  • Опубликовано: 16 окт 2024
  • Part 1 of 3 planned episodes.
    We’re transforming this garden from something pretty plain into something special.
    The levels are all over the place, we’re levelling off and creating raised a seating area and retaining wall where the ground has been lowered.
    In this video we’re using Marshall’s Symphony - Urban in Clay 800x800’s
    We’ve painted the fences using Cuprinol Shades, in Natural Stone.
    Part 2 we will be laying the main patio & cladding the walls, also cedar screening going up in the corner.

    • @Brockstonepavingpros
      @Brockstonepavingpros  3 года назад +1

      Don’t get me wrong a concrete base is superior, but definitely not needed as long as you have 100mm of well compacted Type 1 and lay on a 30mm bed of 5/1 mix.

      Backs well used to it mate. I look after myself and know what positions to go in to keep a neutral spine.
      I don’t rate the Grabos mate, not for me 👍so instances but the run of the mill stuff are easy. I grew up laying 3x2s so these are tiny 😂👍

    What’s the difference between building or sharp sand for mix?

    • @Brockstonepavingpros
      @Brockstonepavingpros  3 года назад +1

      Building sand is for bricklaying, it’s a lot softer and more give in it. Sharp or grit sand has a course texture in it, more for paving, block paving, concreting

    Great job as always. Quick question, when you mitre cut the edges of the porcelain slabs does it make it susceptible to breaking if someone stands on it?

    • @Brockstonepavingpros

      No difference to having a square edge on a porcelain flag mate.
      We bond them when fitting & grout.
      Never had an issue 👍
