Welcome to Recreation Ground

The exciting new Recreation Ground Park located on Recreation Street, Tweed Heads is the fourth inclusive play space in the Tweed. The play space is designed to its surrounding community’s growth and future needs including youth activities, discovery and nature play. Its natural look blends in with its surrounds connected to a large open space. Features are - new play equipment that caters for 2 to 12-year-olds, including a bouldering wall, basketball key, adult-child and basket swing, musical interactive play and slide, accessible play equipment and seating, BBQ, shelters and drinking fountain. Nature play is featured such as timber hopping logs, balance beams and rocks to climb. The upgrade has revitalised the park and supports the surrounding community encouraging free active, nature-based play.
