Thanks great review on the 5W. My wife and I want to get the Avenue 32RLS. And live full time. But I want something lighter and smaller like what you have lol . But you know happy wife Happy life 😊 Question is with that 5W being almost 10,000 lb. How is your truck pulling this 5W. And mpg .. I also have the same size truck 6.6 gas but with a 8 ft bed , White also .cause I’m looking at 11,000 lb empty.. any thoughts
Thank you for sharing. Very nice trailer. We also own a Lance 2285. With our plans on retiring in a year and traveling out West for months at a time, we are looking for more space and a lighter interior. The Lance quality is outstanding however it is a bit tight for two adults and a lab. We are looking for space and quality. Alliance may be the one. Enjoy!
That's a nice model. We really liked the floor plan when we were looking but were concerned about the slide closing off bedroom and bathroom access in transit. We ended up settling on the 32rls. We like the model, but it is big and limits where we can go. Thinking back on it, we should have taken a closer look at this one.
Nice 5th wheel. One thing I would be concerned about though was the emergency exit window size and its location so high above the ground. You might think about a portable ladder just in case you manage to squeeze through the window.
Like you, we have a gas 3/4 ton short bed (6'4" on ours) and are looking at similar 5'ers (namely the 23mle, 22ml and similar up to 30'), but we're not sold on all the baggage that seems to come with a sliding hitch and have been told that hitches with offsets could void LCI frame warranties. Mind if I ask a few questions? - Will you be making a video about your hitch(ing) and towing details? - What hitch did you end up going with? - Since your Silverado has the new gooseball location further back from the axle, what kind of clearance are you getting to the cab if you're using a single-point connection, or did you have rails installed in the traditional, approximately over-the-axle location? - Now that you've been on a sizeable trip with it, how have you liked the experience for hooking, unhooking, ride height, bed rail interference and gap, towing, buffeting, sway, chucking, etc.? - Wind and white knuckle driving, like you described with your Lance coming back through Kentucky previously, is our biggest concern coming from Class C and B motorhomes. Is the fifth wheel that much of an improvement over the Lance TT? We have an ARE cap on the bed and are wondering if it's worth selling off just for a 5'er. - How has it been for clearance, turning and aside from the A/C incident, the ease of finding and navigating into/out of gas stations? - Is the gas working out for you? - Is there anything you would change about the hitching and/or towing experience? Thanks in advance
Hi, just started watching your channel! Your videos are great!! Thanks for sharing them. We are the proud owners of a 2021 Alliance Paradigm 310RL and have been RV'ing for 13 years, not full-time, but we have a seasonal site (Salt Fork Region SE Ohio) and travel on vacations 4 to 5 weeks a year-mostly west. I find your videos very helpful!
We loved the interior of the Alliance as it was so bright and open felling. We also liked the fact that Alliance is independently owned and has a service center in Elkhart. We also know a few Alliance owners who swear by the customer service
I like the kitchen layout. We Have a 260 rd and the bathroom and bedroom are much the same. The downside Is blocking off access to the bathroom with the slide in.
Well, it's very spacious. It looks lovely. We're still happy with our 2019 1995 Lance, probably will never go bigger, since the Lance and the 2018,F150 are paid for. Only 60,000 mi on the truck. We only have one dog, a Shih tzu rescue. We will go smaller, to a travel van as we get older. Have a wonderful time traveling!
Oh, also it's important to us to access the bathroom with the slide in, which we can do easily on the 1995 Lance, since it has a rear bathroom. This is important when you're older.😊
Love it, but I wouldn't purchase any truck or RV in the current market. Luckily, my 37' Jayco Eagle 317RLOK AND 21 F350 dually are paid for. I just can't stomach the ridiculous interest rates and the unwillingness to negotiate as was the case before 2021.
I like that the sound bar is above the tv! Keeping it down where you don't strain your neck. That table is beautiful. Love that bathroom sink and counter. The bed accent lights are adorable! Just noticed the white erase board right at the door! Great idea.
We sold our Lance last year and bought a 385FL. We have missed watching you because your tips on the Lance were always so helpful. We were always hoping you’d one day buy and Alliance!! We are so excited to see your videos for Alliance. They are a great company.
Glamping at its best. Home away from home. Very nice. I'd like to suggest a bit of color be added with all that white. Warm wheat, different shades of neutrals. A cozy throw for the bed and chairs in the seating area 😊
Thank you, for doing a review after you’ve used spent time in your new 5th wheel. Little things, not working properly, can happen in any travel trailer. I agree with wanting to purchase from an independent dealer. I’m still very happy with my NuCamp TAB 400. I love your honest reviews! 😉
Hey guys, I really like the new RV. Glad you moved up to a 5th wheel. I think you will love the advantages and the extra space. The one thing I didn't like about this one when we looked at them is the inability to access the bathroom in transit. I know you trade one thing for another when it comes to RVs and you can never get everything you want but I think you got almost everything you needed. All the best, Pat
If your Maxxair has the clips on the outside, adding the cover is literally a 5 minute job; they also offer a fine mesh optional screen for the cover where you can make sure no bug, no matter how small can get in to your rv. Reccomend both.
I have seen many of your videos. From teardrop. You both are such great teachers. Patty you talk about everything I would have wanted to know. Thank you. Well Patrick you teach too. Thanks
Patrick, we had the Snap Pads on the rear legs and had to remove them. Per Lippert, they recommend that you have 7" of clearance when the legs are retracted, and with the Snap Pads we only had about 5 1/2" so we removed them.
Hi, Congratulations on your new 5th wheel. Very Pretty and Oh My Gosh, the amazing storage. Awesome. I was watching your video on your new mattress. I clicked on the link, it looks complicated to figure out which one to choose. Our towable camper mattress is horrible. I've added a foam topper with a cushie mattress pad , and it's still uncomfortable, so I was hoping to look into the one you purchased. I will try again. You're Doggies are so cute! Happy travels.
Just heard on someone's RV video that more RVs are being bought by women than men now. Women are more interested in thew interior and the colors so it would behoove you people to show the interior first..
Since the etiquette points for parking lot overnights are easily ignored.......where is the line? In previous videos you mention putting down your stabilizers as well. Other RUclips's are running generators overnight as well. Etiquette guidelines are fine as long as they don't impact me? ???? When all the free overnight spots are gone we have no one to blame but ourselves
@@jerrygundrum1 I put my slide out and stabilizers down. It is simple and easy. First, you ask permission and then be a good guest. Make sure your slide is over grass or not blocking anything and safe. Be a good patron and quiet, clean, and out early. There is your answer. If you follow this you will be fine and not be the reason these spots go away. Now you know. You’re welcome.
Thanks for the tour! 5th wheels are nice, but our truck isn't beefy enough for one (for now, anyway, until Rod can't hold back anymore!). That storage, though--wow!
Hey, Patrick and Patty, enjoyed the tour a great deal; some features on other brands that I wish Alliance had incl'd on this f'plan, though. Ques: Patrick, you showed a switch at the control panel for the Hall Light. Is there ANOTHER Hall Light switch in the upper deck? If not, that is something which should be changed at factory level, IMO. Again, enj'd the tour; look forward to more updates. Y'all Be Safe!
Alliance did a nice job with this small 5ver. On the 2 AC on 30A, yes you can...we have 3 in our Paradigm and installed soft starts and we can run 2 without an issue. Of course if you want to run a uWave, hairdryer, toaster etc, we shut one off while we use them.
Once again, Congratulations on your new RV. It may be a small thing but I am glad to see an overhead fan installed in the kitchen. It is really a nice thing to have when cooking food like bacon as I have found the range hoods over the stove usually don't keep up. The coach looks really livable.................almost like the people who designed it might actually camp in it.
Thanks for the walkthrough. Looks great. Did your truck already have the 5th wheel hitch in the truck bed, or did you have to get that done? Also, what is the pin weight. I have a ram 2500 with 3000 lbs payload and was thinking about getting a 5th wheel but have a short bed and the bed does not have the fifth wheel ready hitch holes.
You had done a review on Cougar 23MLE model. What were the top few reasons you decided on Alliance over Cougar? No access to the bathroom during driving is a big negative, but the Alliance corporation seems to be rock solid.
We honestly fell in love with Alliance as a company being they are independently owned like NuCamp. We also loved the interior design as well as the overall construction
Thank you. Having the bathroom inaccessible while the slide is in is a deal breaker for me. For the price of the Avenue, I would have expected solar to already be installed.
What an outstanding couples camper! Sorry you don’t have USB ports but those can be added. The only thing we aren’t crazy about is the outside steps, we had those and it kept the doorway dirty all the time. Great u dinette with plenty of space. Alliance is a very nice rig!
Very nice couples fifth wheel! I love the kitchen and floor plan but not being able to access the bathroom and bedroom with the slide in is a deal breaker for me and this models biggest negative but being you are on a seasonal site you won’t be distance traveling ie stopping to overnight at Cracker Barrel’s etc so that won’t matter. I do love all the storage and the bright white cabinets. I’m a fan of Alliance, their quality seems very good.
Thank you so much for the great tour of your new 5th wheel! Love it!❤ I can't wait to see what Patty does for decorating. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy!! And most of all , safe travels!
You guys must be thrilled with this new rv, so comfortable, workable and feels like home, I get it, because we had a similar situation when upgrading. Nothing like the fiver for towing. Congratulations, it’s an amazing RV.
I'm glad you guys are happy with your new RV. When we chose our second (current) unit there were several things I was looking for. While no RV is perfect I'm very happy with most of ours. We can access the bathroom and bedroom with the slides in. It has a residential fridge which is huge. They made good use of most spaces. Under the dinette you have drawers at each end and the center is accessable from the outside. The sewer connection (single connection), valve controls, and water hookup are all together, near the center. All valves are direct pull, no cables to fail. The max air fans an came with covers. We have a single thermostat so when I replaced it with a microair it was a single unit to buy, not 2. Obviously a person has to figure out what works for them. Luckily they make lots of floor plans and there's lots of brands so we have plenty to choose from.
To me the design issues like the USBs and the slider cutting off access to the bathroom are offset by having a manufacturer that you feel great about and can build a relationship with. You can work around the inconveniences but you can’t work around a non-responsive or uncooperative manufacturer.
Great walk through video y’all ! Love the setup. Wasn’t sure if the new RV is a 50 amp or 30 amp? Also do you’ll need to refill the 30 gallon propane tanks or if there are places that allow you to exchange them? Does it have a backup camera?
Tom and I switch campsites like you guys switch trailers! 🤣 But seriously, your experience with different ones brings so much value for people who are undecided because they can experience first hand the differences between the ones you’ve enjoyed over the years… but this one has so much storage and space to make your time on the road feel just like home! BIG CONGRATS to both of you and I’m certain Truman and Bess are going to love hanging out with more space too! 🐾
Morning Pat/Patty (Truman/Bess). Your new rig is simply awesome. Makes me wanna trade ours for same but I own a Tundra that so too small to tow with ☹️. ❤️ the interior color scheme and lay out. The overall length 22’ is perfect couple coach. Can’t wait for your future adventure videos. Safe travels 🤙🏽

I thought you would for sure go for the new Cougar 23MLS 5th wheel! Congratulations on your new Alliance.
We almost did actually.
Great review- we will be looking into buying one for ourselves 🍻

I see you guys are in Megunticook Campground, ME today. Love your channel. Do you miss your Lance?
We were there! We loved our Lance but are really enjoying the new Alliance.
How are doing, when towing a 5th wheel, as opposed to a trailer? Congratulations
I love towing 5th wheels compared to trailers. No real issue with sway.

What size truck are you pulling with.
Silverado 2500HD
what are you pulling it with ?
2022 Silverado 2500HD Gas truck
Love all the white.......so glad to see manufactures have been listening!
We really loved it the minute we walked in.
I like it! perfect size for two people. Not to small and not to big
We do too! Thank you

Just a taste thing, but we love the wood and dark tan leather on our Lance. It looks like a swanky yacht inside.
Glad you love it!
Beautiful, best of luck and happy trails🎉
Thank you! You too!
Loads of storage everywhere . Refreshing to see !
There’s definitely plenty of storage and cargo carrying capacity
I like the 8ft width and no steps in the bedroom.
Nice trailer. So much to like. Like the water management system. But not be a buzzkill. I hate the stairs. Worst design ever.
Looks great, glad it’s working out so well for you!
Thank you so much

Just heard on someone's RV video that more RVs are being bought by women than men now. Women are more interested in thew interior and the colors so it would behoove you people to show the interior first..
“You people”? We’re not an RV dealership. We’re just sharing our new rv with the people who care about us as human beings.
Absolutely LOVE the white cabinets, and ALL. THAT. STORAGE!!!!!
We do too! And it has a lot of cargo carrying capacity to go with the storage
What strikes me is when overnight parking you lose access to the bathroom bed room and the kitchen sink with the slide in. Deal breaker for us
I have found you can always find a place to put out slide. Even at Cracker Barrel and rest stops.
Same with us Jonathan. We always put out the slide on our Lance which is why It wasn’t a deal breaker for us.
If you follow this you will be fine and not be the reason these spots go away. Now you know. You’re welcome.
We have the same unit and love it. We tow with a 2021 F250.
Happy for you Delaneys! I like light and more contemporary look of the inside ( not like 70s kitchen)))
Watching your channel since Carl
Thank you so much! We really fell in love with the interior decor on the rv
looks fantastic. I'm so proud for you.
Thank you so much
Love the light colors and 12-volt refrigerator! CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank you!

No…that is the only switch for the hall light.

So much storage, and the finishes are beautiful!
Curious what is the silver box on the kitchen counter?
Thank you! That is our Ninja 9-1 Air Fryer/toaster oven. It’s in space saver mode
Great tour/ thanks for sharing and know you guys will enjoy 🤙
Thanks for watching!

This unit looks really nice. Glad to see you you got the deal you were looking for including a decent trade value on the Lance.

It’s a 50 amp unit. You do have to typically refill the 30# tanks. No backup camera yet but we will be adding one.

Thank you so much Randi!
Thank you so much! I wish Toyota made a 3/4 ton.
Do yourself a favor.. don't say or show anything negative about anything Alliance.. their fans are rabid. I know from experience.
They've told us it's all "NICE".
We also share the truth….both good and bad.
