- So turns out Fury is way too heavy for snow wheeling. Despite having more ground clearance and the same tire size as Sam's JL, Fury did considerably worse. Now mind you, not having a functional rear locker didn't help. As some of you know I've had locker issues for a while now. But I've had Fury in the shop for a while for repairs and lots of things got replaced, but the locker was beyond repair.

Great video Virgil..What will you do about the weight,that was clearly the problem.
The weight is certainly a big problem, but so is the fact that my rear locker wasn’t working. It’s what kept me from going straight as only one rear wheel was spinning most of the time.
As for the weight, other than building an aluminum kitchen, there isn’t much I can strip off or do without.
Even the mouse was trying to get out of there! We are suppose to get a foot of that stuff mid week. Most is gone now but obviously it is about to change. Thanks for posting.

With no working rear locker? I'm guessing your right rear tire was the driving tire...pushing you to the left. Snow is a lot like mud. You want to keep your forward momentum up, not just try to creep through it.
Yes you are right in this analysis, it was the right rear that was mostly spinning and this makes perfect sense then!!
A good trick is to stuff a sleeping bag inside of a sleeping bag. A 20 degree F bag inside of a zero degree F bag...A zero degree rated bag will keep you alive at zero degrees, not comfortable at zero degrees.
Yeah I did bring my army issued bad as well which is a dual system, an inner and an outer. Really warm. But I mumbled when I said this in the video lol.
