Thought for sure you would mention the Van Halen/Hagar just because it’s never been officially released before on vinyl. Either way great list and I my very excited about it! Thanks for all the info as you always get it!
Thank you for this show and the wonderful funny bar story. Now I am going to buy that miles album for sure 🎉❤ ps the next day of rsd I am going to try to buy it from your store..hopefully it will you will have one left by that time.
As recently at two months ago, I picked up a copy of Generation X's Valley of the Dolls and commented that it would make an excellent RSD title. But the S/T is a more likely title because of the hit, Kiss Me Deadly, which is in his current live show setlist.
Yeah, I requested the John Lennon box set and my friend that owns his Record Store told me it was 500$ and if I was sure about it before he placed the order😅
Order up on the dead 5/7/77 Mike..every spring show is peak form…the may 77 tour is widely acclaimed as their improvisational peak..in New England..every show is transcendent
I think this is a great list and the UK RSD list has great things not available on the US list. Will you be able to get UK RSD list items? Would love Maria Mckee, Missing Persons, Tears for Fears, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dusty Springfield, and Yussef Later from UK list
Angel cannot wait for you to crank up that Elvis title :)))) As for the list, nothing really excited me with this one. I just bought the Stones Mono box so I do not need Beggars Banquet, plus I have a 70's reissue of it in stereo as well. In the mail today came my new In Groove shirt bought at auction! Cheers
If they don’t like on the corner I would have left. Woulda been right there with you. My mother in law complained that I played otc for my kids in their cribs. I would play them anything I thought would stimulate their minds. Have very miles record..otc top ten…it irritated everyone then and I guess continues to this day. With ya Mike, I love that record
Really hope for a F.U.C.K. and Balance reissue. Wonder if they're AAA, but these days, less likely to be AAA. But still better than $200+ prices my local shops sell those albums for.
Every RSD it is the same story. Yes the Cure releases a picture disc of one of their iconic albums, and everyone complains. Yet every time, roughly 3-6 months later, they release a black vinyl version of that very same album. So if you don't want the PD, then have patience, the the black vinyl will soon be on its way. I personally buy both. I buy the picture for collecting, and the black vinyl for listening. This release "SHOW" and their last RSD Release "WISH" were both highly coveted by collectors, as neither have been repressed since the early 90's. For me they were the last 2 pieces to complete my collection, as I was not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on the original pressings.

Been seeing some threads that the 30th anniversary DSOTM pressing is hit or miss as far as record quality..some versions are noisy from what I've been reading..and a bunch of people are saying that the 1973 Alan Parsons Quadraphonic is outstanding and I don't believe that was included in your shootout
For us "completists", the 2023 RSD Eric Dolphy Musical Prophet not only has slightly different artwork but is cut by Kevin Gray whereas the 2018 RSD release was cut by Bernie Grundman. Shootout?
What was the filler last time? Thoughts? Yeah shooting breeze in line with strangers and getting 1 RSD title. Not for me. I enjoy RSD livestreams, but my computer does not.
@@robertwoodward9231There are thousands of artists that have saved the record industry, not just her. She has also monopolized the production away from smaller artists in years past which is unfortunate buts thats just business.
Pearl Jam’s March 5 1998 Melbourne Park show is a very famous bootleg CD. Excellent sound directly taken from the soundboard. Btw, as a big Pearl Jam collector, I have that "Give away" CD. I paid 10 years ago 500$ for it.
There's honestly quite a lot I'm going for this year, more than I have before! I'm in the UK so our list is slightly, so the one I'm most excited to get is the soundtrack to the Mr Benn cartoons. Absolutely love the show so I was thrilled the music was being released for the first time
Don't shoot me I'm only a piano player was not Elton John's second album do some research buddy 🤔 and once again for me you are killing my love for vinyl your it's all about the money for you, all about the hype, all about the color of the vinyl 😝 Damm!!!!
Improve your listening skills. I said it’s a 2 LP deluxe set. Similar to his self titled album….. his second album that was released on a previous RSD. Putz.
@@TheInGroove oh yeah I guess you somewhat said it, but it was confusing and yes you still proved my point about you ruining vinyl records for people like myself !!!! Yep over-inflated high prices on vinyl are killing it for a lot of people, but as long as people keep spending the money for it won't stop, but eventually it will!!!! Can't wait for it 😃
@@frederickfranchi6408 ‘I guess you somewhat said it’ haha you don’t even have the balls to admit when you’re wrong. Nut-job of the week award goes to….
As a former bartender, I have to say that playing avant garde jazz (or other obscure music) on a jukebox is a real dick move (and blocking other songs already in the cue is an even bigger dick move--you're lucky you didn't get a fat lip, I've seen fights break out over this; remember alcohol is involved here). Yeah, it's your money, but you're not in your listening room at home. You have to be considerate of the other people at the bar. That said, I'm not saying you have to play Billy Joel, the Eagles, or Journey every time. There are plenty of great songs that haven't been played to death on classic rock radio (Motown, disco, and classic R & B also go over well with the bar crowd). It's important to read the room. If other people are playing contemporary country (not my favorite genre) or Lynyrd Skynyrd, they might not be in the mood to hear a Miles Davis album in full. The idea is for everyone to have fun, not just a few snickering record nerds sitting in the corner.

Definitely no fomo this year..but thanks for taking me through it🔥
Assuming you have listened to Chet in mono and stereo, which one do you enjoy more?
You didn’t mention it but glad to see Scott Weilands 12 Bar Blues getting pressed on vinyl. Something different for a change.

On the Corner on repeat!
Don’t forget the Violent Femmes, the best acoustic punk album ever!
It’s a picture disc.
Not only a pic disc but you can get a black vinyl Craft Recordings pressing at any record store...
Quantity for most of these releases went down? Could only mean one thing: prices will go up (even further of course but ya'll knew this)
Is it true that the 50th 45 has a withdrawn version by EMI ? Supposedly with Andy White on drums instead of Ringo. "Love Me Do" R-4949.

They re-issued that a few years ago for Record Store Day - I got a copy :)
