I am using Polk for last 10 years, they sound superb!! Very durable and awesome quality.
Man, I been rocking with Polk Audio since 2001 and I'm still rocking with them.
Sealed speaker box is not ideal proper testing most door speakers are designed for more semi free air doors are never ever sealed. I have the Polk 5x7 mm and sound awesome great clarity
Polk mm series is literally made to be waterproof... they need some serious break in time... let then run in a hot car for a couple weeks... they bump my jeep just a pair of db+ 6x9's.
I got the Polk 5x7 cuz they discontinued the infinity. I don’t care about bass. I cut off low frequencies to my speakers and let the sub do the work for bass in my car.

Polk is leaking air it's not mounted correctly it's not flush on the box there is no mistaking that sound
You’re comparing apples to oranges by running 2ohms vs 4ohms via the same channel. I run Polk MM’s all around my vehicle and it literally sounds like the band is sitting in the vehicle. All individually sealed and packed with crossovers connected.
You need to tweak the crossover settings and adjust individually! There is a REASON Polk utilizes a smaller magnet. So, take the time to set them up separately and adjust correctly then compare! You’ll be surprised!
Ok so it's very clear if u fo to 10:15 the poll audio isnt mounted into the box right and air is spraying out around it you can hear it the whole video but it's clear at 10:15 and that's why it sounds bad I was confused because I have herd both of these 6x9's and they are both amazing the polk doesnt sound bad at all. I think it's too big for the cut out in that box I can see where the other screws go it's not even sitting flush with the box need to do this test again!
Dude you have a 2 ohm vs 4 ohm on the same amp. And check to polarity on that Polk maybe?
He has enough power I believe. 2 ohm would mean you would consume less power and 4 ohm would mean you need more power per unit you have.

@@austinsears1637 2 ohms is less resistant than 4 ohms. Therefore, 4 ohm requires more power. Unless you’d like to tell why bud.
Lower you go on ohms the more it draws power. If you amp can’t handle the load it will blow fuses left and right or burn up the amp or speaker, maybe the car.
Those boxes don't have enough cubic feet to make any kind of real deep bass

I had 2 6x9 infinity kappa (gold series) I think - I bought from a friend for 25 $. Holy Shit, best money ever spent. The speaker weighed several pounds. Well made.

Im in the market now. I too had kappa 6x9s around that time. 100 w each. I removed my two rf punch 10s. Didnt need them. But now I'm hearing they died as far a quality

FACTS❗️ That's why I love Polk. They sound superbly clear. I don't like all that bass. On my radio unit, I put the bass all the way to 0.
Normally I like, enjoy & trust your testing, comparisons & videos 👌 but not this one. This testing is 100%
flawed. You need to wire & test
with same ohms. No audio
enthusiast or company bridges
different ohms ( full range ) on the same amp. Possibility one speaker is getting too much wattage & the other one too little wattage. You
can measure wattage on a meter
to be more accurate.

I want to know what speakers I should put in a 2019 Silverado no subs I believe there are 6.5 in back 6x9 in front.
Both speakers are not getting same power the 4 ohm speakers is getting way less power if the speakers isn't on by your button the ohm impedance isn't affecting the final impedance at the amplifier. Kappa wins bass but polk sounds clearer highs at least in this video.

Both speakers are NOT using same power. And the enclosure is far less than optimal.
So your running one channel at 2 ohms and the other channel at 4 ohms ..why I dont know... but the amps power is as follows RMS Watts @ 4 Ohms Stereo at 14. 4V: 90 Watts x 4ch
RMS Watts @ 2 Ohms Stereo at 14. 4V: 125 Watts x 4ch
So basically your running less power to the polk yet expect it to be just as loud as the infinity? Your testing is completely flawed.

@@LIFEINSPEED your test is still wrong ..the amp bridge has a RMS Power Rating Bridged @4 Ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan. They have NO rating for a 2 ohm load....you need to get an amplifier that at 4 ohms and 2 ohms puts out the same rating...we have no clue how your testing this unit exactly because from the sound of it it doesnt sound right at all. Good luck with fixing this test...btw the polk audio is meant for more out door use(boat motorcycle, atv) while the infinity is not, and I'm not exactly sure about this but I did read or hear some place the grill for the polka are meant to help it with bass, if this is true ior CV not I'm not sure but I'll find out soon.

Btw the application seems wrong its in a sealed enclosed is that its intended application? the to add the grill on the polk is meant to help with the bass ...so to answer yourvquestion yes many things seem or could be wrong.

@@LIFEINSPEED To be fair amps can clip at 20% if your source (phone,headunit,ipod) are outputing a clipped signal. Send a clipped signal to an amp and it will amplify that clipped signal and fry speakers

This is tottaly waste of money.... i checked reviews of polk on every web site like c.filed, sonix, etc... and brought them... they sound stupid !! JUST like factory speakers of my car, Then i installed them in trash, and got Alpine type R,,,, And now i am fan of alpine.... pls do some comparisons with alpine type R as well.
