Charley Crockett should be considered the current reigning king of Country music. He deserves his spot on the Opry stage, I love his music and his style. It makes me happy to high heaven to see him get this honor. I hope he influences many many more people to bring back the true country music sound back to the forefront of country radio, Nashville & the country music industry. I know I am not alone in saying country music fans have been craving some good ol’ -old fashioned- old school - back to its roots- back in boots - The man in black and the legends in Nudie suits- Honky Tonks that are real Honky Tonks with Western swing dance floors and chicken wire around the band stage instead of these gods awful themed clubs and dive bars that are only country western in decor hiring cheap Dj’s to play pop and hip hop , song that are wrote and sung from the heart and soul and that are relatable to the lives of normal everyday country folk- kinda country. True traditional country music and everything that makes all the old country music something so great that it’s messages and songs, it’s outlaws and troubadours, it’s way of life are all still things people love and find relevant even decades later in these chaotic times. I feel like Charley Crockett is a sign of good things ahead for the current state of not just country music but music and the music industry in general. God Bless Charley Crockett. God Bless the Opry. God bless our country .
I don't like comparisons because everyone is unique, but I can't help but see a little Dwight Yoakam in him. He brings a fresh take on traditional country. What an uplifting story.
This is the direction country music should have gone in, this is it. I get chills watching this whole thing, he's in awe and it's awesome. I am hung up on anything he puts out, low fi field recordings or highly produced videos that look like vintage movies. Part of me wants him to be the biggest star in the world and another part wants to keep him for myself.
well deserved. The Opry could sure use Charlie Crockett as a member, think of hearing that every other month. This is how real country music never dies.
He represents everything Garth Brooks tried to tear down. You couldn’t pay me to listen to a Garth Brooks album or attend one his concerts. On the other hand I’ve paid a good sum and come from far afield to see Charley save hillbilly music.
Just the greatest talent today. Listen to everything he's done. It's great listening to my wife walk the house singing his songs. I wake up and catch myself singing this guy's songs. Glad he's making it. Such a great career and more to come. Awesome.
Just caught Charley’s show at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland Oregon 12/05/2022 bought tickets for my whole family as a Christmas gift. it was a wonderful evening. Charley deserves to be offered Opry membership. He is truly saving Country & western music one song and show at a time!🎶
Beautiful tunes and a truly awesome human being. Great to see him soaring. Been a big fan of a few years now, but to see him play The Opry brings tears to my eyes.
His music has so much soul and spirit that its got a healing quality to it. I work in home health care and his music helps cheer me up in between rides
Well, keep them guessing I reckon! Mr. Charley Crockett you are unique… I just love listening to you and I was never really a big country music fan. I wish you all the best.
Crazy...first watched Charlie live on a cruise ship! In my late 50's I felt I was back listening to my dads 8 tracks! He has been my go to Spotify artist ever since...hands down the best original honky tonk/country artist in years!!!!
Good to see folks like Charley out there getting recognition for making great music! We need more like him in the spotlight right now. He can play BOTH kinds of music: Country AND Western.
Man oh mighty…! I stumbled across you a couple months ago when I was looking through traditional country artists here on The RUclipss wanting to find country chords while teaching myself to play the guitar… I LOVE your music and you as a human being Sir..! So it was just days after finding your music that I looked up your tour and saw that your coming here to Bend, OR in April and you best believe I’m gonna be there enjoying your artistic vision… I appreciate You Charley Crockett….
I got off a boat in Port Aransas, TX stopped off at a gas station and seen on the front page of a news paper that Freddie Fender had passed. I was always a fan, now I’m a Charley Crockett fan too!
This guy is so talented and love his style. I dont know if he has a record deal, but Nashville better wake up. First time I’ve heard of him and I will buying his records.
Just had the pleasure to see CC in Portland. Awesome show of classic country and great musicality with him and the Blue Drifters. It brought me back to being a kid in Texas and watching those old timers still playing tunes from the 40's, 50's, and 60's.
Not pretending to know anything but the "pay to play" aspect of music biz prbly gets the fleeting flash in the pans their 15min. The LEGENDS rise despite the rigged system. ❤️ your music & class Charley!
I had heard his name a few times, but I figured he was just another musician. Since I caught on, I can’t get enough of his music and style. I was going to see him in a couple of weeks, but it got canceled. I won’t mis Charley the next time.
Great interview video. It's incredible to see an old soul in someone so young and naturally talented. Charley is the definition of true authenticity and he is where he is today because of his own hard work. Only going up from here!
What's the thing with a 70's rotary phone in all of ur music videos? I wish u the best of success with ur music. I can look back n be nostalgic about the past in my life. Always be u. God be with u.
I don't like country music, don't listen to it. I don't like the way it's marketed today. I saw Charlie play two shows at Wheatland Music festival in 2018, and really like his sound and style. THIS is the type of country music I could listen to !!
This is "country" music, anything else is "pop" music. So many artist like Charley who get even less recognition, but that is the point of good country, otherwise the soul is missing.
A penny for Your thoughts while on the Opry stage standing in that circle 🎶💙… SeeYou in Chattanooga 8~23~23 🤍You Charley !! And I am beyond proud of You !! “ 🎤Going to Chattanooga “ hoping You will definitely do that one 😊
"If everybody understands what's your doing, then it's probably not going to be anything unique.' AMEN, brother.
Ya, it takes sand & vision to walk ur own road. Crocket's got it.
So nice to hear a new artist playing true traditional country music on the Opry
It's rare these days.

The appreciation and humbleness he extrudes is so genuine and refreshing.
"The way I rebel is by putting tradition upfront"
This statement of his redeems his horseback skills lol
The best countryman of today.✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
I rode the “R” train from Bay Ridge (Brooklyn) to Union Square for 30 years! I love your music! ❤
Love that he's starstruck with Garth and Trisha. Just got tickets to see him in Portland next month. Cannot wait!
Garth blows.
I was present at Charley's Opry debut....I'm so smitten...he totally rocked the house.
That’s awesome!
I don't like comparisons because everyone is unique, but I can't help but see a little Dwight Yoakam in him. He brings a fresh take on traditional country. What an uplifting story.
I was thinking the same watching him perform. Love to see the two together.

Awesome! The Opry is finally hosting country artists again
well deserved. The Opry could sure use Charlie Crockett as a member, think of hearing that every other month. This is how real country music never dies.
So happy for Charley. He put in the time and paid his dues.
...Showing rebellion by putting tradition up front....LOVE IT!

Charlie has become a new favorite artist since I first heard him a few months ago on a Spotify mix. I love his sound and authenticity!
Happy for Charley. The guy came up the hard way.
Charley is just so good
The way he interacts with people alone is so impressive. He’s such a talented guy and its so cool to see how far he’s come
Very happy to see this fine human being on the Opry. If you haven't caught one of his shows, you better catch up.
Just the greatest talent today. Listen to everything he's done. It's great listening to my wife walk the house singing his songs. I wake up and catch myself singing this guy's songs. Glad he's making it. Such a great career and more to come. Awesome.

Wow at 3:09 when Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood show up!
This dude is the real McCoy. Real country artists are real people, not manufactured. They do exist still.
It’s Country Music Jesus Eric Church was praying for.
I like him hurrah for traditional country
