Hi guys, hope you're all well today. Thanks for joining me here again ❤️
I'm working on a lovely 20" (50cm) round canvas today.
Welcome to our Dragonfly Collaboration! I've partnered with some of my close pouring buddies to create some dragonfly inspired art pieces!
Queen of the bloom herself Shelee Art, Lisa (Messy) Marvin, Mitch (Rain & Pours) and myself and we've created some awesome artworks for you to view!
Of course, we can't create super shimmery iridescent dragonflies without using This Little Piggy pigments!
We have all dipped into the same colour pool to create our pieces, using the interference pigments and the following #TLP colours:
Mermaid
Lagoon
Ore
Lemon Sorbet
Sapphire
Enchantment
We could also add any other TLP's we wanted plus any tube paints.

Pillow/base: British Paints (brand name) Low Sheen wall paint in White.
Colours I also used:
TLP Comet
TLP Mosh
TLP Nightfall
TLP Twilight (mixed with a couple of drops of Matisse Fluid in Magenta)
TLP Lagoon (mixed with a blob of Pebeo Iridescent Green Blue)
TLP Parakeet
TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can onlybe puchased from www.fluid-art.co
Jo Sonja Colony Blue (tube paint)
My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish.

Cell Activators (CA) :
Atelier Mars Black
Amsterdam Titanium White
Both were mixed wit ONLY Australian Floetrol, nothing else added. I never measure, I mix until it leaves a light trace on the top when drizzled. If I had to guess I would say "approximately" 1 part paint to 2 - 2.5 parts of the Floetrol.

My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too.
My metal spatulas are artist palette knives, they can be purchased from fluid-art.co/ or independent art stores.

Niki, I love this piece, it is jaw dropping. 😍 The garden you painted, for me, brings to mind the song "Our House" by Graham Nash. This painting is so very very beautiful. I love the colors and how you scooped under the top layer and pulled it out. Oh so gorgeous.

Hi Niki, I am a new sub and really like your methods. I haven’t ever done any pours before but would love to try. Is there a list of materials somewhere that you recommend for a newbie? I do have a bunch of tube acrylic paints can I use those so I can try to see if this is something I want to invest in? Thanks 🙏🏽
Hi there! 😀💙 Yes if you click on the video title it takes you to the description box and all the info, paints etc. There is also a link to my paint mixing video. Yes you can use tube paints, I use both those and pigments, they both have to be mixed with a pouring medium which you'll see in the mixing video

Hi Trish, honestly Fluidartco make by far the best pigments I have ever used! They are a very generous company who send samples out to quite a lot of artists. They also send out samples to random customers who have an account with them, whenever they have new colour releases. They don't have any discount cides though as they're a fairly new small company.
