Knehyne 2015

Knehyne is the third highest hill in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy with a total height of 1257 meters above sea level. At the top, there is an ornamental pseudo-iron cross erected form a stone pedestal, build in 1860.
Knehyne is a name of Slavic origin which means the seat of priestesses or pagan prophetess.
It also could had been a place where ancient Slavs made sacrifices in pre-Christian times. The legends about Knehyne magic powers and treasures always attracted locals and pilgrims. And in Middle-ages, women accused of witchcraft were thrown into nearby chasm.
Autumns in the forests of Central Europe are very colorful. The video shows picturesque panoramas of the Beskydy Mountains. Personally, I like to go to the mountains alone and enjoy the peace.
