- WELL WELL WELL....this really was a once in a life time experience, witnessing the Cricket World Cup Final between India and Australia! We've been back in the Uk for a week or so and Matt flew out specifically to watch this match, it didn't end the way we expected or wanted it to however the Indian players have really done India proud and we are so grateful that we got to witness part of this World Cup!

India were certainties to win, except in the minds of Cummins and co.I can’t speak for all Aussies but nobody I know expected us to win. India totally dominated in the lead up matches, best bowling and batting team by far.The way Aussies won by magnificent fielding,cutting off so many potential boundaries, came back from 4/73, having lost Warner, Marsh and Smith who scored 26 runs between them was amazing. Was the reporter unhappy cos India lost or cos Aussies won? Aussies won with 42 balls to spare, easily could have chased 300+ , which I thought they’d need once India started batting.

Though i was among those disappointed that India was not the winner, i believe that the Crowd present in thr stadium should have cheered when the Australian player ( don't recall his name right now) hit the century, and they should stayed till end and cheered the Australian team when it received the cup?... Just a piece of my mind

Such a wonderful tournament. As an Australian, I am just thrilled our momentum carried us through, gaining confidence and then with the ultimate triumph, beating India in India in the WC Final. Truly unbelievable. India a great nation and team, were the best team of the tournament, though never write-off a proud nation like Australia.
My one question, for a stadium with a capacity of 130,000, how is it they only managed to get 92,000 in to watch the final? I find that bewildering. I was at the MCG in 2015 for the WC Final AUS v NZ, 93,000 people in attendance, still the biggest for a WC Final!
