Same here, I usually reach for my drugstore ones over my highend ones.

Hi Maaike most of my favourite cheek products are higher end, but it’s due to shade tbh. I don’t use bronzer or contour- I am extremely cool toned and ultra pale so they all look weird on me eg orange, yellow, muddy, dirty or just plain weird 😂. I’m the same colour pretty much all year round so I don’t have warmth in my skin even in Summer. I do however love blush and a glowy cheek. The Em cosmetics liquid blush is a favourite in little lilac (pink with a lilac undertone on me) and pink nectar (a watermelon shade on me). The Saie liquid blush in chilly is almost a red pink on me and sheered out is really pretty. Daniel Sandler watercolour blush in Angel is such an old favourite and still pretty to this day. Made by Mitchell blursh in Dairy Queen is a bright purple that looks amazing on cool toned skin and on me pulls more like a lilac with a touch of pink (I also use it as a colour corrector to fix foundation that is a tad too yellow). I really like the Glossier cloud paint in the more lilac shade too. For a mauve the effortless is too brown so my favourite is the Giorgio Armani cream blush in shade 50. The RMS living luminizer is my favourite “highlighter” (although it is more of a glossy glow than highlighter as such). Highlighter is something I can usually find in more affordable brands however (especially powder highlighter). For powder blush Laura Gellor baked blushes were my favourite for a long time, but I no longer wear powder blush on my dry skin. Best wishes x

Yes higher end brands can certainly do good things but for cheeks I find that drugstore is often better.
