Dean Forest Railway - 9681 in the Forest (08/05/2024)

Finally - a video not from the Severn Valley Railway!
A day off from work and volunteering on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire gave time to revisit the Dean Forest Railway. The line runs for 4.5 miles between Lydney Junction to the south and Parkend to the north, calling at intermediate stations at Lydney Town, Norchard and Whitecroft (as well as a through halt at St. Marys Halt).
This video saw me taking 9681 down to Lydney Junction, before footage is taken at Whitecroft and Norchard stations. Middle Forge Junction proved a wonderful spot to watch the train curve back towards Norchard, as well as another crossing I don't know the name of north of Norchard station complex.
Fantastic sun and beautiful weather conditions meant for some gorgeous scenes to be had in the Gloucestershire countryside. Hope you all enjoy the video - including some extra footage from a visit almost a year ago too!
