I don’t understand why the board were so annoyed with, for example, Susan Creighton when SS produced their report.

Yes this has never been adequately explained. However its precisely why people won't step out of line in HMG groups. Know thy place etc. My deduction is this: Knowing that HZN was becoming the focus of so much attack over its reliability, Susan recruited a forensic accountancy team/firm (SS) to look into it. She didn't manage to mute them or perhaps didn't intend to. However it was seen as an act of betrayal & treason by members of management who had played God over the integrity of HZN without any deep understanding of IT; and without any legal or accountancy knowledge. Bluster wins the day: "Its "robust" is a wonderful play on words. It sounds strong and impervious. The "group" lie is unassailable and those who dare to question it must go. "Goodbye Susan Crichton. Go now of your own accord or be publicly hanged you wretched woman." Now at risk of offending - may I please mention the glass ceiling again...... May I? Jail now loomed for he that dare to use that filthy expression. How typical of his kind..... !!

Both Alice Perkins & Paula Vennells knew Susan Cricton had in her possession to present to the POL board a truly damning report by Second Sight about the Horizon system, and they knew that if the board was informed it would have to drop all prosecutions against SPM's and compensation running into absolute millions, and that would have led to the POL closing down as an organisation and bankruptsy,
Neither Perkins or Vennells could allow that so refused to allow Susan Cricton into the board meeting, forcing her to sit outside..as the inquiry has been made aware of..quote "like a naughty school child"..and revealed at the inquiry by Susan Cricton herself..
Everyone associated with POL is corrupt, and certain government ministers are culpable and complicit too

Despite everything that had happened for years to uncover the truth by MPs, Ministers, auditors etc, it was only when the SPMs actually got the post office into court that the truth came out. Even after the ‘common issues’ trial, the post office did everything they could to scupper the trials.
I wonder how many millions they paid out in legal fees trying to keep the lid on their crimes.
From what I saw of the oral evidence, I think Alice Perkins was shown to be one of the most dishonest witnesses.
I hope these people have to pay for their crimes.

Well my conclusion is that Ms Storey tells a good yarn. All style over substance. Tow the middle line; don't rock the boat; go home, collect the baby and count the money.

This inquiry reflects middle class attitudes to working class people, even within their own organization. The subpostmasters and mistresses concerned are a low grade therefore they MUST be nafarious and guilty. Senior managers should not judge their staff by their own standards.

Another person unable to do the job they were paid to do. Winging about rushed report from second sight. What about the Crimes committed against thousands of postmasters and their families. Disgusting testimony

Another glass ceiling break-through. However maternity leave intervened as it so often does. Let us now listen to how she copes with the duel challenge of motherhood and the workplace. I will brook no preconceived bias. I demand a level playing field. Are you ready..... ? Lets go! Obligatory vocal fry present. Check.
