  • This is my review of the 50W Gweike Cloud CO2 Laser engraving and cutting machine. It is the most powerful laser I own and the first to be able to cut clear acrylics. It's a fully contained machine and is compatible with Lightburn! Check it out!

    Hi Ryan, appreciate all your reviews...so thank you. I've seen that you have an early production xTool P2 unit...what are your early impressions compared to the Gweike Pro? I was pretty sold on ordering the Gweike Pro RF but the xTool P2 looks really good too 🤔

    Sounds like you got a good one. Mine arrived dead and I spent 8+ hours each day for over a week to get mine setup correctly. I almost threw my hands up and returned the machine for a refund. Thanks for all of the really good information!

    this was a really good review..thanks. I have a 10w tool...love it...but thinking i'd like something a little more plug & play (since Im not light burn proficient). I've been looking at Makeblock laser box rotary & the Gweike. so this review was really helpful.

    Great review on this machine, I just received mine and will set it up like you did. I have watched EVERY video on this machine and you covered everything!!! From LightBurn needs a different version to the switches to the bar in the back to close the micro switch. The one question I have is on the focal lengths, do you measure from the top of the material to the bottom of the lens or to a different point??? Again Great Video and yes they sent me the wrong machine and support sent me the correct one immediately I made it very good after sales support again if you could answer of how to measure the material again thank you

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Год назад +1

      I just measure the thickness of the material and then use the chart in the instructions on their website. You can find it in the user manual.

    This was a really great review. Is the honeycomb steel or aluminum? I would like to use magnets to hold flexible materials.

      I already had to store the machine for a move but I want to say that it was aluminum but don't quote me.

    Hello, how are you? Congratulations on your channel. A query regarding the machine, in your opinion is it feasible to work with it in a department? My office is a part of my apartment, but I don't know if it will be feasible to use it without the neighbors being bothered by the noise.

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Год назад

      Hello and thanks! It's certainly not the quietest machine in the world so if annoying your neighbors is a problem then it might not be great. Might sounds like a vacuum is on but you might be surprised by how little your neighbors can hear through the walls as long as they are not too thin.

    Pauses at 0:06 just to say.. Rock on for being one of the FEW to pronounce the brand name correctly. :) I'm waiting for mine to arrive and have been cringing as other creators butcher the name. Unpauses... :)

    Great video. What is the max thickness of material it can engrave via the y-axis with honeycomb bed in the machine?

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Год назад +1

      It can engrave on up on an object up to 17mm thick with the honeycomb in place.

    So if we don't buy the air filter there is no air assist? Unless we buy our own air pump? Is it easy to attach the air pump? Thank you

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Год назад +1

      Yea. It is super easy to attach your own air pump. It’s just a 6mm tube that plugs into the back. You can simply hook up a fish air pump to achieve the same result.

    • @tooldad6852
      @tooldad6852 Год назад

      They all come with the air filter and air assist box (as seen on this video). If you buy a package that has their new home filter unit, then that adds a bigger air filter.

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Год назад

      @@tooldad6852 I think you are correct, I thought the basic didn't have it but I guess that wouldn't make sense since you wouldn't have an air assist. I still would rather bypass it as it is pretty loud stifles the suction power of the external air blower in my opinion.

    I need to cut .5mm stainless steel, can this machine do that?

    • @richardtepas4832
      @richardtepas4832 Год назад

      CO2 wil not cut (stainless) steel, you might try a fiber laser for that

    I have a Gweike Cloud Laser, bought about 8 months ago. I have burned a lot of products and use only Light Burn because the included software and their Cloud software does not work. Calibrating the camera will be frustrating and lengthy. The place where they fail is service, if you need parts you have to find a 3rd party in the country you live. They will not take orders for parts. My X axis stepper belt broke, I have been trying for 5 months to order one. Sales does not want to deal with it and support cannot order parts, so they push the issue to sales, and nothing happens.

    CAUTION: DO NOT purchase the Gweike Cloud with camera if you intend to use it with Lightburn. Setting up the camera with Lightburn is virtually impossible, let alone aligning it. No one tells you all this, but as a victim I will make a video and let everyone know the problem with camera alignment. DO NOT BUY, you are wasting your money. the support only knows how to repeat the same phrase: Do the alignment procedure again...And this would be a "professional" laser company"????!!!! They are all very helpful, but the solution is not to be found. We have been banging our heads for 3 days, NOTHING,one blames the other. Even if lightburn has problems with the camera,or alignment,you are not justified. You should say that it is not easy or impossible to configure the camera on lightburn,and not sell it as compatible. You should have programmed an algorithm,a configuration file,to allow it to be used with lightburn.Now there will be those who will say: I configuarta it...BRAVO!!! But those who do the reviews are not aware of this problem??? Of course they are,but they are making money out of it.Shame on you,T UTTI,a machine that costs 3000.00 Euri not compatible with Lightburn but only with that cloud dump,always if it worksGod bless you.

      I'm sorry that you had an issue with the setup of the camera in Lightburn but I did not. The steps that you need to do to calibrate the camera in Lightburn are the same as the steps I've had to follow for other machines when connecting to Lightburn. There is no money making conspiracy here as I often point out the shortcomings of products I review as I also did with this review but the camera calibration was not one of them.
