+caballeroPL A lot of technology we use today has come from military war-time applications such as Ultrasound which emerged from the British Navy to be used as a tool to locate German U-boats in WWI, pressurized cabins, radio navigation, the jet engine, nuclear power etc. A lot of technology that is originally developed for military requirements eventually makes it way into non-military applications.
Lenin Vladimir Internet was a DARPA project to create a communications network that could still work after multiple nuclear strikes. So it was arguably created by the cold war.

You guys are doing an awesome job. I just wanted to tell you that um this is amazing! Our soliders and veterans sacrificed their bodies, MINDS, families, freetime, and so much more so that all of us are able to enjoy the freedoms our Great Country provides us. Our wounded should be getting the top of the line in prosthetics, biotics, medical treatment, medications, and mental health treatment available. We all owe them that. My grandfather Jack B. told me war stories because he was the true Captain America. Even at 80+ years old he informed me that the mental trauma our soldiers endure from war, because war is Hell, still at times affected him and so he used his artistic skills and began painting on canvas. Grandpa Jack said painting is great therapy for PTSD and other mental health issues that is caused by killing and trying not to be killed.
Good evening to all the team that contributed to the completion of this work. My son has a case of amputation of his right hand and left foot. Please help him to start this life. He is 12 years old, and he is my eldest son who lost his hand and leg from the remnants of the war in Syria.
I won't return to active service after losing a leg, even with a bionic leg. We may see military that a loss of limb still means military service. It should be voluntary re-enlistment
I'm a Double amputated man .I really need something like this but I was never in the service. I'm just happy 😊 that some good women and men ...are getting this.
Great innovation and invention! Hopefully they can make it a reality where improvements on this within 5 years can make you feel that your PL is real 😊
This would be perfect for me. The only other one I've seen that would be any good for me costs about £100k (roughly $126k in USD) which is way outside any costs that I could ever afford. Saying that, for all I know, that could be what this one costs now, I've just noticed this video is about ten years old now. Such a shame. I hate not being able to go out for walks like I used to. I'm not even 50 yet but feel like i am about 90 nowadays. With something like this I could get out, get proper exercise and get some way back to how I used to be. Well done to the creators of this and others like it. Hopefully they will become more available and more affordable soon.
Matthew 11:5 KJV The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
It is better to lose a leg than to lose an arm, because your hands are too precious. The opposable thumb is the reason modern humans exist. You can’t do paperwork without them
I think soon enough yes But it still has to allow cooling to ve effecient But a light carbon or plastic mech cover should make it look better and not be too heavy to wear
All jokes aside, Please tell me Rehab Institute, respectfully, When will this be on the market ? I have tried the Cleg, I fell back and almost knocked my brain out. Really I need to know. 2-4 years ?? can you be more exact ?

Wow, imagine if humanity spent their resources on things like this instead of constantly dumping money into killing one another.
well we will probably have implants designed to kill each other
The worst part is we make the greatest leaps thanks to war
Right?? Fully agree!!
The government is investing $8 million? That's not enough. They should be investing $8 billion!!
+masscashstacks 800 billions at least!!!
I wish you lost both legs then I'll watch on your clever sentensions about NASA and USA government.
Idk i feel like 10 million would be good tho
It's a bit low
50 to 60 mil should do for a year@@kudojay1840
Where do you think that money come from? 🙄
Makes you think what we could achieve if we hadn't put so much effort into fighting each other but instead focusing on research.

+caballeroPL Then there would be far less people with disabilities. So what would be the incenstive to invest in this?
Lenin Vladimir I meant research in general not prosthetics and disabilities.

@@GenZedsMother I’m sorry to hear that. I think it’s hard for enterprises especially startups to enter this market since FDA is in the way.

How can my wife volunteer for this? She had her leg amputated, above the knee, last year. This would bring her so much mobility and independence.
