The yellow portion of the yarn is a part that you should omit, its end purposefully marks the very point where you start knitting. If you do the same with the second sock (you'll find the other yellow portion inside the ball) your socks are going to be perfectly matchy-matchy. That is why they are called pair-fect... ., happy knitting :).
Hahhaa! Thank you so much for explaining! Wish I had read the label before being shocked about it :DD
Your Twigs sweater is the pretties of all the Twigs I’ve seen on ravelry! Good job!
Hahah aww stop!!! But also thank you so much ;__; My poor little, slightly neglected twigs :'DD
i just found your channel, and i just yelled out “SHE’S SO CUTE,” for 47 mins straight. can’t wait to follow along with your next videos!
HAHAHA!! OH NO IM BLUSHING!! Thank you for liking my goofy ramblings! Means the world to me ☺❤
I love the Regia Pairfect. They wear great.
So I hear! I am pretty new to sock and have made only 2 pairs for myself so far, both have Regia in them and seem very durable, one pair being worn in my boots! :DD
the dark green cardigan with checkered sleeves is sooo beautiful! I dream of owning a piece like that D: your work is gorgeous!
Awwww!! That's so sweet to hear! I did too, and I wish I had calculated the sleeves a bit more so they would not be too long on me :'))
I'm watching through all your knit videos today since I'm doing some slow picture book 'rendering' work and I'm glad I am because I'm really enjoying it! Started at the one where you showed the jumpers you knit in 2022 and the years before that (which were all amazing BTW) 🌿 Next up~ the cosy Christmas sock knitting! I love podcast-y videos ike this, they keep me company 😂💌☺️
Awww!! Thats so heartwarming to hear because I do the exact same thing! It feels like hanging out with a friend via video chat and I am happy I can be that someone for somebody
@@ghostpuff it does!! I'm not very chatty (except to friends or on paper hahah) so I enjoy listening to other people talk expecially about things they enjoy :) have a lovely day! X
I like the baby blanket, so cute 😊
Hehe thank you! Hope the baby likes it too :DD
Hi Mona! how are you? Love your projects! Wish you luck to finish all them! Could you talk in a video about how you use ravelry? I think I don't know how to use, or Could you recommend some videos to learn how to use it? Have a nice day, week and holiday! Love to watch you during my knitting time haha 🥰
Hello Rosa! Thank you so much for the sweet words! I am not sure what you mean on "how I use ravelry"? Like how I create a project for my log, or how I search up patterns?
If the sock yarn you have from Regia is called ""Pairfect " that yellow color is not part of the knitting yarn ... It's a marker to show you where to start and you'll come to it again exactly in the middle of skein ... look inside the ball band for instructions:)) Arne & Carlos are usually associated with Regia Pairfect .. Enjoy your newfound sock love ❤️
Hehe thank you so much! Lots of people mentioned and I was blown away! very cool concept and I cant wait to knit all the socks
Give 2.5 mm needles another go ;) It actually goes quicker than on bigger needles, simply because there is less hand movement involved. So it just flies by and does not hurt your hands. I knit all my sweaters on 3mm and smaller and notice that when I try to knit something on 4mm, it takes too long, because I have to move my hands and fingers around a lot more for every stitch (i knit continental with all fingers resting on the knitting).
I also knit the Twigs on 3mm by taking the colorwork charts and disregarding the pattern completely :D Yours looks beautiful!
I just might! There is so much colorwork that needs doing :D And thank you! I just need a little extra mojo to finish that one sleeve and enjoy the sweater through winter!
oh, i also live in Germany :D Just found your podcast
@@nadiarogo4511 Ey! Wave at the west side, I will wave back at you :DD
@@ghostpuff Wave from... probably close by!! (I'm in the far west too) :D
@@nadiarogo4511 Oh wow!! Close by you say? I am near the border with the NL, close to Nijmegen! :))
Hello Mona! Did you knit the sock toe with a 9” inch circular needle? I don’t have a magic loop and I wonder if it’s necessary to have for the toes 🥲
Hey there Brisa! I knit almost all of the sock with the 9" circulars yes, and when I have too few stitches and it becomes tight I switch to DPNs, BUT it's absolutely not necessary. Back in the day, knitting socks was done only on DPNs so they are the core of knitting socks and are absolutely enough to get your sock complete! I am just very slow and fiddly with them and prefer the 9'' circular needle.
This yellow marks the moment you need to start knitting a second sock so they would be the same. You don’t need actually use it in your socks, I think
How smart is that! And here I thought they wanted me to use a "pop of color" in my christmas socks :DD Thank you for mentioning! I will probably still use the yellow in another project, leave no yarn behind :)
😌🧶
That Arne and Carlos with the yellow… you don’t knit that. It’s a visual guide to show you where to stop for 2nd sock if you want 2 exactly matching socks. All the info and explanation is on the inside of the ball band. 😀
Hahha thank you so much!! Makes all the sense and IT ACTUALLY says that on the packaging ... and here I am just freaking out about it :DD
