Usually they have a grease zerk that you have to remove and the spring will automatically pull the track together and then you install the track and then install the grease zerk and then pump some grease into the zerk to get tension on the track , and you will need to get the correct tension by using a straight edge on the part of track that is sagging while the track is off the ground , once you have the correct sag off the straight edge you can lower the machine and drive off , every piece of equipment is supposed to have a service and onwers manual located somewhere on the equipment at all times , and you can find the procedure to do this and the correct tension requirements, it’s like air pressure in your truck tires , they need to be checked and correct at all times and the tracks stretch so someone will need to check and service them regularly, especially when they get muddy.
