I bought the carbon fibre version. Looks fantastic! My NC is a daily driver, so I found at night every car lit up my interior and blinded me. The blue tint fixed that. I also bought Zooms side mirrors. I did notice that your mirror bracket is different from mine. The one I have has a rubber stabiliser Which sit against the windscreen to reduce vibration. My best mod and people from Zoom are great. Highly recommended.
@@ColoredinLight I watched it many times, but it seems some of the homelink (UK) mirrors aren't the same as the US ones, we don't have the garage and compass function for example 😅 I did get one, but I think I might have blown the dimming function trying to figure out which wire does what 😂 Great videos though bud, always a pleasure to watch, especially the Miata stuff 👍
So I’m half way through this video and I have no idea why I should get this mirror over an OEM mirror. Little preview might’ve been nice other than that I like it I like the video. I appreciate you taking the time to do it maybe do a preview next time thanks.
@ekw555 I thought about doing that, at that point I think you'd just be better off with a small remote garage door opener? It's just a simple signal but no reason to rip apart your mirror
@@ColoredinLight I forget if we only have 2 remotes, or if we had 3 & one went missing. but there are 3 cars (well, 2 cars & a truck), so the Miata uses the Homelink. I was mostly joking about taking apart the factory mirror, though it *is* exactly the kind of pointlessly overly complicated project I like to start, but never finish, lol.
I bought a used mirror from a Toyota rav4 that has the same mounting and auto dimming. Just run some ignition power wire from the fuse box and hide it in the A pillar. Wasn't all that complicated tbh.
@@ColoredinLight I totally agree, all those buttons are a bit out of place in a miata. Luckily this home link stuff isn't really a thing here in germany. So I just have a single button to disable the dimming if necessary. A bit more bulky but not a huge deal. Definitely worth it imo with all the SUVs blinding me from behind without it.
I want to oppisite for my NC. Want the review to disappear! As thin and unobtrusive as possible to block your front view. I still have the GT 2012 Review Mirrior with electronic OEM. I turn it 180' and almost tucked under the windshield framing.

Did you buy off eBay? How much did you pay
I got, auto dimming, 1 button in my EU NC3. No garage home-link buttons. With modern cars behind you, auto dimming is a must for me.
Just wondering how you wired it up, got one myself but the wiring was completely different 😅 also, which Mazda did you get your auto dimming one from?
@Kennykeenan I've got a video installing the home link mirror

Idk what you mean, I like it. Wider angle. Blue tint. That's the difference. Mods are subjective and up to each person whether they want it or not.
Need to search your past videos. Do you have a Dash Cam? Mine is 6 years old, nice but would like to upgrade to something nicer.
I've legit never thought of modding mirrors
Everything can be modified!
now I want a carbon fiber one.
but I would not be able to get into my garage w/o the homelink
The carbon fiber one is amazing
@@ColoredinLight I begint to wonder - could I cannibalize the homelink mirror and mount the homelink opener elsewhere?

I have a whole video on installing my old home link. This mirror is just way cooler

Which arm bracket did u get? G01 or G03 ? Because the murukami vs donnelly is confusing in japanese. TIA
Whatever came with it is the one I used. Not sure which model exactly.

Are you going to be selling the OEM mirror? Mine is delaminating and not trying to spend 100 bucks on a new one
Nope. I bought the OEM for 35 bucks. Not too hard to find a decent one.
Damn guess I have to keep looking can’t find them for under 100 same year as well
Is it the Monaco 203 or 240?
It's the 240!
weird looking mirror Lol.....but looks good!!
But why is it shaped all weird like that? That would bother me to no end!
🤷♀️
