Hey Cheule, you've been absolutely killing it lately! This is a niche hobby of ours, but your videos, as far as I'm concerned, are the best hobbyist flashlight resource on youtube. Your 101 videos are fantastic viewing. The fact that you made the vid about your experiences with the MOFF switch, just at the moment the tech started to reach consumers, says to me that your channel is indispensable. Whilst I'm a filthy Olight fan (so you should obviously take what I say with a massive pinch of salt), you've really aided my enjoyment and knowledge of flashlights. As long as you keep enjoying what you're doing, I hope you keep doing it. Sincerely, Chris UK
Was going back and forth as to whether to buy this one or the Acebeam X50. But now seeing it up close the way you are presenting it I’ve made my decision and just literally ordered it two minutes ago. Basically it was about looks and while I own a lot of Acebeam flashlights including the X 70, that white color just absolutely does it for me. Also ordered the Manker striker because of your videos. Hope Manker appreciates you!
That's a gorgeous finish... I kinda suspect the SFT40 of this would be a TON of fun to play around with - like a D4SV2 W2 on steroids. Since you'd be getting the extra throw, the difference in floody output would matter even less. I'd be very curious what that would look like next to the X50... Great stuff as always -Cheule-!

I got the one that has the batteries built into it for some reason I can't get it to work. Can you please talk about trouble shooting the one that is with the batteries built into it I paid about $400 for this and I'm very frustrated. Vaso had bad luck with dealing with companies from China. When I saw you hit the button four times and it unlocked it that solve my question. Thanks a lot buddy your video has been more helpful than any of the other ones I have seen.
Cheule, where did you purchase the manker. I am only finding places outside of the US to order. Fastech is recommended by 1lumen but the price is much cheaper and I am concerned about getting a genuine light. Thanks for the help.
Cheule, did you take measurements of the Amp draw on the top 3 outputs? I assume the max output would be over 30 amps since it calls for a 35 amp cell, but what about the 20k, 10k, 5k outputs? Thanks again, loved your video. I picked one up and it is a great light. The highest output light I own. I purchased the black XHP70.2 model without the battery pack. I purchased some 40t's to run in it and it was a big step up over my previously most powerful light, the Noctigon Meteor at 7450 lumens.
@@cheule My main interest is to see if I can use the 50s Samsungs I bought as backup batteries, but not use the full 41000 output as the 50s is only rated at 25 amps continuous, but has a higher MAH rating than the 40t's.
Thanks for the video. Is it right that the fan is only controlled by the button? Will the fan not turn on automatically if needed? Will the light turn it self off before overheating?
Hey, I've been looking at this for a while, wanna get the sft40 version, I've seen a video on RUclips that showed the MK38 with a smooth reflector. Any idea on how to get one with a smooth reflector? Can't find it on their website
@@cheule okay so a few days forward, i got a response and they said you can just add a note in the order details when ordering the light, they have both reflector types available. I was glad to hear that but to be honest they could put that on their website, its a nice level of customization that i havent seen before and it really makes the light a bit more appealing
I responded to your other comment, I would go with the new AceBeam X75. It can provide 20,000 lumens for 30 minutes, and 8,000 lumens for 2 hours (going off memory).
@@cheule I tested the mk38 sft in the room at 10,000 lumens and set the timer. It lasted 18 minutes, then went down to 5,000 lumens and lasted for 30 minutes, and the batteries died. Total 48 minutes battery life. It's not as shown in the company's 1h:50m chart
AceBeam metal work and anodization is top notch! But I will tell you this, if I hold a Hank Machine Works light, it makes AceBeam look cheap. And Sofirn lights make Manker look amazing. So there is definitely a range here. And I find the Manker 38 very similar to the AceBeam X50. But I do give the edge to the X50.

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop this message. Kind words of encouragement are really what fuels me. Really, it means a lot.

I hope so too, so far I don’t have any reviewer deals with them. Perhaps they’ll start!

The end cap with the poles... it's called being "keyed"... mechanically disallowing wrong assembly. Many connectors/cables are keyed. Same idea.
Great review of the Manker. What pocket clip are you using on the D4v2?

I will try to do this for you if I can figure out a way to do the balancing act of holding it all.

I think you have it right… fully manual.
The white looks great.
I'm just worried that it will get dirty quickly.
Would it be easy to clean, when it's dirty?
Thus far, water and/or IPA has cleaned any smudges. But, I can definitely say that black is a better choice if you don’t want to baby it.
What 21700 do you recommend for the manker, and what charger do you use?
I run Molicel P42A. I use this charger: ruclips.net/video/Ea7lWORLWJw/видео.html

What are the sst20s on that d4v2? 5000K?
That thing rocks so hard for its size, daaamn.
SST-20 4000K which is a great CCT. Stay away from the 5000K, it’s quite green.
@@cheule Great to know! how would the sst-20 4000k compare with the XPL-hi's 4000k?
This D4 thing is a monster, damn... i need one haha

Need to change nickname to FansOfCheule!!!
The only fail I see with this light is the lack of USB charging.
They offer USB charging with the battery pack version.
Please don't compare it with the ace beam the ace beam quality is so much better it's built so much more tougher I'm sorry but I like Ace beam
