"Why not?" you query, feeling somewhat more uncertain. The man-beast stands at their full height, now towering above you. You can just see those aren't branches on their head, but a rack of antlers. "Things lurk in the dark, things a torch won't scare away. Go back home, I will make certain nothing preys on you until you leave the forest," they reply, dropping to all fours and gently pushing you with their antlers. "I'm not scared," you insist. Maybe that's a lie. "How brave you are is irrelevant. The things in the dark don't care if you're afraid or not," they explain. You sigh, your shoulders dropping. "Can I at least take a photo with you? So the people back home can know I'm not just crazy?" you request, already opening the camera app. The creature pauses. "I don't think that's a good idea. If they know I exist, I'll be hunted down and you'll be cast to the side once more, I've seen it time and time again." they reason. "Now let's get moving, the things in the dark know you're here," "So am I supposed to forget about you?" you ask, jogging to catch up as they begin to pace up the path. "Of course not, memories are precious," they reply. "But if ever you need to talk to someone who will listen, come down the forest path to the cave by the lake and call for Allimus. Just remember not to come at night," And with that, a POV has turned into a whole short drabble. Nonetheless, I hope you all enjoyed this if you read this far.
