Four years back when I gave birth to my son, the food was not nice at KKH. Recently I got admitted due to high fever during pregnancy, the food was surprisingly good. It tasted well and not as bland as before. I'm glad they actually added a pinch of salt at least. They also provided additional salt and pepper sachet which I did not use because the food tasted fine. Four years back, I had to put in the additional salt and pepper they provided. Now I don't have to anymore which is so much better tbh.
Great editing skills! This hospital kitchen has more passionate staff than the kitchen in the hospital I used to work at.
When the staff give birthday cake special to patient , that touched my heart and made me cry a bit. I know how that feels in hospital and if the food is not good or staff r not nice. It's horrible feeling. I wish every hospital can learn from this.

Have you seen what they serve in our hospitals ? It's a far cry from what is being served in Singapore. I really hope whoever is in charge with meal preparation sees this video. They literally cater for more and beyond, who gets a birthday cake in a hospital ?!!!! But we have to take it into consideration that this hospital might be a private one and therefore can afford to push out meals like in the video
hi! this is not a private hospital :) this is a government-based hospital! :) just to let you know!
In Malaysia, we can get that kind of menu when we're hospitalise in private hospital. They will treat us like gold, asking what menu we prefer for today and they also give some advices for us on the suitable menu.
Malaysia government hospital patient food quality is improving...I hospitalized in 2003 due to accident...ai think of that again...the food makes me a bit depressed (I am not depressed due to injuries oh dear) morning half cup of milo with 2 slices of white bread with a very little amout of fruit jam...lunch & dinner hawker food even better than patients food ah...but for the past few years(my parents hospitalized just a few days la) I found out government hospital patients food is improving...I can finish all the 4 meals by myself(of course my parents allow me to do so la they dont have appetite mah)

if ur spouse or family members is the one who help you to decide the menu I will suggest you prayed hard so they will ordered the food according to your food preferences not according to your sickness or injuries

As a staff at ttsh, i have to admit i hate going up during the lunch time. CAUSE THE SMELL IS SO DAMN GOOD!!

empty cart means either patients family members found out the food is delicious or the patient eat together with their family members (that means the patients is healthy enough to be discharged)

I was attached to a geriatric ward once. One day the meal was satay fried rice. All the ah kongs and atuks said sedap, ho jiak, but all the ah mas and neneks said bo ho jiak.

That is interesting. But yeah, eating those congee/blended food sure is unappetizing if you have been given the same menu for more than a month. Either blended pumpkin or spinach..

I hope we have same hospital meals. Here in the Philippines, you have to spend money for food separately due to unwanted taste. Instead of buying medicine, we are going to use the money for food. We don't even know if the food we're going to eat is clean because before you receive the food, it was been to anywhere where patients with contagious disease. It doesn't have any cover.
