about something they use regularly. So as minor as something may seem to us, someone else may benefit greatly. Keep the videos coming. I enjoy watching them and you two are definitely an inspiration to me and my wife. Also, Stan thanks for the bicycle info. I'm trying out all kinds and finding the one for my riding style. Trek seems to be the brand I'm gravitated to. Thanks for another wonderful video!

    • @OverTheHillAdventures
      @OverTheHillAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Greg, great point! Trek is a great bike. A little more expensive than Giant. Most importantly is to get started. Money we can always get back but time we can never get back. Thank you for your great message. Plus, thank you for inspiring us. Stan and Rhonda

    I'm dealing with this now. Hit a pothole and snapped my electric brakes (apparently they were attached to tight to the frame and didn't allow much play in the suspension). This video was just what I needed. Thanks!

    Hi Stan & Ronda thank you both, for these videos very good info! Another thank you because of you we bought
    A 2022 imagine 2500RL! Can’t wait to bring it home, this week . I am curious we asked about the TPMS Kit this
    Unit is “tpms ready” like yours. The dealership came back with a whopping $ price tag $400. 🙈😮
    For now we are holding off. Any suggestions? Happy trails and thank you 😊

    • @OverTheHillAdventures
      @OverTheHillAdventures  2 года назад

      Claudia, the dealer tried the same thing with us. All you you need is the TireLinc kit. Your rig is TPMS ready. Watch one of our earlier video. TPMS ready what does it even mean. I will send you the link.

      You tell your dealer to order this part for you. The part number is in the video. Should be about $140.00. Tell to call their Grand Design Rep and order it don’t take no for an answer. These dealers have not been trained because of Covid so you get to teach them like I did. Let me know how it goes. Stan

    Very poor crimps. Connectors aren't water tight when two wires are inserted. Adding hot glue will fix that.
