Quick TIP: to select object easier, like the badges here, use the X-Ray mode (ALT+Z) to be able to select stuff using transparency. This would have been helpful here to select most of the vertices (also switch between the different vertex modes to select exactly what you want).

Note! If you have the collision disappear completely (that is, the car model disappears completely) when you click "hide collision". Change Blender version to 4.0
so when you modify/debadge or whatever you do to the model physically, will all that have any affect on its physics or anything like that? like will the car function properly in the game if i was to modify it in blender and add some stuff to it on the exterior?

how do you prevent the files from switching from a _hi.yft to .yft? I keep running into the issue with cars and changing the name to the correct name just makes the car unusable in the server.

question isnt it still breaking the new TOS changes even if their debadged / unbranded ? doesnt the look have to be 20/40% different for it to pass off as a different design to the car?. Also if the car has been ripped from another game it still breaks TOS even when debadged which they can compare the wireframes if they're. Better off making them from scratch which iv started to do but this is helped me to start getting into fivem vehicles. :)

you should clearlify that you can only do this on unlocked models and cannot be done if you do now have the rights for the models itself ive seen alot of people that do not have the model rights that have been unlocking vehicles from devs and when i asked them about it they post this video

No it wont. Car needs to look different. Yor server still can get DMC. It takes someone to actually report your server and the brand itself need to issue a seize and desist letter.
so i followed all the steps and got sollumz but when I open the (Example_hi) file from the To De badge file I made it comes up with the box in blender, I click hide collisions and then it just looks like bullets from the matrix. anyone else seeing this? i have no model just drops all over the place in the area the model would be.
Update- Finally was able to debadge a car but it left a hole in the trunk can see right through and i only removed the letters on a dodge just like in the video.
The only files you need to edit when debadging a car is the yft and the _hi.yft but you have to export it as an XML through codewalker, when done in blender you have to put the XML’s back into yft

Hi! I would try to debadge it again and put the debadged version elsewhere and see if the issue continues, I’ve not heard of that problem occurring before so it may just be something you’re doing wrong during the export process maybe?

@@tapu5509 duplicating the _hi I wouldn’t recommend doing, the vehicle needs both LOD’s to preserve the shape, texture and quality whilst it’s streaming into the server
i am super new to this. i was able to make mods folder and put my car files in that file to view in codewalker. but i dont know how to make it an xml file to be able to import the file to blender. can anyone help please

Make sure your RPF Explorer is in "Edit Mode"... drag the .xml file into RPF Explorer, and it will automatically convert from .XML to .YFT

With openiv you can also remove logos
codewalker import error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Totally normal, it's gonna work properly in FiveM. Make sure you don't have a yft_hi being exported when you modify a yft, that's it
