- 3-17-2024. Fun race. Race strategy, no stalls no falls. Thats was a success but had a few close calls that I thought she would hit the dirt. Saved it! Super fast in some sections which is always fun, but super rooty and slippery in others.

Real dirt in Florida! Son tried a chest mount this month and that was his issue, sitting pretty good standing too low. Not sure what can be done on that. Why you pick 125 over 250? Maybe we'll go to one up here in MO next weekend, see if rain holds off.
Yeah the chest mount is something else. And it would smack the bar pad from time to time. I choose the 125 mainly for the fun factor but I do notice its more forgiving towards the end when I'm all wore out. Of course the 250 has the torque that allows me to chug 3rd gear in the woods and will flat out pull in the wide open stuff. I might use the 250 on the next one now that I'm thinking about it lol
Helluva ride, you had a couple great saves during race. That pit stop took me back to the 80s desert racing with the exception I never had to dodge trees. I wonder if a couple teeth lower on the rear would give you a quicker lower to mid range on the twisties? you ran a great race, thanks for the video and some memory recall. "PIN IT TO WIN IT" !! 🏜👍

This is tight track good race man alot of people watching this race my bike giving me more problems yesterday the top of head near spark plug is leaking very tiny bit of black stuff i ordered new head on ebay an my water pump shot leaking out little hole i tried changing carbs to my new one carb bike running ok then just started running bad so i put my old carb on still runs bad it start up but u give it throttle it goes up for1 sec then dies so im takeing it to my mechanic today i think it reeds or power valves i have new water pump kit an new boosie clutch cover for him to install so il have him check everything thses bikes are weird bro i was getting little mad yesterday working on it all weekend i don't think the head with tiny tiny hole makes difference it has good compression
Hello. Most likely the black stuff on top of the head is come from the spark plug area. If the crush washer on the spark plug is not sealing good they they spooge around the spark plug. The running issue does sound like a carb or reed issue
@@UpAllNight91 I wanna give you update on my bike yesterday.I changed the crank seal and the water pump seal since I had parts in my room an putting back water pump cover I got the screws mix up an Crack the case cover on water pump the screw to long there different size I should have not been rushing I was tired from work so I ordered new case cover I'm try jb weld it today till get new cover in few days I'm learning but it's like I'm breaking stuff along the way that case new 170 on ebay will jb weld hold if I take case off an put it on inside and out just little Crack in it I sprayed water in it it's leaking

@@UpAllNight91 I know man I have bad luck I hope this works I'm pretty sure my crank seal was bad water pump seal was toast it had Crack an looked bad so I just used jb weld for now other than that I'm learning so much clutch plates looked good I want say u really got pay attention to what u do an take off one mistake is all it takes I'm get this bike running I get my apex head Tom an new reeds Tom an I ordered new case cover I'm spending alot of cash an my dad helping me too an my mechanic helping me
I want give u update I took off yesterday I took my bike to my mechanic we worked on it all day we were having trouble getting case on I have little c clip an washer that on water pump I had it on the governor so he fix that he is smart then case still wouldn't go on so the new water pump gear was bigger than old one an wouldn't fit in inside motor so we used my old one an we got it back together then it wouldn't shift so we took clutch bassket off the shifter lever mechanism came off my mechanic new why he fix that so I got bike home I got it running it started loosing power then all sudden it cleared up now its good he thinks fluid might be in the crank but dude all day we worked on bike together I have to pay him something today get paid he knows how muck I like bike awesome guy so it was crank seal that or water pump seal make it run bad

LoL, I dont dont. Dont you guys have Miami MX? There are a few FTR races down closer to that area if I remember correctly.
Yeah MI MX is there, but just want more like woods and trail, MX is not my thing, but love to watch. It's like 1.5hrs with no traffic. Rode 80's as a kid where ever we could, We would chip in for a beater and fix/share it. Then moved into MTB and DH. Don't want to pedal anymore and finally could afford to get a bike at 50. Loving it tho. Your vids are great to watch and there so much info. Wish we had YT back then. LOL! Better than a shop manual from the library and a bus ride to the dealership, the only place to get parts back then. Had to skip school to ride and work on it, then hide the bike from my parents. At this point I just want to go somewhere to have fun and not be in anyones way, preferably in natural setting. TMI ! We all have different stories but share the same love of riding, combined with love of mechanics.Keep em coming!@@UpAllNight91
@@kenitsanoutragecandia3939 Couldn't agree more. And for sure wish we had youtube many years ago. Surely would have helped me lol. Back in the day I was lucky enough to be friends with a local shop and could walk into the back shop and ask questions. Them guys helped me a lot, showed me so much. Lots of the little tips and tricks I share are from them guys. As youtubers typically always wanna show you how to do the job with the best of tools that most people don't own, these guys showed me how to get it done with what I had on hand and it went well. As I was kinda broke and couldn't afford all these tool and surely couldn't afford to pay a shop. I owe them a lot of thanks and haven't forgotten. Hope your having a great weekend and getting some riding in!

Oh yeah, I went between two small trees and both bush guards hit it at the same time. I was like woh, dont want to do that again next lap. I'm using the go pro quick app. Are you using the app to pull the video from the go pro or removing the SD chip from the go pro?

Yea I use the app to pull the video off my camera then use the app to mash them together but I can never do more then 1 hr on quit time, it goes black screen after 1 hour but can still hear the audio . 🤔
I watched the whole video some sections were hard to hear what you were saying but u had that 125 singinggg
@@Factory928ACDude! I was like dam when I took that easy route and seen 4 or 5 guys passed me. I just forgot what was on the hard route but once I came around the corner and seen it was nothing, and seen I was getting passed by 4 poeple I didnt take that easy route again. On one of the other split sections, where the hard route has you jump over a creek and then come around and ride through the creek. During practice it was ok, but on the first lap of the race it got a little tough and too risky. Didnt want to go down in the creek and loose a bunch of time so after doing it the first lap I opted the easy route the next 2 laps. And interesting enough I would often pass the guy in front of me that took the hard route there because it was getting tore up. Hmm thats weird about your go pro. I have notice they can be glitchy. I had to pull the battery on mine and put it back in to get it to work again after the race.

Thanks! I used the MX34's. was running 9psi, thats what I use on the track on 125's but with all them roots I probably should have ran a little more. That being said I luckily did pinch a tube lol.
@UpAllNight91 Can you tell a a difference between the mx34 and mx33. I've always used mx33's on most of my bikes. And mx53....and at81's @ the front.

LoL Thanks!. Hmm, I like them both honestly. MX is fun for the adrenaline junkie in me to be able to lay it all down as hard as I can and hare scrambles are fun for the dirt bike rider in me who just like to ride and put in good seat time. And also being out in the county, love that about it.
