Fly Tying: X Caddis

The X Caddis was developed by Craig Mathews from West Yellowstone. It was developed for fishing such rivers as the Madison, the Yellowstone, and the Firehole.
Turns out it works pretty much anywhere and matching the colors of the dubbing and the shuck to your local waters can turn this fantastic fly into a trout slayer. This particular color scheme has worked great for me but experiment and find out what works best on your waters.
Materials I used to tie this fly:
Hook: Dia-Riki 305 #16
Shuck/Tail: Micro Zelon Mayfly Brown
Dubbing: Zelon Dubbing March Brown
Wing: X caddis Deer hair
Thread: Danville 70 Denier flymaster plus

Hook: 4x long streamer size 10
Bead: 6/0 Bead Treasures Glass Bead
Thread: Danville 70 Dennier Flymaster Plus
Dubbing:Black Rabbit/Red Ice Dub
