      Eugenio Negro The last 5 1/2 albums from Scott have all gone up in perceived quality over the years. I’d say Tilt through BB are 10s, now that I’ve let them settle in. Remarkable.

      8 years ago I listened to 2 of the tracks and nothing else, I just could not begin to get into it lol. Revisted it about a year ago and now I love it as well. RIP Scott

      It all clicked for me with Tilt. Easily one of my all time favorite records. I still have yet to spend as much time with the Drift, Soused and Bish Bosch, for which I’m so thankful, as i can only see my appreciation deepening immeasurably with time.

    Thank you so much for this. Revealing to hear Scott's views on various subjects, especially his famous voice. I think he is very much a poet. He has been emphasising the importance and fundamental role of his lyrics for a very long time, and builds his creations from that.

    7:45 onwards is an amazing insight into "SDSS14+13B" - all those sinister Roman numerals throughout the song are phone numbers scrawled on a Roman toilet wall. What a wonderful, thoughtful interview this is. I love how Walker says he's not trying to be difficult with his music!

    As pop singer he was best i think him and Mersybeats were two best voices. But i see he was artist tryen to do art. Fellini in pop. But emotion as singer on as Walker Brothers. His song True love Never Dies. I miss guy. Allways look young.

      I think it's just unusual phrasing, as someone might say "looked at". It's clear from his subsequent comment about collage that he knows what TWL is.

    Pretty bummed out about Radiohead & Tame Impala, corny rich kid rock. Still, Scott is the man. Would love to see him collaborate with Michael Gira.

    • @nathanpyle9231

      Tordah90 Scott Walker and Michael Gira would be so dark and depressing it would cause mass depression and suicides across the world...still I'd buy it

      Me too! :D

    • @alexandernikevich9744
      @alexandernikevich9744 8 лет назад +5

      Tordah90 Why are radiohead and tame impala "corny rich kid rock"? I don't understand that characterization. I understand TI has become a "hipster" favorite with their last albums slightly more poppy leanings, and radiohead has had that indie darling status for years now, but they've both got some wonderful experimental music that's not accessible or "hip" at all. Have you ever listened to their albums with an open mind to the merits of the art, not considering the hype, but just the art? Just curious, as I find that characterization bizarre.
      At any rate, I agree on the Gira suggestion! I imagine that would be overwhelming to say the least. Cheers.

    • @theonlyantony
      @theonlyantony 8 лет назад

      Radiohead, by now, sounds very American and dated. But there's something fresh in Tame Impala.

    I don't know what I expected Walker to sound like; but I'm always shocked by how NORMAL he sounds. He sounds like the older guy at the grocery store who is enthusiastically telling you how great the blackberries are this season.
