Thank you so much. Your video is excellent as it made my work so much easier after trying many ways. Always used page breaks but totally forgotten the option of section breaks.
Okay, but is it possible to change a pages orientation without creating a new section break? This would be useful as if my pages are automatically numbered, when a pages orientation is changed its number does not follow the numerical order set by the other pages!
So thankful! Why in the world Microsoft won't change this so me can make pages what we want them, without having to add a bunch of codes that eventually adds a blank page you can't get rid of.
If your page numbers become a mess because of the section break stuff, just like it happened to me, I just found a solution : 1- Remove all the page numbers : Insert -> Page Numbers -> Remove Page Numbers 2- Add pages numbers on each section (I hope you understand thanks to the video what a section is) : Double-click at the end of your 1st page to activate the footer -> Page Numbers -> Format Page Numbers -> Select "Continue from previous section" At this point, you should have correct page numbers on all Double-click at the end of your 1st page to activate the footer Double-click at the end of your 1st landscape oriented page to activate the footer -> same steps as before Double-click at the end of the page after your landscape oriented page to activate the footer -> same steps as before Etc. By applying this method, your page numbers should be good on your whole Word document The only issue I haven't managed to solve yet is that page numbers don't appear on the landscape oriented pages. But at least they are taken into account for the page count so it's okay Cheers!
Thanks so much. It's amazing how something so simple can be made so complicated.
