  • My initial rundown of the Riese & Müller Load 75. this is the HS (High Speed) Version with a Rohloff e-14 hub. I also show the rain cover in this, as well as the three seat configuration.

thanks for posting this! i ordered mine this month (so won’t be getting for a while), with pretty much identical specs and will also be using with my kids so i appreciated some of the more minor details you went over in your review! would love more videos on this bike!

Will do! I have some “things I don’t like about the bike” gripe video I have been noodling through.

I have the 2021 Load 60 and I agree about the adjustability (or lack of quick adjustability) of the seatbelts. Where you were showing where the chain lock went in previous models, I mounted a Wolf components (I think is what it’s called) bottle mount to add a Topeak bottle holder. My Load 60 is pretty much configured like yours, with the Rohloff and double batteries but with the Intuvia display. I’ve been riding mine in -20 to -30 C and Canadian snow and winter and it’s been a surprise that it’s done so well. I have the GX option, although I will change the front tire to a Schwalbe studded tire next winter just to get a bit less slippage. Great video!

Thanks for the comment on low temps! I wish the documentation or marketing for the bike was more explicit about how well it holds up in low temp, rain or snow. I think it does really well in the rain. It’s great that we are able to let other people know through online comments though!

When you are talking about the lack of a water bottle mount point, you can clearly see the two pre-drilled holes for a water bottle mount. I think you need extended screws though.

Nice video! Super excited for mine to arrive. Similar spec except I went with the purion and touring drivetrain. Bummer about some of the design oversights but feels like we're still early days on refinements. Have you considered removing one of the front facing seats and moving the other in the middle for better weight distribution?

I don’t think the weight distribution is a big issue. It is just problematic when they toss themselves side to side swaying the bike.

How tall are you? I have seen a few videos and you mention your wife’s height but I never caught your height. I am 6’6” and want to know if I would fit on this bike.
