Last night was Setsubun Fest in Japan, so I threw beans and drank enjoyable. Then I went to bed and woke up, and I found that some tremendous had been dropped!, hahaha.
I watched this song live at the their show on Saturday of 28th Jan. When Su- sat on the throne of the monochrome and throny set, put on the black color outfits, started singing it off on sitting, and I saw it on the big screen, I thought for a second that the 'Alien Queen' was singing it, ha. It reminded me of the shuddering scene from that film I watched decades ago. I believe she has always sung standing up. She's hardly ever sung sitting down, has she? Only when she played the piano? That her is now a dignified woman. She even has dignity.
To tell you the truth, I felt that Su- was still not getting used to the way she sang, and I guess she went a little out of some notes. Takano Seminar has pointed the same thing out on his YT channnel right after the shows and I agreed with it. But on the contrary, it was very raw and I felt like I stood in front of the live show, and was rather so good. It got goosebumps and cried for me, haha. Of course, I had a lots chantings.
But this seems to be still backing vocals. I believe it was longer in the intro part of the live show. I look forward to the live DVD.
By the way, at 8:08, I thought the same thing in the next Devine Attack, I was a little worried that Su-'s jaw would come off, haha. She is just the real singer!, the metal vocalist! And it's the mouth of the Alien Queen, lol. And I have never see the Moa's death stare, wow.
I hear that some of the old fans from the early days in Japan, are bored to now BM because the kawaii, or playful elements are gone, and some of the overseas fans are disappointed at BM because the Japanese-like elements are gone. Well, I can understand what they said, but I am not disappointed at all.😀

Awesome that you saw their return! So epic! I can't wait to hear live vocals, regardless if they aren't "perfect". That Blu Ray can't come soon enough! LOL
The only other time (besides the ones you listed) that I can think of that she sang sitting down was Akatsuki Unfinished version at Legend 1997. I also heard that Su was having issues with her in ear monitors on the first night. I have no idea how true that is though since it was 2nd or third hand information.
@@TreadheadA1 That unfinished version was pointed out by others in another comment section the other day. It is indeed true. But I believe the intent of the production is different. The way she stands and sings, is very sincere, and she has a great attitude as a singer anyway, like the fact that she holds the microphone with her left hand and that position hardly moves. There are Japanese fans who point that out, and I totally agree with it. That she finally sat down and sang! It is still a shock for me to say that, haha.
And as for the matter of the equipment problems on the first day, it also introduced for me to this comment the other day. I'll reprint it here.

The sound coming from the stage, the sound of the earphones, and the sound of the rear speakers are all out of sync, so it's hard to sing with that and it can't be helped. It has a great effect on singing. There was even a scene where I almost got into an accident. Mr. Aoyama was also wrong. BABYMETAL's acoustics on the first day were not so bad, and there was a pattern of fixing them on the second day. Makuhari had good acoustics from the first day. I thought it was good, but it's the corona situation this time. According to Koba, the staff has fallen apart. I was afraid, are you okay? and. Actually, it wasn't okay. With that moving stage and speaker placement, a weak Doppler effect would also occur, and since the moving stage and rear speakers were too close, it was inevitable that the sound would be out of sync. This was unbelievably epic to see live in person. Seeing them perform it live gave me chills. Babymetal puts on a show like no other band.

Nice reaction. A Majestic entrance and return. Dig the way Moa leads the troops. Like a true leader. Moa and her death stare. Ooohh scary. Their staff like objects. Su and Moa's look like giant tuning forks to me. Which is fitting for them to have. The others in black robes with the double loop fit the scheme. Also, with the lighting it's like a FX tunnel. Moa returning from yet another metalverse with her troops from the way the video looks. If you look carefully, you can see there are two more throne chairs to the sides of the one Su is sitting on. Very cool way to start the show. Now if we can get them to announce a more tour dates that include the USA. That would be cool too. I always wanted to see them at Madison Square Gardin.
It just hit me reading your comment concerning the staffs. At first I thought something like tridents, but only two tongs. I’m now positive they are replicating the kitsune sign. Thanks for making me think.

There has been two previous times I have said Su has never looked and sounded so beautiful to me. 1st was Legend S No Rain No Rainbow. 2nd was Legend M Shine. Now I HAVE to add a 3rd time. Su looked beyond enchanting and sounds amazing. I mean look at 4:40. That Beautiful Death Glare.
Moa as always is beautiful and I love her English pronunciation Like I said before her voice is pure warmth. Moa at 4:03 so powerful.
What I would have gave to be there.

Last week, I attended BABYMETAL's 2DAYS live concert and what I felt was HEAVY METAL if you listen to the songs, HAPPY METAL if you see them on stage, and the bridge between the two is KAWAII😁. If I may say so, I think they became a little cooler 😊. But the cute part was still the same 😁.
The concert started with this song. I sang it loudly 😁. It was very fun 😁.

More than amazing!😍 Once this opening song got started, I had too much goosebumps and was about to be a real goose 😄. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. What a happy experience!!
BTW, The 3rd girl is going to be unveiled officially in the next shows in Yokohama on April 1/2. Yes, at last ✌

[FYI] These are my quick reports I sent to my friends right after the two shows :
◆ Quick Repo Day 1 (Jan. 28) : *Support Dancer = Momoko * Kami= BOH, Ohmura, Isao, Hideki, 2 x Octagonal stage (Movable + Elevatable) Costume similar to Budokan * Setlist: 13 songs (5 new + 8 old) * Metal Kingdom * Divine Attack * Distortion * Papaya * Gimme choco * Megitsune * Doki Doki (one pair of BM = 6 girls) * Light & Darkness * Monochrome * Headbang * IDZ * RoR *The Legend (= Coffin)
Doki Doki was performed by Original BM and Other BM. Other was in costume with red color in skirt. They say another Su was Miko Todaka from SG

In DDM, while Su, Moa and Momoko were dancing on the octagonal stage, another 3-girl-unit in different outfit (looks like the one used for younger BM with red color) suddenly came out on another octagonal stage. The two BMs performed at the same time face-to-face like a performance competition or .... a duel.
They really looked like a mirror image with almost identical appearance except their costume. My friend says another Su = Miko, another Moa = Kokona Kato and another Momoko = Sakia.
◆ Quick Repo Day 2(Jan. 29) : BM will return to 3 girl formation
Everything remained the same except the final scene. At the very end of the show, the 3rd coffin and 3rd figure (with twin pigtails ?) appeared on the stage, but nobody could not see who she was because she was in glaring light.
And new shows were announced on April 1 & 2 at Pia Arena with capa. 12,000.
Other things I noticed:
• There were 3 thrones
• Even with my limited knowledge about SG, I could confirm Miko and Sakia were there . Miko sung with Su some part of DDM with mic in her hand.
What an amazing experience that must have been. And to be at both shows! I can only dream of seeing BABYMETAL in Japan. I am tempted to go in April but I am afraid to travel all the way to Japan with very low chance to get tickets. I will wait to see them in the USA and maybe someday try Japan. 🤘🦊🤘

love the way Su looks on her throne. only problem i have is that they use the studio version for audio so there is no crowd sounds. i would have loved to hear the crowd but they are not in the audio. i watched a few fancams of this song and you can hear Su was a little rusty at first but it is ok to me. i heard them live and to hear her sing is awesome. they can do it fast because they only had to match the video to the studio track. no matter it still is good. just wish the crowd played more sounds in the video.

Seems no one was expecting this one to be released. So good! There's some super slick camera work. I would imagine the whole show will be released on dvd/bluray at some point.
BABYMETAL RETURNS will be broadcast on WOWOW in Japan on March 25th.
I would expect the blu-ray release will be announced on Fox Day (April 1st) like they have done in the past.

I envy those fans but they are the most hard core, they have supported Babymetal since the beginning so if anyone should get to see it then it should be them. Heh when the shows were announced I checked flights and when I saw how much I knew there was no way I could get there, but maybe they will play Australia I could definitely afford to see them there. They will probably play in New Zealand when they are 50 lol and only oldies will show up to see them

Guess you couldn't resist reacting to this but i can't blame you, is a blast.
They did it again with this epic anthem as the perfect opener for this new album, prior to this all the tracks were already teased with the full titles, can't wait for Time Wave and Light and Darkness, but so far all the songs sounds really good.
SuMetal did a wonderful job with her vocal range in this one and MoaMetal too with her backing chorus.
Last weekend at Makuhari Messe they made two great live shows returning to the stage after almost two years. and by far they meet up my expectations with this epic live performance and top notch production.
SuMetal and MoaMetal showing why they're a queen and princess deserving their thrones. I'm freaking out with the cinematic drone shots!
This song was already released a couple of weeks ago audio only, so isn't new but we were expecting this live proshot version although we'll have to wait next month for live sound.
There were many news and announcements, probably they will have a new official member (most likely Momoko Okazaki, the one who has been performing with them all these years and latest live concerts) next live shows in April 1 (Fox Day) when returning once again with another headlining shows at PIA ARENA MM Yokohama, so stay tuned for more.
There was some minor issues when SuMetal was singing this live a little bit off, apparently an IEM issue or something but is all good coz we all know it's been a while since performing live and is the premiere of this song, pretty sure next live shows will be better.

(1) DDM was performed by original BM and another new BM unit wearing old BM costume with red color skirt. Apparently SuMetal's mirror was played by Miko Todaka from Sakura Gakuin (same group they all come from).

Another highlight was at Monochrome, during the bridge SuMetal ask everyone to raise their smartphone and said something like this:
Su-chan: "I want everyone's lights to illuminate this dark world (?)
(in English) Turn on your camera light (maybe?)
"Yes! It's so beautiful! This one too!"
She was also humming throughout this section. It was really beautiful.
I think someone mentioned they were doing sound check and rehearsing with Time Wave and another song i don't remember right now.
My theory is the BM mirror unit coming from another world of this metalverse, is gonna be used in between performance (just like Black Babymetal back then) to play older BM kawaii songs, such CMIYC, Iine! or Black Babymetal songs, as well to give the girls a break time, but like always OTFGK.
New official member will get her "metal" title, MomokoMetal most likely.🦊🤘🔥
As I understand it: Babymetal performed 2 days and the IEM issues, etc. were fixed the second day.

I don't think we will ever see the old crazy and off the wall Babymetal again I really miss that fun crazy unpredictable Babymetal for me they should have ended an era I like the new stuff but I love and cherish the old stuff

@@GlassMoonGaming I've seen at least ones it was released the next day after a live concert, some people worked day and night behind the scenes on that one.
The production is Insane. some people saw drones flying for beautiful shots
I believe they used drones at the Tokyo Dome shows in 2016 for the first time.
That's such a cool way to capture the footage in such amazing angles!
When they announced the new album title, I was immediately like, 'Does this mean we're getting an official third member?' and everyone shot me down. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE GETTING AN OFFICIAL THIRD MEMBER. HA!🤘🦊🤘

Those who are writing comments about their experience in the concerts of Jan, please stop! I don't know if i will be able to see them live ever, i just feel bad about it. Let me enjoy what i can see and hear!
I understand and pray that you will be able to one day. I’m purely guessing from your name and apologize if I’m wrong, that you may live south of the US. I really want to see them return to Mexico City and go farther South to Rio, San Paulo, and Santiago, if not more. They are getting big enough that it’s certainly a possibility. God Bless.
