FAQ:
Q: Can I send you a deck to check out?
A: Only patrons can send me decks and expect a reply, because I get too many of these requests to manage. Consider joining the discord (links above) and posting your decks in the #decks channel for community feedback.
Q: Why didn’t you play this certain card I would play?
A: Because I don’t think it is as good as every other card in the deck.
Q: Why did you make that play at time stamp XX:XX?
A: I usually talk through my plays, so watch again and see if I mention it (I often do, sometimes during the turn after the play to keep the video moving). If I don’t mention it at all, I may have missed it. I miss plays several times a day, and so do other players.
Q: How can I support the channel?
A: Watching the videos IS supporting the channel. There are many options above if you have extra money and would like to help more. I appreciate it, I have a lot of bills and life stuff to manage, but it is not required. Take care of yourself first, watch the videos, then give other financial support if you really want to.
Q: Will you play janky deck xyz?
A: My mission is to show people decks that they can play often, win games with, and feel successful with. I don’t enjoy decks that strive to achieve an interaction but rarely win (aka, janky decks). There are many successful jank players on RUclips, and you should check out their channels. I am competitive, I like winning, and I like helping others win and feel successful. That is why you won’t see janky combo decks on the channel very often.
Q: Do you show all your games, or do you edit out your losses?
A: I don’t show all my games. The video is usually the best moments of between one and three hours of recording. I remove games for a number of reasons, both wins and losses. Some games are slow, some aren’t competitive because of lands, some are the same matchup over and over. More losses get cut out than wins because winning is more fun for me, which makes for better content for most viewers. It can be disappointing for those who want to see me lose (yes, people watch just to see me lose, I see you!).
Q: If you edit out some of your losses, how do I know if a deck is good and worth crafting?
A: If you watch the entire video, I always give my honest opinion about the deck at the end. As always, you are welcome to draw your own conclusions. My goal is to show off a variety of decks that can get a player with skill and conviction into Mythic, and I want them to have fun doing it. I almost never show a video of a deck that I don’t believe in, and if I don’t like a deck after playing it, I guarantee you will know about it if you watch the whole video and listen to what I have to say.

The first mono red player was surgical with his plays.
That was a legitimately excellent game.
I wish more mono red players played as precise as that person. Using first strike and double strike to their full advantage requires experience.

I have played against mono red players a lot, and yet, even if they don't know what they're doing, doing miss plays and so... They still win. And oh yeah, that make me absolutely nervous.
I never thought I would see the day that CGB said good game to a mono red player
The control mage in me hates it but that really was a good game from a worthy opponent
My guess is that person plays more than just mono red
Likely using mono-red to get into mythic for rankings and then starts playing more complex decks once they reach a more controlled area of the metagame, too many super weird random brews in lower ranks

That first game was FANTASTIC
I absolutely love this deck. I played it in a couple of SCG Qualifiers last weekend. Went 4-2 in one and 5-1 in another. So much fun. I had Casket instead of Borrower, and had 3 of a couple of the cards in place of a few Negates since at the same Ultimatum was the overwhelming deck choice. And it was Bo3 so little different. I think your combination of cards/numbers is right for Bo1 though. Makes a ton of sense to me. And the feeling you get when you resolve an x=3+ Niko with Archon on the field is just magic.

Snowed in this weekend and my partner and I got to Winchester draft with my Kaldheim draft box. Got a Niko and showcase Thor's Hammer! Also pulled a Redaine from an extra pack and a GORGEOUS foil fullart pathway. Local post office couldn't deliver my collector box due to our steps being frozen over...

You know what else synergizes with the shard enchantments? All That Glitters. If you make a stack on shards, suddenly glitters is +10/+10 with the other enchantments. Make a 1/1 shark at the end of their turn, slapp a Glitters or two on it on your turn and sneak in for 20.
I've had a lot of fun with my Niko Aris Brawl deck. My favorite thing has been putting opponents in the Voracious Greatshark lock

Yup, been playing an Archon Niko list since start of Kaldheim and it’s very fun. One game I was able to cast like 22 Pegasi from a Niko. That was great. 💪

I have officially given up on all formats of magic except Commander but for the daily grind I shall watch CGB do his thing and be the one in best of one, love the channel CGB!
Only thing I'd consider changing on this deck are the Alrund's Epiphanys. Maybe for some Glass Caskets or Charming Princes (or Negates, just in case you stumble across other Control). I tried Epiphany, but really didn't like it.

In the last match, why did the Heliod jump onto the battlefield as a creature in the very last moment of the match, after the opponent got killed?
It's just a thing that happens when the game ends. The game just forgets about its ability to not be a creature.
