I’m glad I found your channel,
Thanks for watching!
Whats up. This is the guy you talked to earlier today around 3:30 from Arkansas and gave me all those tips. Thanks man. Cant wait to watch more of these videos and get ready for her maiden voyage on the ocean.
Good luck, sir. Tons of information in these videos.
@@NavarreKayakFishing i went ahead and i got a buddy at a local boat shop to order me the garmin striker 4. I will try and upload a video if i catch anything or have any luck. I will point them your way.
A tip from you I stole and love is the rod holder just to the rear the seat, so much easier and faster, secure and out the way. Use to just hunt for the flush mount back there! And you can get it there but that rod holder positioned right you don't even have to look hardly. Old dog new tricks I reckon. Cheers man, love to see set ups of yaks who spend a lot of time out there.
Sometimes it is challenging to fish those flush mounts!
As you can see I like to keep it as simple as possible.
Always great tips...and an awesome video..appreciate your time
Thanks, sir.
Great walk thru
Thanks for watching, Bob.
Great info Nick!!!!
Thanks Mark!
Nice video dude 👍👌
Thanks!
Nice walk though - just wanted to know if you had any videos on anchoring system you use or your setup
Hey Nick, can you show more detail about how your mounted your electronics? I have the Garmin Echomap plus 73SV. I have it mounted on the rail now but I might like it on the handle like that.
I will make a video about so it’s easier to see!
@@NavarreKayakFishing did you make that video?

Great video again. What size fish grips and de-hookers do you use and are they different for inshore and offshore? I've never used them..
I use the 9” dehookers and the regular size fish grips for both inshore and offshore.
Love the videos you put out great info...I actually set up a rod behind my left shoulder and it works great (thanks for that tip). So do the small replacement plates for the front side panels have the ability to mount to?
Trever, I don’t like to mount anything there because I like the deck to be as open as possible but I know multiple people who have mounted the Helix 5’s and Helix 7’s on it.
Originally they were designed to provide easier access to the storage area.
When I fish inshore I keep a paddle holder mounted to the front right so secure my net across the front of the kayak.
@@NavarreKayakFishing thanks. I have learned that I like that to be open as well, just wanted to keep the options open. I mount my Humminbird on my right handle mount (thanks for making those).
Hey Nick, I noticed your rod holder that sits across the rear well behind the seat. Did you make that or is it purchased? Looking for something simple. Thanks tight lines
Here’s a video about it - ruclips.net/video/2px6gGvWG0o/видео.html
Cool video, What baitcaster was that in the back of your Kayak?
Garttiett, thats a Shimano Tranx 200. amzn.to/3df91im
It's a little overkill for the bait rod but it will last me several years of serious abuse!
Navarre Kayak Fishing | Florida Kayak Fishing it looked like a Tranx
Have you flipped that yak out in the open ocean? And have you tested the life preserver compared to one say like a NRS? Which one did you like better?
Ive never flipped the kayak over (knock on wood, I’m far overdue). I have jumped out and re-entered the kayak in 70’ of water. However, we have clients fall out a few times each year. I prefer the inflatables for a number of reasons (great video topic)
- if you fall out you’re next to a 120lb floating piece of plastic. You should never, under any circumstances leave the kayak. If you can get back in strap the yourself to the kayak and hold on. The kayak is much easier to find in the water then a person.
- if you fall out you can easily swim around and maneuver with the inflatable on prior to inflating it. Attempting to get back into a kayak that sits as high as the Predator can be challenging and if you’re life jacket gets in the way you will be tempted to take it off.
- if you fall out you can pull a cord and instantly float (there’s a tube on the inside that allows you to manually add air as well)
How long can u run that fishfinder with the 10Ah Nocqua? Garmin seems to have a higher draw than the lowrance. Was debating whether or not to go to a 15Ah or higher battery to get 2 9-hr days worth of use between charges.
The 94SV drains the battery way fast then the 7” versions did. I’ve got it to 8 hours but I wouldn’t count on it for day two.
I would either double battery it with the 10AH’s or got with a 15AH or higher.
@@NavarreKayakFishing My Nocqua 10ah gets me a "low battery" warning after just a few hours with my Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv. I have ordered a FPV 17.5ah.
Your Ultra 106SV uses way more power then a 7 or 9” fish finder.
Does that handle where you have the Garmin fits the Sportsman Power by MK?
Robert, it does. They are available here - navarrekayakfishing.com/shop/kayak-handle-w-gear-track-mount/
What changes would you make?
Hello from Pensacola. In your opinion, would this kayak be the most economic way to safely get offshore in a kayak (as far a new kayaks- not 2nd hand)
Daniel, at $2600 is a fantastic kayak. We use them all year and sell them for $2200 in the fall. If you buy it and decide you prefer another hobby you will be able to sell it for a great price.
Purchasing new gives you a five year warranty on the drive and a lifetime warranty on the hull.
@@NavarreKayakFishing Can I get the warranty on a 3 month old salty 120 PDL I bought used
Who make your fish bag?
Robert, it's a Reliable Fish Bag - amzn.to/3fHEA69
Didn’t see a manual bilge pump?
I normally don’t carry it.
